About this house rental
Relax with family and friends at "Oversee," an enchanting two-story lakefront cottage on one of Western New York's scenic Finger Lakes.
Welcome to Oversee, an endearing lakefront home built in 1890 located on Keuka Lake, in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country. This home is perfectly suited for a family vacation or group of friends looking to get away. This home has 5 bedrooms and two full bathrooms; three queen size beds, one full size, and a bunk room with two twin beds and another full size. Each room is equipped with a window AC unit (with the exception of the full size bedroom).
Across the small lake road on which Oversee is located are steps leading down to approximately 50 feet of private lake frontage. Enjoy your morning coffee on the dock, lunch on the beach at the picnic table, and evenings with s'mores around the lakefront fire pit. We also offer a gas grill (propane provided). Another highlight of Oversee is the vine roofed pergola. This is the perfect location for eating, enjoying a glass of Finger Lakes wine, or kicking back with the family.
The home offers a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and large dining room table for the whole family to gather around. The living room features an oversized window facing the lake, along with comfy furniture for some late night board games. The spacious flat landing at the top of the backyard is the perfect place for outdoor activities.
Oversee is located a scenic 15 minute drive from Downtown Penn Yan which offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment. One week prior to your arrival, you will receive a curated list of recommendations for your trip, including wineries, breweries, restaurants, outdoor activities, and more information accessible through your digital guidebook.
Guests will have access to the entire home, yard, beachfront and dock. Garage access is not permitted.
We are a short distance or phone call away if guests should need any assistance during their stay. Let us know how we can help!
There are many options for bike, boat, canoe, and kayak rentals in the area. This quiet road provides a perfect location for walking, running, biking and more! Downtown Penn Yan is about a 10 minute drive from Oversee.
Oversee offers self check-in. Guests are free to check in anytime after 4PM. We ask that you check out by 10AM, because that’s when the cleaning crew arrives. We cannot guarantee early check in, but we will inform you if this option is available!

Stayed here with my sisters and senior parents, and we really enjoyed our time at this lovely, historic home. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable and clean. The hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel welcome. Any questions that we had were answered so quickly. We hope to come back soon.

We were looking for an affordable five bedroom house with lake access, and we found it. Grocery shopping was nearby, as were several vineyards and breweries. We found our way to a local trivia night and live music. All in all a great vacation.

We stayed here as a family for a couple lake days. With 4 adults and 5 kids under 6 this house was perfect. We had plenty of room and felt like the house met all our expectations. We can't wait to stay again next year!

Charming old house with a wonderful view of the lake. My family and I had a great time around the fire pit and swimming off the dock with my brothers paddle board. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the front porch admiring the lake with some music and some beverages. There was 8 of us so we were very thankful for the 2 bathrooms and the air conditioning. Check in was easy, check out was easy, and the host was quick to repsond with any question I had.

Loved our stay here with a family of 9 people in August, very satisfied, and the only suggestions I would have for the owner and any potential renters is just that the house is pretty rundown. Madison the property manager did an amazing job. There's nice towels readily available, good soaps and such in the showers, coffee/tea., an excellent house manual, etc. We had one issue and Madison was quick to respond and take care of things and was really perfect.
The house is as appears in photos but in general the condition of the house is pretty poor and so anyone renting should be aware what they're getting. Like the light switches and vent in the upstairs bath don't work, all the windows have to be propped with boards (it's a house from the 1850s so that is reasonable). all of the bedroom and bathroom doors squeak and don't really close or have to be shut using a shoulder, and then a hard tug to open. My daughter got locked in the upstairs bathroom because the doorknob wasn't fully on. The toilets are those really low miniature ones that don't accommodate an adult body very well. There are one or maybe two electrical outlets in most rooms and so there are hidden extension cords run under carpets everywhere to try and help. Oh and the long stairway down to the lake needs to be rebuit-it tilts heavily to one side which is ok, we used it everyday, but it clearly has shifted.
Our family had a terrific stay but wanted to share in case anyone expects modern polish.
Thx again!

The location is great, check in process was very easy and hosts were easy to contact. The house was clean and just a quick drive into the town of Penn Yan. Great spot to stay on the lake
