About this cottage rental
Enjoy the tranquility and privacy on this 5 ½ acre island, spending time exploring and hiking. Stoney Lake is well-known for fishing of muskie, walleye, and bass. Appreciate swimming in the clear water with an easy walk into the water. Paddle along the beautiful rocky shoreline and scout different areas.
Enjoy the spaciousness of the 3 buildings, one including the kitchen and dining area, another with the bedrooms and the third, sleeping cabin for 2 additional guests wanting privacy. Children and adults alike will be entertained playing sports on the large cleared area on natural, mostly rock terrain. At night unwind on one of the decks and savour the beautiful sunsets. Gather under the stars enjoying the night sounds of nature around the firepit creating great memories.

4 Bedrooms:
Bedroom #1: double bed
Bedroom #2: queen bed
Bedroom #3: 1 double & 2 single beds
Bedroom #4: upstairs sleeping area – 4 single beds (room for extra air mattresses-client’s responsibility)
Bunkie:
Bedroom #5: 2 single beds + kitchenette including bar fridge and microwave
2 Bathrooms:
Bathroom #1: 1 x 3 pc (sink, toilet, shower) – in main cottage for sleeping & social
Bathroom #2: 1 x 2 pc (washer/dryer, sink, toilet) – in kitchen/dining section of cottage
Cottage water: lake – not potable, bring your own water for drinking
Indoor entertainment: TV, DVD player, board games
Kitchen details: Fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and crock pot
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Private 2 car parking space at Carveth’s Marina (more parking available for extra fee – $95/week – space for 200 cars)
One taxi ride to and from the cottage is included in the rental – 8 people total including the driver can fit in the taxi boat per trip (extra trips are $45.00 + HST one way)
There is a water taxi service to take people to the island and pick them up (5 – 10 minutes tops, each way)
Natural rocky terrain with mostly “flattish” landscape
Child/elderly friendly
Dock: 26 ft – water is about 6’ deep at end of the dock
Wrap around deck/covered porch
Waterfront: 575 ft on both sides of the island
Great swimming
Some weeds, water shoes are suggested
2 canoes, 1 kayak
Walk in area to the water – deep water to dive off of the dock
Lake is good for motorboats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking etc
Boat & motor for rent – 9.9 hp 14’ aluminum boat
Can dock up to 3 boats very comfortably
To get back and forth in a canoe would take about 30 – 35 minutes each way from the mainland (Carveth’s Marina)
Very private – there are 14 cottages on the island – the island is so large that you can’t see the others at all with the exception of 2 of them
Cottage has full sun exposure all day
Faces west – awesome sunsets (check out the dragon in the sunset picture)
