Location and size
Dirty towels left from previous occupants in three of the rooms, no hot water, and no instructions for how to turn it on. Poor cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen. Utensils draw very dirty and disorganised.
It’s such a shame as the host was friendly and responsive about our booking, but there were just too many things that were very shoddy.
The bed sheets appeared used on one of the beds. Pillow cases put on inside out. Hole in the coffee table and bedside wall table falling off the wall fixtures.
It appears to be a student house that is being rented out? The location was really good and the size perfect. Just needs a good clean and repairs done, it would be lovely.

Ideally situated in Oxford and in a quiet street. Very spacious and beds were comfy. Kitchen fairly well stocked except for a lack of tea towels, but could have done with some instructions on how to get the oven and dishwasher to work. We did manage eventually. Bathrooms were nice and modern like the rest of the house. On the downside it wasn’t overly clean in places, especially the bathrooms and kitchen. One of the sofas in the lounge smelt of vomit and the coffee table looked like it had been danced on, with scratches and a hole in it. The garden was also untidy with rubbish scattered about. There is parking for only 1 car and the rest of the roads around are all permit holders only, so we had to book another space somewhere else through just park which worked well. Overall it was fine and we enjoyed our stay and would rebook if we need to in the future

It could be a wonderful stay, a nice house.
It was filthy. The toilets were brown. The floors sticky, the shower screens never cleaned. The beds were short and uncomfortable, hair on the sheet. The kitchen benches and table were sticky and food stained. 4 mugs for 8 peopl, one has a hole in it., not enough cutlery, which needed washing. The baking trays were shedding rust and food.no tea towels, 5 bath towels for 8 people, not including the wet ones found on the back of the door. The coffee table has a hole in it, there are 2 bathrooms with a shower and 1 toilet downstairs with a light that doesn't work. We spent the first hour cleaning

I'm sure it's used for student accommodation in term time ... but it's much nicer than that sounds. Very nice big living area with big TV, & well-equipped kitchen. Good Wifi. The bedrooms are bare but clean and comfortable. Shared bathrooms, but if you can live with that, they were fine. We used all the rooms, and my friends all seemed happy with the setup. It's a leisurely walk or a quick taxi ride to the city centre.
There was a small hitch when we arrived, where the beds were all ready ... but no pillowcases. Just a silly oversight. The landlord responded very promptly and resolved the situation.

The shower worked well and the beds were comfortable. The location was lovely and only a couple of yards walk to a bus stop, handy for getting into the town centre.
The photos made the place look lovely, but the reality was very different. The property was not very clean, particularly the dining and coffee tables that had not been wiped down. A dirty tea towel had been left along with a filthy washing up sponge. We could not sit in the back garden because there was rubbish over the place. The front door was not easy to open.

very spacious, plenty of space for us all to spread out; open plan kitchen diner is very social; only a short walk into Oxford so perfectly situated, parking for one car and the owners managed to accommodate a second car for us on this occasion too which was very convenient
not enough seats for 8 of us to sit down and eat together;
no cleaning products - just basics like washing up liquid, tea towel, so we could clean up as we went along;
no oven gloves so had to use a towel to take things out of the oven;
a mirror in the bedrooms would have been really helpful to allow women to sort their hair and make up!
all minor details as it was a very comfortable stay, but the little extras would see a higher rating overall

The property was bigger than the pictures suggested and the location was good. We walked to the main high street where we found some good options for dinner. We ate at a fantastic Turkish restaurant. There was also a coop and a great Turkish supermarket. The house is close to the park and ride which is what we needed. House is located at the top of a very cute and quiet street.
Getting the information with how to get into the property was difficult. In the end we had to knock on the neighbours door, who gave us the code.
The layout and decor is odd. I don't know how to say this without being direct. I looks like it was furnished and designed by a man. It's a little impractical, and the decor choices are strange. All that to say the the made the place feel cold, and lacked in soft furnishings making it difficult to relax or feel cosy. The kitchen was ill equipped and there was an unpleasant smell in the open plan kitchen and living area. It smelt like someone had been frying food. The downstairs toilet also had an unpleasant smell.
The beds are small (so be mindful if you're planning to share a bed) and really uncomfortable. Bring your own pillows. Only two pillows per double bed and were very flat. Towels were provided although some were stained. And one of the beds had hair and dirt on the sheets. Also the shower was lukewarm.
All in all the accommodation was basic but fine for just one night.

Amazing luxurious villa, very spacious and clean. Not far from the city centre.

Great Location - walkable into Oxford or Bus nearby.
Good space for meeting up with friends.
The property had not been heated despite it being a freezing cold day and snowing. The top floor heating did not work at all and we were told it would be a week before someone could look at it. We were provided with a small portable heater after making a fuss.
The patio doors were unlocked and the keys were missing so it was unsafe to leave any valuables and we had to sleep every night with unlocked doors, five women!! Host unable to rectify this.
The property was not clean. There were dirty towels left in the cupboard and someones toiletries in the shower.
Kitchen was not equipped to cook a meal - there were no serving dishes or wine glasses.
This property is equipped as a student let it is not what it seems on the website.
