Location is excellent for the law school functions. The room was large and well appointed.
The TV service was out the entire time we were there. The bath room shower design is difficult. The door opens in only and hits the control handle.
4.7
Everything relatively new. Large room with good views. UVA campus location. Friendly staff. Free welcome drink and happy hour. Good quality evening food. Acceptable breakfast for only $1!
Expensive valet parking with no self-parking option. No bathtub, just (high quality) shower.

So clean & modern, a luxurious look. The arboretum was nice - probably is beautiful in the Spring & Summer time when grass is green & things are blooming (would love to see it then). We appreciated the breakfast vouchers! Since we are a family of 3, we requested both mornings that our 4th voucher be given to a family with children.
Absolutely nothing!

One of the better hotels I've ever stayed in! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the treats in the room + breakfast were outstanding, and the room was clean and well-equipped.
Not having an iron in the room was a bit inconvenient. I guess one could also say there's not much of a view, but that's not their fault! Also, the valet was friendly but a bit slow. This is nitpicking, though!
4.7
Overpriced! We paid $700 the night we stayed - the next night we could have stayed for just $200 - the amount they inflated prices was not fair. We hope to stay again when pricing is lower and more fair to families visiting their kids at the university.

Brand new!!! Gorgeous!!!

The property is lovely and so good for a working stay - fire places, lots of seating areas, etc. Very convenient to 250 west and law school, etc.
Nice breakfast but no hot water for tea, no spoons to stir tea or eat yogurt/berry dish, Other things were missing (cannot remember now.) Not a catastrophe, but not as good as it should have been.
Electricity was out at 2:20 until after 3am in our room. Hall and outside lights were on, but not a good feel for middle of the night to have no light and no charging and not know why or when we might see lights again.
Called for valet parking and the electronic voice said car would be ready in 7 minutes.. 18 minutes later when we asked about the hold-up, they had not received notice and had to scramble - making us late for appointment.

I liked everything about my stay at the forum hotel. The service here was truly life changing. The staff was extremely accommodating to all of our needs and we will MOST certainly be returning here next time we are in Charlottesville. Special shout out to staff members James, Cory, Brittany A & C, Peyton, Anthony, Dominique, and Jamel. This hotel was THE experience during our visit and we honestly could have just not left the hotel and still would have had just as memorable of a vacation. It is THAT hotel.

Pet friendly with support staff for dog care. New facility with Jeffersonion architecture and extensive walking trails by gardens, pools and woodlands.
No coffee in room.

Everything! Nice new clean! Been on a three week road trip and stayed at the Ritz several times, among other nice places….this was by far the best place we have stayed, and one of the cheapest.
Nothing not to like. Great place and staff was prompt and friendly. Dinner was great too!

We loved The Kimpton. It was so nice on a beautiful campus. The room was large, and the bathroom was spa-like. Our king size bed was so comfy! After a day at Monticello, we decided to order from the restaurant downstairs and eat in. We will go back!
Nothing!

Grace the bartender at good sport was friendly, professional and attwntive
First time I’ve stiffed a valet in years but I don’t regret it. He stood there watching me carry and load our several bags, didn’t lift a finger to help, and then stood there at the door of the car like “Where is my tip?”. Odd, because every other employee of the place was just really fantastic. Is that a contract company or something?
