Beds are really uncomfortable.
Horses are pretty.
Breakfast is below average.
Probably a 2 star property at best.

Clean, comfortable, easy to find, beautiful property, and the staff were great. Check in was very easy. Free breakfast was a bonus! The common area upstairs offered a great place to hang out after a long travel day. It is a shared bathroom with two other rooms but that was not a problem. The horses were so great too!

Clean, comfortable, lovely breakfast, and beautiful Icelandic horses!
4.7
Wonderful space and stop over. Staff was super helpful and the breakfast wonderful with lots of variety. The farm was idealic with horse just around the corner to visit, would go back in a heart beat.

Beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay here the most out of our trip. Hidden gem!!

Amazing place to stay! Very clean and tidy. The lounge area was very homey. The breakfast was way better than expected. Their horses are beautiful. Overall a very good stay!

Such a beautiful property

I highly recommend for a peaceful stopover or for a long stay. The staff was kind and the home was clean and quiet. Sometimes guesthouses are loud or dirty but this one did not feel that way at all. I highly recommend staying here. It’s not right in the mix of things but it’s not far between two bigger towns and nice attractions.

This property was recommended to us by a friend. We loved the horses, there were two ‘families’ roaming right near our cottage, 2 young foals. Also popped in the stable and petted a very friendly horse. The cottage was perfect for 3 adults, 3 bedrooms, modern and lovely decor. We only went into the main building to check out the common area, which is like a library you’d see in a movie, dark furniture with areas to hang out, enjoy a beverage and even play games. It is odd that you let yourself into the rooms, but feels safe. The road in is as bumpy as they say.

Great place to stay. We had a suite with a private bathroom so had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. The included breakfast was very good as well. Staff were very helpful and it's a nice perk to have the working stables right next to the guest house. Blackout curtains kept the room fairly dark, though there was no cover for the bathroom window and the frosted glass door for the bathroom didn't block much of the light coming in through that route. But that's the only minor negative I have... Overall it was an excellent place to spend a couple nights.
Easy access to a few good sights too. (BTW, be sure to rent a 4x4 so you can visit Stakkholtsgka Canyon. It's a beauty.)

Access to the horse barns is amazing! I really loved being able to hang out with them whenever I felt like it
Breakfast was delicious and the staff were attentive.
The walls are a bit thin, but all the other guests were pretty quiet so it was not a huge deal.
At the time of writing this, the listing said there was laundry available but that was not the case.
4.7
Absolutely wonderful! The views, the barn, the people, the stay, everything was just perfect and what we were looking for.
4.7
Easy check in, property with all necessary amenities
4.7
High quality room in a wonderful scenic, rural location. Couldn't ask for better. Check in was easy as our keys were waiting for us in the lobby.

Beautiful location and lovely guesthouse on a nice farm. We arrived pretty late here around 10 PM and our stay was ruined by by wet sheets for the sofa bed. I msged the property and they did respond by offering to give me directions to where I can go find alternate sheets. Being very exhausted, just wanted to eat dinner and goto bed. Tried to adjust by using the extra comforter as a sheet but when we went to bed past 11, found that was wet as well. Had a horrible night sleep as we tried to shuffle sleeping arrangements. They did offer us free bfast for the inconvinience but wasn't able to make use of it as we had to rush to the airport in the morning. Overall the only place in our almost 2 week trip around Iceland that was not great. In general, it could be great place and maybe our experience was an anomaly but for the price we paid was not at all satisfied with our stay.
4.7
It was a really nice stay for 2 days

Very comfy beds, lovely lounge area. Amazing views. Lots of flies in the summer....cover food at breakfast, net in room to stop them.coming in. Road leading to location....no tarmac the one way, very rough for cars.
4.7
the owner is considerate. The kitchen has almost all the stuff I need
4.7
We were concerned by some of the reviews but the unit was really impressive. It has a full kitchen with everything you need. The horses were very friendly to interact with too.
4.7
Quaint guesthouse on a real Icelandic horse farm. We stayed at the apartment, which had lots of space, full-stocked kitchen (although we could not find silverware!), and bathroom. It was lovely to wake up to horses roaming free outside our window. The breakfast was delicious and appreciated. We'd stay there again as it was convenient on our road trip.

This has been my favorite spot to stay in Iceland! It’s quiet, clean and the view with the horses is amazing.
The common area was clean and inviting and breakfast was excellent
4.7
Spacious new and modern apartment with fully equipped kitchen; guesthouse with stylish lounge offering free coffee/tea.
Laundry facilities not available in contradiction to the specs on Expedia

This is a quiet and clean guesthouse that is a good option after the Golden Circle if you are going to go south towards Vik. The beds were comfortable and there were blackout shades. There is a full kitchen and a washer. The dryer was a wall/towel type dryer. There is a unpaved road to get to the house. Go slow in a small car and it’s fine. I recommend this house. It’s safe and modern.

We liked the quiet area.

Beautiful and Quiet countryside stay

Definitely take the family to this updated apartment with all the amenities in a gorgeous setting, where you can pet the horses day or night!!!
4.7
To get there there is probably a 6-7 km drive on a gravel road suitable for all cars. The guesthouse is a separate building with 6 rental units situated on a large working horse farm. We rented a unit with its own large private bathroom for one night and our stay was quite comfortable. The included breakfast was also good. We visited the horses in the stable, then we went on our way.
4.7
Nice to stay at a horse farm which was a different experience

In general the appartement is good, but lot of little things are very annoying.
In the kitchen there is only 3 cutlery set and no good place to store them... We were 3 so it was enough for us but we needed to clean them to have something for eating in the morning...
The appartment is made for 4, good luck for those who will came at 4 and eat with only 3 cutlery set !!!
There are no paper towels in the kitchen either... This is essential (and basic) when you rent a flat with a kitchen !
When we arrived we needed to empty the dishwasher from the previous guest... It should have been done by the cleaning team BEFORE we arrived !!!!
In the bathroom, there is no bin... It cost 15€ and is very helpfull, basic and essential to have ! It's a shame to not have it...
There is also a very bad smell in the bathroom (like wet dog or sweating), it's probably due to lot of humidity in this room. A vents in this room should have not been too much !
Lot of little problem that can be solved very easily and with a very low cost.

Excellent stay, lovely apartment. One minor improvement would be blackout blinds in the main room next to the sofa bed as the outside security light shining through the window was a little annoying.
4.7
A very nice updated, clean, quiet place! Enjoy one night stay!

We loved the Armot Guesthouse! We had a large room with a private bath (with jacuzzi tub) and balcony overlooking the horses. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The setting for this guesthouse is just so peaceful. I spent some time just relaxing in the common area watching the horses outside. Visiting with the horses in the stable was awesome. It was wonderful to see them so close.
Overall, this was a fantastic property. Do not hesitate to book!

The place is simply amazing to stay at. The location is so easy to get to, it is quiet and peaceful with horses running around. Being able to visit the horses in the barn was a plus for our kids.
The host, Stella, was amazing. She helped us settle in, help address our questions quickly and shared lot of interesting insights in and around the place.
The local shops are only 10 min away. Please make sure to buy your coffee, tea and soaps before coming to the place.
Will definitely recommend staying at this place and will come back if I am ever back in Iceland.
4.7
Clean quaint property on a horse farm. Beautiful location in the country.
4.7
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and nicer people and horses all around. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to come back and stay again
4.7
Great staff who cooked a delicious breakfast including bacon and eggs. Only thing is that the property is located off a long gravel road and not clearly marked. Google maps said 8 minutes off the main road, but it took us closer to 20 given the unlaced road. Also, the place is a little creepy with the layout of the house and taxidermy animals. Would not stay here alone
4.7
It's away from the city but easy to reach. The room is pretty big and everything is comfortable. We visited the stable the day after we checked out. what a fun experience with the Icelandic horses. and the breakfast is nice BTW.
4.7
Very nice place to stay for the second half of our honeymoon. Breakfast was awesome every morning and the views astounding.
4.7
Tastefully appointed guesthouse with quiet and spacious rooms. Lovely farm setting with views of mountains and glacier.
