Excellent hotel and could not fault any part of the service or facilities

Amazing location in walking distance of St Ives centre with beautiful views and gardens. Super helpful and friendly staff through out the hotel. The room was recently refurbished with fresh modern look, and was clean, quiet and easy to get a good night’s sleep. Dinner in restaurant was fabulous.
A few wonky things meant a reduced score on some of the criteria. In particular the heating was frustrating as it was centrally controlled and no air con, so difficult to get a sensible temperature in the room. The indoor pool is tatty around the edges and charging £1/towel is bizarre, given we’d already spent nearly £1k on a few nights stay.
These were minor niggles however, in an otherwise fantastic experience and wouldn’t put us off coming back. The hotel clearly has 4 star ambitions and I hope they continue to invest to rightfully achieve that status.

Amazing property with beautiful landscape, trail, outdoor activities and delightful breakfast! Close to the St. IVES bay.

We had a relaxing 5 night stay at Tregenna Castle. Our family room was clean and spacious and in a quiet part of the hotel. The only down side was that it didn't have a view. There are plenty of spaces to sit and relax including a lovely bar area. Breakfast was great and had a good selection. Dinner in the hotel was also good. It's a nice walk down through the woods to the town. The hotel facilities are good too including the pool, tennis courts and a woodland walk. All in all a very relaxing stay for all the family.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Its location is gorgeous and beautiful. The private walk down to the beach was a nice introduction to the area and away from the big crowds. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

My wife & enjoyed our stay @ Tregenna Castle Resort . Check was very smooth and the advice offered at reception about how to walk to St Ives was invaluable. Room was huge and breakfast both hot & cold buffet style was first class. Well done would recommend . Decor is a little dated but more than made up for in service, food & location

Hotels.com said there were two bathrooms but there was only one. Can’t fault the hotel though and we had a lovely stay.

Our stay was very good, although we were technically in the basement we still had a view over St Ives and the bay. Everything was clean and the staff very friendly.

Upon arrival we checked in and they gave us a room on the lower level. Dark and cold we asked to changed it and they accommodated us on another room. It was okay at first glance. We reported the soap was missing in the sink and shower. The morning later we went out on our walk and came back at 1600 to notice that the soap container was still empty and the room was not done. I complained at reception. We waited at the bar with no drinks offered whatsoever for over 45 min before the room was ready. Very poor service.

Very clean
The walk back from St. Ives was challenging but got easier as the week went on.
Evening ambience was missing, maybe some piped music for those eating in after a long day?
Grounds superb
Good enough for President Biden at the G7 in 2021.

In an amazing location full of trees and fields, there is the Tregenna castle. It’s a stunning property. The bar and restaurants and very good and not pricey. The swimming pool is great, the little garden/forest with path that you can walk and arrive to the town is magical. The rooms are not as great as the rest unfortunately. New beds and mats, the cleanliness is 10/10 but need some care. There were wallpapers hanging, the shower head was in a bad condition etc. if they fix the simple things we could talk for a real gem.

Beautiful West Wing rooms, amazing views, clean and tidy but very strange smell in room 58, a few minor wear-and-tear issues in the room but not enough to detract from the pleasure of the location. Staff were lovely, food very tasty but a bit pricey

Definitely unique location makes this place stand out. The staff there is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it for a weekend visit or a family celebration event. Such a special place comes with price, that you have to consider. Other then that, 5 stars

Lovely place to stay staff very friendly and helpful would stay with them again. Only downside in my eyes is no usb ports in rooms to charge phone and watch but the next time I stay I’ll be more prepared.

Very very disappointed…. We had a 3 night stay , and the first room we were given was dam right shameful !! Dirty , worn out , and unpleasant… we complained straight away ( the staff are all fantastic btw ) and lucky we got a different room in a totally different building .. and that was ok tbh …. The rooms in the main hotel are so out of date ..the breakfast was average , indoor pool out of date , outdoor pool is ok , the grounds are stunning and it’s a 10 min walk into st Ives , but until it’s updated , I wouldn’t rush back …

Well presented hotel. Fully loaded with amenities. Beautiful garden, excellent view, accommodating reception staff.
Walk to the beach. If you arw to stroll Cornwall, i would recommend for you to spare 2 days in the hotel without going out to enjoy the amenities and the relaxing beautiful hotel.

Spent a fabulous 3 nights at this hotel in August 24 with my son and family friends. We stayed in family rooms that had superb views of St Ives harbour. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean with ample room for 4 persons. The hotel grounds were stunning and there were ample activities for children - badminton, tennis, swimming. The restaurant was superb. Good value, tasty food and excellent service. I’d especially like to mention Lizxie, Belinda and the fantastic maitre d who attended to our every need and made us feel so welcome (churros boy loved eating here). Nothing was too much for them, even when a wedding was being held at the hotel. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed late into the evening of our last day. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I’ll be visiting again.

Beautiful hotel set in stunning surroundings. Lots of seating areas outside dotted around to admire the views. Our room was basic but clean and presentable. Good size pools. All the staff we saw and spoke to were very welcoming and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at the Tregenna castle resort. We had never been to St. Ives before so were pleased to discover that it was within walking distance of the town and the South West coastal path. It is quite a steep hill up and down but we walk anyway so it wasn’t a problem for us. The staff were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ate at the restaurant every evening and the food was lovely and the portions were very generous. We had breakfast every morning and there was a huge choice of things to have. The gardens were lovely and we enjoyed walking around the sun tropical gardens and the woodland walk. There were other hotel facilities that we could have used while we were staying but we didn’t. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.

Very quiet & beautiful area. Staff was friendly & helpful...wish I had more time to explore the grounds, they looked incredible. Since we only had the 1 night, we drove into town (the walk seemed a little long to commit to for the evening) for some shopping & dinner. Very quaint town and enjoyed exploring the streets. Would definitely consider this hotel again if I ever find myself in the area.

The courtyard rooms were amazing. Newly decorated, modern and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and with the right weather it feels like you’re abroad. Essentials to pack if I were staying again: sleep mask as the rooms had a bright green light which couldn’t be turned off, door wedge to prevent us being cut off from the kids due to the heavy self closing fire doors. Shelving in the bathroom was lacking so a hanging bathroom organiser. There was little drawer storage for clothes in the room so clothes remained crumpled.

We had the warmest of welcomes. From start to finish. The reception staff heard it was our wedding anniversary and they were so kind in their best wishes. As we needed to leave early, breakfast was sorted for us and Jill organised our freezer packs and chilled gifts to be stored in the appropriate. chiller. The night porters were very obliging , making sure the toaster, hot water were ready for us and getting chiller items. Really attentive. Thank you.

The caste grounds are lovely and it's in a great location. NOTE: If you're not fit and mobile, you might find the walk through the gardens when coming back to the castle a challenge as there is a BIG hill to walk up. However, there are benches to pause along the way, and there is a taxi rank in the town also. The signage around the grounds was quite confusing when trying to drive through. A lot of care and attention has been put into the land and it's extremely tranquil and a pleasure to walk around.
The interior of the castle is nice, but the rooms are very basic and could do with an upgrade. The beds are small and quite uncomfortable, and the pillows were very thin! We went 25th-28th July and the outside temp was a pleasant 18 degrees, but the rooms were unbearably hot and there was no air con. There was also a duvet on the bed- could have done with a thin blanket. Bathroom was small but done the job, although difficult to flush! The food here was amazing!! Olive bar/restaurant - great portions and really tasty! We didn't eat in the main restaurant to unable to review. The indoor swimming pool is very run down and needs an upgrade, as with the changing rooms/lockers and also the gym. We didn't use the outdoor pool.
Overall it was a 'nice' stay, but I think the standard rooms need a BIG upgrade to justify the almost £200 a night that was charged, as in my opinion, I have stayed in more comfortable accommodation for cheaper. The staff were great & were always on hand to help!
