We loved our stay, it was a beautiful peaceful outlook and in a great location not far from the Main Street.
Amy was a lovely and helpful host, anything we needed she was available and we loved that there was bikes we could hire daily from Amy!

This is the place for you if you want to be near the amazing town, 4 mins walk, but somehow in the cutest little place with a sloth outside the bedroom and lovely owner and pets.
Not for you if you are a partier, allergic to dogs cats or Chooks or too tall. It’s a quaint little dreamboat of a house with murals all over the wall and the NICEST guests always up for a little chat. Host is super welcoming and warm. Well equipped kitchen, cute facilities. Bikes for hire. Lots of space to hang your towels etc. although they probably won’t dry due to humidity.
We loved our stay here. It’s about the nicest, homiest, loveliest that ‘basic’ accommodation can be! Thank you.

The porch facing the jungle was our favorite part. The rooms are simple and clean. We loved how the whole place is tucked right into the jungle. Amy communicated well and made our stay fantastic.

The owner was really friendly!! The house was colourful and cosy. They provided storage in the kitchen and bathroom per room. The room was small but we had a balcony that looked over the jungle and we saw a lot of animals (a sloth, leguana, agouti…).

Loved it here. Perfect blend- nice rooms with chilled vibes- 5 min walk into town. shared kitchen and eating area, hot showers.. Forest view from the bedroom. Lots of nice beaches to check out-- recommend hiring a bike and going up to manzanillo. the owner and her regal hounds and were lovely. One of my fav places I stayed in Costa Rica would recommend.

Very good location close to the beach. It's in the jungle so you can see animals from your window. There are a a lot of plants growing there and some animals as dogs, a cat chicken etc. which create a very nice atmosphere. There are a lot of places to meet up with other guests. The kitchen is very well equipped.
The bathroom on the first floor is very tiny. For people >1,80m it can be difficult to move inside.

Just wow! We loved this place. Amy is so friendly and helpful. You can see that the house and especially the rooms are made with love. The kitchen is really clean and there’s a lot of space in the fridge. The bathrooms are clean as well and you get towels for the beach and for the shower. The internet was really good and fast. As soon as it gets dark, your can here the jungle waking up. That is magical. Because it’s pretty small you get in touch with the other guests. We spent every night sitting outside talking and having fun. We highly recommend this place :)

Amy, the host, is awesome. At your arrival she will give you a great introduction for everything you need to know as well as a special welcone drink. With the lovely dogs, the cat and the many chicken running around it feels like a little farm in the middle of the jungle. Hearing the oceon and all the animals during the night is so peaceful. Very good wifi!
Room and shared toilet was very small but definitely good value for money

It is a unique place! I had a wonderful stay at the Hidden Jungle Beach House. The house is small and unique, it has everything you need and every detail is very well thought through. You are close to the beach AND you are in the jungle. I loved that! You hear the waves of the ocean during the night and the sound of the jungle animals - it is very relaxing. Amy is an amazing host and can help you with everything. I especially loved my morning coffee on the veranda/balcony together with Amy‘s dogs Guapo, Coffee and I think the little one’s name was Sirus, who sometimes also joined 😍❤️ Thank you for making my stay unforgettable!

It’s a cute cabin and though you’re surrounded by nature, it’s just a five minutes walk into town. The spacious kitchen makes it easy to cook something - even though we were more than two people sometimes it worked out very well! Our host Amy is such a beautiful soul and sunshine! always helpful and so kind! thank you Amy!
There’s nothing to complain about!

The location is a quick 5 minute walk to downtown but hidden away from the chaos of Puerto Viejo construction and night life. It’s the best of both worlds tucked in the heart of the Caribbean coast jungle. The shared kitchen space is lovely and made a perfect home office for 10 days while I worked remotely. Amy is never far away to answer your questions or provide you with useful information about the area. The cleaning ladies Gloria and Indianna were always around and helpful with everything from practicing Spanish to doing stranger’s dishes. There is an amazing team of people at Hidden Jungle Beach house to make your stay the best it can be! Also thanks to Alvin for always offering to carry my bags!

Lovely location amongst nature. Super friendly host, Amy is very helpful and provides local knowledge and guidance on various matters. Nice murals throughout hostel. Great wifi. Would have stayed a bit longer but hostel is very popular

Amy the owner is very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, very close to the center but still quiet enough to get a good night rest.
I am tall (1.90m) and for me the mosquito net was kinda small so I would get stuck in it with my feet.

I loved the location. Not far from town but away from the noise. The kitchen was great, super clean! Definitely for the respectful conscientious traveler as you are in close quarters sleeping wise and this spot is social but about tranquility.

Host was very friendly!
WAY too expensive for what you get! For 45$ per night you can get much better hotels in Puerto Viejo. We stayed at another place for the exactly same price and it was 10 times better.
- rooms are very small
- all wood you hear everything (our room was next to the toilet. When you lie in the bed it feels like the person on the toilet is sitting next to you
- bed quality is pretty bad
Overall, if it would be 15-20$ per night that would be fair. But not for 45 $! So you have to deal with other hotels in this price area and these are MUCH better.

Amy is very friendly, helpful and nice. The kitchen was great and everything very clean.
The room look much bigger, it was very small, the bed super small, very uncomfortable. The room was so tiny, I felt I am suffocating. The van did not help with the heat, during the night it was always very hot. The price for the room is way too high for what it was.

I absolutely loved my stay here! So much so, I regretted not adding an extra night. Its tucked away from all the noise like you are in your own sanctuary. Very close from the bus stop. Quick walk to restaurants and markets.

Everything. Kitchen well organized and clean. Hostess was really friendly and helpful. Location is nice, right outside the centre. So it's calm and peaceful. Beach right across the street. Recommendable!
We were unlucky that we visited during a storm. Had rain for 4 days.

I’ve booked this place the same night of the arrival date and supposed to go there the morning after. There was no option of booking with the possibility of cancellation so I’ve chosen the regular option. In the morning of arrival I’ve talked with some other tourists who were visiting Porto Viejo just couple of days earlier and they told me that there have been floods, one bridge collapsed and that it is not the best time to go there.. I’ve contacted the lady from the property and asked her to cancel and not to charge me but they still charged me for 1 night (they didn’t agree to waive the fees:/) in other places when things like this happened, I was always fully refunded so I got a bit surprised that they were so rigid.. especially because it was not my fault but the weather conditions

Amy' s place is at a fantastic location and she really goes the extra mile to help you with whatever you need. Nothing was a problem. The wifi was absolutely perfect. I am a digital nomad and videocalls were running without any problem. There are lot of animals on the property, doggies, cats, mini crabs, chicken which I really enjoyed! Just mind that the rooms are quite small but there is enough communal space to get by. I would definitely go back and can recommend the stay very much!Amy is the best!

Very close to the town centre, but not noisy. Equiped shared kitchen, if you want to use it. Few shared showers, so there was never a line.
Staying in this place is all about the good vibes and not the comfort.
Everything was great.

This location is so amazing. Super close to town but truly hidden away in the jungle. And you walk out onto the street and the beach is right there. Amy is very helpful, I had trouble with the keys multiple times and she was readily available. Amy’s place is a great alternative to a hostel or hotel. There’s only 4 or 5 rooms so it’s a nice balance of having a little community and having enough space to yourself. The rooms are cozy, I really enjoyed the feeling of being in a house! I loved waking up, making tea and sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds and butterflies and all sorts of amazing creatures. I’ve been in Costa Rica 3 weeks now and this is one of the most unique stays, I highly recommend!

Everything was great. Amy met me even though I couldn't check in until nearly 10pm. Room and bed were comfortable. I loved the fan!
Easy walk to town!
I have already recommended this place to others and I'd stay again for sure.
