I found the place massively disappointing, service was awful, standard rooms are very dated now and need a refresh and we couldn’t even check in until 5pm but yet they send me several messages on check out day to ensure I was out by 11am even after saying I wanted an extra hour due to the 2 hour delay at check in!
No lighting is an issue, means the girls can’t do their makeup and to be honest it’s just dangerous as you can’t see a think, I even knocked a candle over as they are not secured to anything and as the entire place is wood that’s not ideal.
The prices are ridiculous, Kin Toh cheapest main course is £60 and I’ve had a better pasta in Wetherspoons!
Overall I was just very disappointed which was a huge shame, visit the museum or bar for your Insta pics but don’t stay here or eat here

Mosquitoes in the room made life tough. No wifi made it difficult to communicate with staff for anything. Towels smell of spa oils. Not many options for dining. Overall experience was below expectations though staff is very helpful.

No water for 2 days and no electricity on Thursday while we were there , staff said sorry and said they can’t do much we have to deal with it

Azulik Tulum is a beautiful hotel, perfect for taking pictures. However, that's about it. The room was dirty and had stains on the curtains! It's a place to visit for a short while, snap some photos, and that's it. The waitstaff at the restaurants were very nice, but the beach area is small, and the water was full of seaweed and murky. Additionally, the hotel's location is not great, as it's not close to other beach clubs and restaurants. It's simply not worth staying overnight at this hotel. Make sure to read the reviews carefully before deciding to book.

I'm hyped and overpriced for what it is. You have no privacy in the rooms. The rooms are old and they smell. AC wasn't working. The rooms only have candles and no light. bathtub wasn't working and they failed to fix it.

Very pretty and natural looking hotel.
Just be aware - they told us the sunset experience is included since we are staying. We went to the experience and they said any drink is included in the experience so we selected one.
They made us pay for the drink saying it's not included so just be aware of hidden costs.

Staff were rude- it was a heater fight next to our room, and no one even bother to do anything.

Not sure where to start…it’s a tree house in the jungle. If you ask the staff for anything it seems like you’re discomforting them. Terrible experience, nightmarish to be honest. If you like sleeping with animals at night and being treated poorly this is your place.

This is the most romantic hotel I have ever been to, It’s so relaxing, Everything is so pretty and it makes you feel connected to the jungle and the sea
The only challenging thing was that there Weren’t any lights in the bedroom, which is nice to disconnect and have a different experience, but after two nights with no light it isn’t that much fun.
Still, I will go again many times, Highly recommend

The best best experience I ever had me and my husband loved it. We enjoyed the staff there. The food was delicious beautiful nature hotel. If you’re trying to look for something spiritual, relaxing couples, this is the place to go.
One thing that we did not like that there is no lights at night, and everything has to be turned on by candles, but other than that it was a perfect experience for us

We recently stayed at Azulik and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment we checked in, it was evident that this hotel falls short in several key areas.Firstly, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. We found the rooms beyond dirty and lacking basic. It was clear that the housekeeping standards were subpar.Additionally, the amenities promised on the website were either nonexistent or severely lacking. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable at best, making it nearly impossible to get any work done. There was not a proper table or chair or any power outlet for people to even be able to charge or have a coffee in the room. There was not even a single coffee machine in the room. Furthermore, the customer service was lackluster. The staff seemed indifferent to guests' needs and were unresponsive to requests for assistance. It was evident that they lacked proper training in hospitality and guest relations.
The prices were over the roof for the restaurants and overall food for the quality and portions they were offering. As hotel guests we weren’t even able to enjoy or access any of the beautiful areas of the hotel without being chased by security and stuff making us feel like intruders. Overall, my stay at Azulik was a regrettable experience. I would strongly advise against booking a room here unless significant improvementsi are made in terms of cleanliness, amenities, and customer service.

My husband and I stayed for one night just to experience the amenities at Azulik. We did enjoy the unique experience that came with a welcome ritual, the oceanfront view where we slept through the sound of the waves as our lullaby.
Few things we disliked was that it wasn’t the most comfortable at times - limited lighting in the room
during the evenings, not sound proof so you can hear the squeaking of the wood floors from above you, not much privacy unless you’re lucky to have nobody staying next door, can easily get lost as there are sections where it would be “ staff only” but there were no clear signs indicating that and lastly its very overpriced for what it is so not recommended for those on a tight budget.
I’d say stay one night for the experience…

Absolutely fabulous place; a unique gem created fort the sake of art. Was a gorgeous weekend and so glad we visited!!

Pros: The beautiful location, Beach, and Staff members Angel Maria, Bell Hop Jaime, and Bell Hop Alejandro were the reason we had a pleasant stay.
Cons: Rooms have a lot of holes all around therefore lots of spiders, mosquitos, and large insects. Candles were not enough we asked for 8 extra candles. Music was blasting too loud at night for a wellness getaway it was too loud. We did not want to go to a party resort we chose this place because peace and quiet.
Also, there is no cell service (Understanding that its a jungle) but no wifi so we could not do any work or plan out a trip in the hotel.

For the price you pay, you not getting luxury. Me has the sky villa. The next night we stayed at La Valise. Same price point, 10x better service & the views are different level

Must read;
1-don't book in advance. The price will drop.
2-its absolutely beautiful, but I wouldn't stay here again. The service is terrible.
2- you have only 2 super expensive options to eat. Room service is terrible.
3-you pay for a seven star hotel but you'd get a jungle service. I don't know why you wouldn't just camp in a jungle!?

This hotel is famous for a reason: it is spectacularly beautiful and truly a unique experience we will never forget. If this is on your bucket list, keep it on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed you went.
Pros: - staff all incredible. Well staffed everywhere, and great security. Shout out to Carlos for the impromptu wine cellar tour!
- Beach is gorgeous, clean, and pretty private. It’s separate from the main beach so much more quiet and feels very safe. More on beach below.
- Exquisite property with each direction you look being more beautiful than the last.
- Sunsets are a MUST! So stunning.
Improvement suggestions:
- add a few standard luxuries to rooms, such as bathrobes, clothing hangers and space to unpack (can be as simple as a few posts to hang dresses and some shelves for clothing)
- Unfortunately some service issues we weren’t expecting, including the check in desk not asking if we want to use a credit card for the stay. Missed a cool experience we were looking forward to bc we couldn’t leave the beach without getting our credit card from our room. No option to charge to the room without opening a credit which reception missed upon checkin.
- Beach is semi private and should be totally private for this price. Non-Guests kept hanging at our beach which made the space feel less safe to leave belongings while swimming.
- Better pillows please.
- Housekeeping missed our room for turndown so it was pitch black coming back and we had to call for help.

Azulik is a beautiful and unique place to stay. The design and construction blew my mind and were so well thought out. The restaurants and roof top patios are a must. Our stay was well worth the high price of the room, but I would only do 2-3 nights max. We missed little comforts which would become bothersome after a few days. No lights and no shower was fun but got old fast. The excessive prices on everything else was beyond ridiculous. The only option for a cup of coffee is the restaurant or room service at $10/cup. A bottle of corona on the beach, also $10. A small margarita, $30. The food in the restaurant, while delicious, seemed to have an extra zero on the end of everything. The experience was amazing but I wouldn’t go back.
