Great location and place to stay. Food and service was outstanding. A/C and hot water was excellent especially since past stays it was sub par. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Great snorkeling right off their beach. Great pool!

The property is NOT worth
4.0 / 5.0
Just spent 8 days at this resort and this is my overall review. We went during down time so it was very quiet and not busy at all. The snorkeling right off the reefs outside of the resort is absolutely amazing we saw a little bit of everything from turtles and sting rays to hundreds of different kinds of fish and lobsters. We were disappointed that on the beach we rented a cabana and still had to get our own food and drinks there was no waitress for the cabana on the beach. The food was hit or miss but we never went hungry. There were several nights that the food was amazing. Several employees went above and beyond for us like Daniel and David in particular. We loved that we could rent a scooter right from the hotel so we could explore the entire island. We enjoyed the shows and games. The mexican folklore show is fantastic. The buildings are very dated but clean and nice. The room had great AC and a nice big bed. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. Our room had its own blacony with a jacuzzi tub but being so hot outside and with iguanas etc it was a bit hot and dirty so we did not use. The property needs updating but if you dont need bougie things its a great place to stay. Wish it was adults only but such is life. Also wish the drinks were a tad stonger and they had a larger beer selection but we made due just fine. We would definitely come back to visit this resort. Id love to see Wyndham put some money into updating like they did the Playa Del Carmen on

Have been staying here for a few years. The staff is top notch. Everyone is very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is in need of an overhaul. The lobby is fine, but the rooms are really in need of some updating. The plumbing in the rooms need to be replaced. There wasn't a dresser with drawers in our room, so we put clothing where ever we could. They do have refrigerators in the rooms. The pool is usually a highlight, but was so hot it might as well have been a hot tub: not refreshing at all. Hotel Cozumel is a budget friendly hotel. The food is okay, but nothing to brag about. Mexican night is pretty good. It's an average place to stay.

The resort was not cleaned. The food variety is small. The taste to the food. The rooms were dirty and the beds were hard. Overall will NEVER recommend this resort to anyone

The cleanliness of the hotel was a major issue. My room was not properly cleaned, with visible dirt in the bathroom and on the floors. It gave the entire place a neglected feeling, which was very off-putting for a supposed resort.
To make matters worse, the food options were extremely limited. I expected a variety of dining choices, especially at an all-inclusive resort, but that wasn’t the case. The few options available were repetitive and lacked flavor, leaving much to be desired.
Overall, this hotel did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Cozumel. There are better options out there.

One of the rooms we’re not ready and we got there around 5. Shower dirty and the tub too high so it made the shower head way to low. Pool dirty. Only 2 dining places and one of them is outdoors and too many flies and too hot. Decided to go to a different hotel and we only stayed one night at this hotel. We checked out way before check out time and they still charged me another day even though we spent only one night there. Don’t be fooled, the pictures look beautiful on their website but it’s way different once you’re in the hotel.

This property was amazing for a good weekend get away!!! 10/10 would recommend 😆

Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on this property. Come on, spend some money on the rooms. Paint peeling on the shower ceiling, rust in the metal soap shelf in shower, I have no clue what the drain is in the tub, bathroom door wood is rotting out and peeling apart. Room 1128.

Checking in and out were quick and easy. I only saw a line at check-in once during the two weeks we were there. They were very accommodating when we asked to change from our ocean view room to a pool view room. (The ocean view rooms do have a little road noise and the designated smoking area is on the lawn below/ in front of the ocean view rooms.)
We have been here multiple times and appreciate that they are updating, a little bit at a time. The rooms now have refrigerators, new (comfortable) mattresses, a desk, and reading lamps above the beds.
The public restrooms have also been updated. The sinks, showers, and toilets could use updating, but are functional. Service was mostly exceptional. The front desk staff were professional and handled the couple requests we had promptly. The majority of the employees were friendly from maids, servers, bartenders, to maintenance staff. The only service we would rate as poor, were some of the lunch service staff. They seemed more interested in chatting with each other than serving the patrons. There were some post hurricane repairs and painting going on during our stay, but there was no negative impact on the patrons.
There was a variety of entertainment and some of it wasn't too bad. The meals were standard AI quality. There were usually enough choices that you could, generally, find something you could enjoy during each meal. The location is a plus for us, as we often go for walks, when not diving. It is an easy walk to shopping.

Overall a good hotel. Most of the staff is great but then you have those employees like Pedro in reservations that ruin it for everyone. Everything you can want outside of the resort is within a 20 minute walk and taxis are available. Rooms and A/C are good. Pool is nice and food is okay for an inclusive resort.

I loved the hospitality great staff friendly helpful. Property is clean and well maintained

Property is split not two sections, the first with the rooms and pool. You have to cross a four lane road to get to the 2nd part that includes the main dining room, dive shop and very small beach. There is a tunnel below the road but doesn’t include a ramp.
The pool is a beautiful and a great size, never looked too busy. Unfortunately there is very little shade in or around the pool resulting in most guests jockeying for the handful of beds near the few trees which provide some shade. Could be significantly improved with parasols provided.
The pool snack bar has a small menu (burgers, nachos etc.) which is limiting if you are there for more than a few days.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all buffet style meals with minor tweaks each day but predominately the same each day. The food was ok, however became monotonous after a couple of days. They could also do with options for children as my kids would not have found much they liked.
Overall the property was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly although you would often see them hanging out together around reception resulting in you having to approach/disturb a group of staff to ask a question or get help.
I would stay at the hotel again but only if I was using it as a base for travel outside of the hotel. I would not bring my family (children) here as there was little for them and have stayed at other ‘all inclusive’ resorts that are more suited to families.

If I came again, I would choose this hotel. Staff is so friendly, respectful and hard working. I have no complaints. My stay has been wonderful and I don’t want to leave.

Staff at the front desk, especially Carolina, were very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with plenty space for your dive bags and your suitcase. I like that they have buffet options for food. Bartenders are always very friendly, and the pool weight staff are very helpful as well. The pool itself is excellent. They have a nice boat dock for scuba/water pick up and a beach area.

When I checked out, I asked for an itemized bill separating taxes , fees, and room charge. Told it couldn't be done. Of course it can; I've stayed there before.
There was an additional guest fee for over $300 that shouldn't have been there; I was told it's an Expedia charge; I'd already checked with Expedia and they will refund but hope the hotel would simply take off the charge.
I needed to buy Pepsi Bismo; the hotel store wanted 600 pesos--that's $37.50 for something that costs under $3.00 at supermarket. Terrible to do to guests.

It was really nice and staff was very friendly.

Flies everywhere around the food. Birds roam freely at the buffet likely spreading diseases. Nothing is done to mitigate the birds. Don't drink the water!! Staff is friendly but I would not stay again.

Building is old. floors old, walls old, bathroom old, windows dirty and very old, elevator old and bad smell. pool to be updated and clean. Uploaded pictures are not what you see when you arrive to property. Very disappointed. Will definitely will not recommend this property to anyone.

Dated hotel with very poorly maintained and dated structure, especially the bathrooms. Lunch, breakfast, and dinner options are sub par and we ended up choosing to eat out.

It does not look like the pictures. The rooms are old and outdated. There was no blanket on the bed. Slept cold with just a sheet. There were no wash cloths either had to bathe with a hand towel. Food was good but very limited.

This is my favorite resort in Cozumel. Great snorkeling, friendly staff and close to Mega for souvenirs or if you keft deodorant at home. It's like wal mart.

HORRIBLE! Worst experience ever! The first room I got had a disgusting stained bathtub all yellow then they changed my room to another disgusting room I gave up. Then at checkout they tried to charge me smoking fee when I did not smoke.

Nice property and most of the staff are nice. Rooms were cleaned daily.
Food service was across the street for our first day and then served in the main dining room for the remainder of the week. Overall food was hit or miss. The meat freshly cooked on the grill and fresh fruit & vegetables were amazing but the precooked meat and pastas tasted like they came out of a can. We never got a reservation for the "nicer" dinner by the pool. Food is only served during set times. We ate out once at a good restaurant in town but other guests ate out regularly.
Although hotel advertises that there are activities most of the day, we did not see any happening. We also didn't ask. There were boxed games and books available around the elevators. Many guests seemed to be divers so pool area was mostly empty during the day which was great for just relaxing by the pool.
Mega store and town are relatively close and very walkable. I recommend going across the street from the hotel for the better sidewalks. Prices in market and smaller stores were much better on rainy days when not many cruise ship passengers make their way off the ship.
Overall our stay was good. It is a nice hotel but not really like a traditional all-inclusive with food and activities available all day and night.

Hotel looks nothing like the pictures, we did not have power at the hotel for about 24 hours and it was extremely hot in our rooms , fridge in rooms didn't work, toilet kept getting clogged in our room, there was alot of ants and little lizards in the room, roaches in the dining room, no comforter/ blanket on bed.

I must commend the front desk staff for their outstanding service. Special thanks to Carolina and Alexis. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. The check-in process was seamless and efficient. Carolina was incredibly professional, ensuring that all my requests were met promptly. They provided detailed information about the hotel’s amenities and even offered recommendations for local attractions. Throughout my stay, the front desk team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Even with Hurricane Beryl they still showed patience and and a willingness to assist. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing extra amenities, or simply offering a friendly chat, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident Their proactive approach and attention to detail were truly impressive. Overall Impression: The front desk team at exemplifies what excellent customer service should be. Their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment to making guests feel valued set a high standard. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and pleasant stay. Special Thank you for Juane from the pool towel service for completing my bracelet. A special thank you to the cook Julio for making the best spicy hot fresh pepper sauce “It was on fire” just the way I like it. Thank you Cornelio for the excellent Waiter service. Saul for the delicious egg omelet.

The service was 5 star. Staff exceeded expectations. Very friendly and attentive.
The swimming pool had tiles missing. Property needs some updates but the service made up for it.

Every year we visit the food just keeps getting better. Doing lots of improvements in rooms & buildings. It’s nice seeing same staff - like greeting friends.

From the reservation that I made, the drinks and meals are included. What I am very unhappy about is how bland and limited there was to choose in the buffet or menu. Drinks were fine, just the food. For breakfast, I did not like how the pastries or fruits did not have a clear covering, so all flies were on them.

The staff is amazing. Alexis was very helpful with reservations and anything we needed. Valentin was the best in the different restaurants.

The service staff was soo kind and informative! They really respond when you respect them and their culture. For the most part the resort was nice and clean…the cleaners work very hard. There are flying insects and ants that come in periodically and birds and qwatti that are fun to watch, but don’t FEED them! They are small wild animals. It’s like when people walk up to Elk in Rocky Mountain National Park and want to pet them. Sooo dumb! I would definitely bring my family again.

Always a friendly and helpful staff. We enjoy coming back every year (or more often) and love this place.
