Compact stylish room with all we needed, friendly staff and a high standard of cleanliness.

The room was very clean and staff were friendly. The decor of the room and bar was very good and the bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast and a bacon or sausage bap was great.

Well done Becketts you exceeded our expectations

This hotel has been wonderfully renovated. It’s authentic but very modern too. We loved our stay here for 2 nights and do not hesitate to recommend. We needed 2 days for the Dockyard visit which was awesome. Local restaurants did not disappoint. Parking was easy right outside. Super king sized bed was comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The family who run it are super helpful. Thank you Felix & Mary.

The shower in our attic room was a little underpowered.

Weekend away birthday

The b and b was fantastic. The staff are really lovely and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Loved the cocktails and the free breakfast was lovely as well. Me and my partner will definitely be back again.

The room could of been bigger but I can't complain for what we paid. It was definitely a lovely room and comfortable and cosy.

What a gem!

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the continental breakfast was fabulous. The room and hotel were stylishly decorated. I would highly recommend it!

Amazing cosy fun and a great break thankyou!

Beautifully stylish and super friendly staff. Cocktails were the best we have had and definitely worth a visit for them alone! Great location- we would go again. Used pin code to activate doors rather than a key- brilliant

Well appointed Boutique hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff.

Great decor. Room was very well thought out and although a little hot when we arrived, it soon became comfortable. Room very well equipped with water, coffee making, hairdryer and Safe (there was also access to an iron just down the corridor) Loved the out of hours access via the key code to the property and our room.Continental breakfast buffet was well stocked and very tasty. We were also offered delicious breakfast brioche baps. Sonny who checked us in and the young woman who was there at breakfast were extremely welcoming, courteous and professional.

Quirky, stylish, welcoming, and relaxing.

I loved the style of the place and the friendly attentive staff. The location was excellent and the room was beautiful. The keypad access was unusual but actually really good and I will certainly be returning.

Enjoyable stay would recommend.

Lovely hotel with good sized rooms and friendly team. Nice continental breakfast with the choice of breakfast bap. 5 minute walk to the seafront.

Sound isolation of Room 1 could be improved. Traffic from the main road outside and pedestrians walking by can be heard quite clearly.

Amazing stay in Portsmouth

Room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing. Loved being treated like a person and not just 'another guest' with staff going above and beyond for our check-in and stay to be as stress-free as possible

The bathroom floor got incredibly hot and we couldn't figure out how to turn the heating down

Spot on

Location was perfect 10 mins walk from guildhall and 5 mins from seafront. Good continental breakfast and bacon roll option if required. Will definitely stay again. Little gem

Incredibly stunning

Highly recommend staying here and will return.

Lovely welcoming bar with log burner. Bedroom was nicely decorated and a decent size. Friendly staff. Breakfast was so much more than a continental style and everything was delicious. Particularly liked the keypad entry to the building and bedroom so you don’t have to carry a key.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr guter Lage, Perfekt für 1-2 Nächte.

Die Ausstattung der Zimmer traf unseren Geschmack. Das Gebäude ist außen "alt" und innen ist es industrial/modern. Wir hatten ein normales Zimmer und ein Deluxe Zimmer. Das Deluxe Zimmer lag zur Hauptstraße raus. Die Info stand auch in der Beschreibung, allerdings wird in der Beschreibung eine ruhige Straße beschrieben, dass können wir nicht bestätigen. Die ganze Nacht war Verkehr auf der Straße vorhanden. Wenn man Geräuschempfindlich ist, sollte man nach einem Zimmer nach hinten raus fragen. Die Lage vom Hotel ist nahe einem Park und Hafen/Strand-Promenade. Das Hotel hat keine eigenen Parkmöglichkeiten, aber wir haben einen Parkplatz in der Parallelstr. erhalten. Die Parkplätze rund um das Hotel sind kostenpflichtig, aber mit der App (RingGo) ist das kein Problem und Nachts bis 8:00 AM fallen keine Gebühren an. Das Frühstück (im Preis inkl.) ist ein einfaches Continentales/süßes Frühstück.

Leider waren bei beiden Betten die Matratzen jeweils auf einer Seite durchgelegen. Wir haben aber dem Service Bescheid gegeben und es wurde uns das Gefühl übermittelt, dass man sich drum kümmern wird.

Comfortable stay with lovely extra touches

Location was very good for access to the seafront and Southsea. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Our bed was very comfy. It was our wedding night and they had put rose petals on the bed which was a lovely touch thank you. I had dropped my bag off earlier in the day and it was waiting in our room. Night entry was easy.

I wouldn't stay again

The bed is comfy and the service was warm and welcoming on arrival

For us the road noise from Room 1 was horrendous. The windows are single glazed and neither of us slept well at all, being constantly woken by people walking past chatting and cars on a busy road. It was Saturday night and there is a fair bit of student accommodation nearby so perhaps to be expected but we're not used to so much noise at night and hence didn't really sleep. You can also hear the other rooms around you as they use the toilets etc. The breakfast is very basic and not great quality. I hadnt realised the restaurant is now closed so the only hot food is a microwaved bap, otherwise it was bland pastry and poor choices of cereal. Call me old fashioned but I love the cooked breakfast element of a B&B and was very disappointed. I'm sure it said it somewhere on the booking form but I missed it and wouldn't have booked had I known. My mistake perhaps. Side lights in the bedroom had the wrong bulbs in so they constantly flickered when on, which wasn't great for my wife's epilepsy. Wet room bathroom is a nice idea but in reality you just end up walking onto wooden floors with wet feet which can get a bit slippy. All in all just too many things not right for us to stay again. A shame as they've clearly spent money on the rooms and its a nice location.

Small but friendly

Lovely staff and nice continental breakfast plus hot offering. Good location if you’re happy to walk. The drinks in the bar were nice too.

Very small room no5 and the room was really hot even with two fans on. The bathroom was small, toilet right next to the shower.

Very nice hotel. Room was very small but bathroom quite large in comparison. Comfortable, very clean, nice furnishings. Breakfast was lovely.

They didn't have any decaf coffee - our only gripe really because I missed my coffee in the morning.

Good value for money, and overrall well satisfied!

Good boutique hotel, which was what we wanted rather than Marrriott or Holiday Inn type of hotel. Conveniently located for sea and Old Portsmouth. Car parking arrangements fine once aware of the local conditions. Good value for money.

Breakfast limited, but was aware when we booked, room and bathroom smaller than expected. Would have paid more. Road traffic could be annoying, but didn't seem to bother us.

Beautiful boutique B&B

The location, pretty close to seafront and to all amenities. Very nice continental breakfast, and we even had the choice for hot breakfast which was amazing.

The shower on the room due to size can make the bathroom a bit wet but it wasn’t a problem hence why haven’t decreased the rating.

The bathroom obviously had a damp issue, there was a strong smell of mould, luckily it was warm enough to leave the windows open
