At check in and throughout our stay we were made to feel very welcome.
There is a small bar which stayed open for our group each evening. Thank you!
Good breakfast with a perfect poached egg!
Perfect location with a locked car park.

The hotel is perfectly located across from the harbor and the train station. The free breakfast was very nice. My room was a little quirky, but that's what I enjoy about older, independent hotels. If you're a light sleeper you will hear the trains, but there was a portable fan in the room for "white noise" that helped me sleep.
4.5
Older hotel but in good shape. Beds were good, water was hot and breakfast was good.
4.5
Always good to get an upgrade on arrival especially after an emotional journey. Free parking on site is such a bonus. Amazing location welcoming friendly staff but also the room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast also included and cooked to order.
Only downside was building works at the station across the road was a little loud as we had the window open overnight as the weather was warm. That should be finished soon and there’s a fan if you want to shut the window.
4.5
Fantastic position very close to Portsmouth’s Historic Harbour.

Great location good friendly hotel

This is a lovely hotel beside the Royal Dockyards, making it very convenient to visit the dockyard and all the ships. It is also across the street from the train station, so it was very convenient. While we did not use any buses, there is a bus stop by the hotel, so using public transportation should be very easy. The next time I stay, I might pay for the upgrade to the dock view.
4.5
Hotel was nice and clean and close and convenient to dockyard.
4.5
Great place to stay. We was lucky enough to have a room over looking HMS Warrior and the gosport ferry. The room was clean and very modern
4.5
You can't get any closer to the dockyard attractions than this hotel. It lacks in minor ways such as dripping tap and the need for tissues and one more chair to sit on, but nothing to get upset about.
4.5
This is not a boutique hotel. It`s conveniently located, service is good but the rooms are average with low quality furniture & fittings. Breakfast okay but pretty standard ingredients, nothing at all special.
4.5
We have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on a number of occassions and it is always an enjoyable experience. Located so close to Gunwhalf Keys and the Historic Dockyard it is perfect. The rooms are varried in size and shape, but all are consistently clean and functional. Breakfast is great, with very good servic.

It is a small hotel with charm. Very quiet. John at the desk was just excellent. Very helpful, pleasant, professional, courteous, and i could go on. The morning breakfast wait staff was excellent as well. Breakfast was very good, pleasant atmosphere. It is 5 minutes from the dock yards which we spent 2 days touring. Also 5 minutes from the quay outlet shopping mall. Lots of fun to walk around. We are definitely staying at the ship leopard boutique hotel next time and will ask for room 15.

Great staff very accommodating

A small friendly hotel, good breakfast and small but comfortable rooms. Ideally situated for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Gun wharf Retail Outlet and Isle of Wight ferries.

Great location, great hotel, great staff

Very nice accomodation convenient for channel ferry crossing.
4.5
It was close to public transport

Really good hotel, lovely staff , position really good, would recommend and would stay again

This hotel is in a great location near the bus and train stations, the Navel Museums and lots of restaurants. They serve a very nice breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and they had secure storage for our bicycles.
4.5
Lovely small hotel in a great location - and having a secure free car park is always a bonus. Room very comfortable and it had the best shower!! Breakfast was very tasty!
4.5
Lovely little hotel located conveniently to the train station, ferry port, maritime museum and Gunwharf Quay, which as a wide variety of shops and places to eat.
The other thing that I liked as a engineer is the secure private car park. This is locked at night, so I felt comfortable that my tools and van were secure.
I had poached eggs for breakfast that were good quality and cooked to perfection.
4.5
Very clean and tidy ,great position for dockyard and other attractions. Host very helpful and friendly.
4.5
Easy access to Portsmouth harbor rail terminal. Close to Brittany Ferry terminal by taxi. Captain's Table restaurant was very good and a block away.
4.5
The room was good, and the location was great. The staff were very helpful and made the visit quite memorable.
4.5
Lovely heritage hotel and endearing staff who made you feel at home. The Harbor View is a bit of a misnomer as the harbor has been eclipsed by a transportation hub, so the main view is of a bus station. Harbor View rooms are at the front of the hotel, which is also the sunny side, so get very warm on nice days and the hotel does not have air conditioning in the rooms ( only common areas). Breakfast was excellent.
4.5
Very clean hotel, good position, nice staff and served a great breakfast.
4.5
The hotel is really close to The Historic Dockyard, the reason for our visit and had a vacancy. The room was great, lovely comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. The en-suite was compact but modern and clean. We had a harbour view looking at HMS Warrior and although right on the road with the trains and buses nearby the room was really quiet.
Breakfast was included in the price and provided a great start to the day with continental and cooked available. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.
4.5
Great location but would not class this as a boutique hotel. The two staff I saw were very pleasant.
Room was very hot and you are unable to open the
window but there was a fan available in room.
There was no hair dryer in our room which I would expect for £120 a night.
4.5
Staff were exceptional. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and would certainly recommend this hotel.
4.5
Perfect location close to station and dockyard with safe car parking close by. Our room had a seating area with TV away from the bed so one could watch while the other rested. This was a big plus.
4.5
Lovely place

Bed was extremely, hard resulting ina poor nights slerp, and a bad back. More attention to cleanliness requied. Moved a foot stool to draw the curtains to fins a dirty sock and a discarded lighter. Curtain was hanging off the curtain hook Breakfast was very good, and everything nicely cooked. Disappointed that it was advertised as a Luxury Boutique hotel, but fell short on Luxury.
4.5
The bed was nice and comfortable, and the service was good
4.5
Was a very pleasant stay. We had one night in Portsmouth before we went to the Isle of Wight. The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
4.5
Excellent location to Gunwharfe Quays and Historic Dockyards. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast: lots of choice. Secure parking behind the hotel. A number of good restaurants within walking distance. To travel further afield, train and bus station opposite on The Hard.
4.5
Beautiful site on the harbor, close to trains, shipyard exhibits, and transportation.
4.5
The staff at the Ship Leopard go out of their way to help guests with enquiries about the city including the places to visit and eat. Their friendly, informative and experienced manner made for an excellent hospitality stay. Thank you to all the staff front house & behind the scenes.
4.5
Clean, quiet hotel and very convenient for the dockyard. Friendly, efficient staff. Perfect for our needs
4.5
The room was basic and a little tired . It needs more options with the tea tray (bottled water) . And a safer place for it . Windows very draffy didnt close properly felt it wasnt worth the money they were charging .yes we had a sea veiw which was lovely and how it was advertised. Breakfast was disappointing. Need better quality sausages, fried bread socked in fat .
Serves when we arrived very friendly and polite. Very clean social aeras . And parking very easy to find .
