Had a nice stay for 3 nights. Super quick walk to the Bay or Beach. Parked in the lot of off Santa Clara without any problems. Few minor things the cottage could use but wasn’t a big deal. Host communication was awesome!
I would definitely stay here again. 💙

This was the perfect little beach getaway bungalow. Super close to the beach and the bay and lots of restaurants as well. It’s small and quaint but very clean, we felt safe and we didn’t need anything bigger as we were out and about most the trip. We initially couldn’t find parking after we unloaded but realized we could park at the Santa Clara rec center and it worked out perfect.

It was a joy to wake up every morning and take a walk on the beach and or the Board Walk‼️
My husband and I would come back to our rental and make coffee and breakfast and eat it out on the cute little patio, very private.
It was the perfect place for a couple to stay!!!

This property while okay, is in a horrible location with lots of issues. The inside is dark with not enough lighting, patio is non existant and area is unsafe with unsavory people. Would not recommed this unit. Property management was very helpful in finding us a new location.

Really enjoyed our stay here. My husband and I met our college age son in San Diego for a long weekend. Easy walk to the beach, the lagoon, lots of restaurants and funky shops. Parking is a bit challenging but could find an overnight spot down at the lagoon side. Very cozy but comfortable. Very responsive host for questions.

It's a funky little beach bungalow, super comfy and clean.
Hard to find a better spot for me, great food, coffee, bars, beach all within 100 yds. You can spend a whole weekend without leaving this little section of Mission beach.

What a great place to stay! We had a blast in this place. It's small, but fit us perfectly and we had everything we needed. At first parking was a concern, but having arrived on 7/4, it was super busy and we found street parking easy during the rest of our stay. Walking distance to the beach, shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Place was decent for the money, but the lack of parking and having to park many blocks away is a huge negative.
The security light at the shack across the alley from the bedroom window is defective, so there is a strobe effect all night long that kept us awake. We ended up hanging blankets over the curtains to lessen it.
The homeless ruckus in the alley was kept at bay by the neighbor, thankfully, running them and drunkards off throughout the night.
Overall, I may stay again if I were there for a beach vacation or whatever, but for me needing sleep and a washer/dryer for working all week, this was not ideal.

The property was just as described & we enjoyed it very much. Location was great, short walk to the beach or the bay. Great food choices within walking distance. Defiantly recommend the coffee shop, Saltwater Culture, not even a 30 second walk from the bungalow. The small outdoor table and chairs were perfect for our breakfast & coffee. For those, like me, who enjoy a cool breeze during the nights, the ceiling in the bedroom works great. The AC unit kept us perfectly cool in the afternoon when it got a bit warm outside.
Got to meet one of the neighbors, very friendly and gave some good tips for local exploring.
Only recommendations; more coffee pods for the Keurig (for those of us who drink LOTS of coffee LOL) & menus or info for some local favorite coffee shops and food places.

Perfect location in Mission Beach! The neighbors are great to chat with. It's right across from an incredible little local bar. Super easy to uber to any location in the city you would want to go. The house is a perfect size for two people. We loved it.

This listing is absolutely adorable! It was perfect for a quick get away for me and my partner. Great location with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had the best time walking the beaches and chatting with the locals. We enjoyed every second!

The location was phenomenal. Propert was a cute bungalow on bayside. Value for price was off the charts in my book. Best part of the stay was getting to bond with neighbors who are local to Mission Beach for decades. We will be back again!!

The cottage was perfect for my two children and me. Sufficiently stocked and perfectly located to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the convenience to the beach. The neighbors were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The cottage was clean and cozy. Just as described 1/2 block to the bay and 1 1/2 to the beach. Many good eating and drinking establishments nearby. I will return.

My fiancé and I decided to take a last minute vacation to MB, & Molly was very responsive from the beginning, she was very welcoming to us and our dog, & the neighbors to the cottage are all locals and very helpful. The location is prime, & parking wasn't too difficult since our stay was during the week. It was very close to the bay & ocean side, so we had the best of both worlds. She was very attentive & we will definitely be booking with her again. We will also recommend to others!

The location of the property is excellent. Walking distance to the beach and the bay. The only drawback is the parking but plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I definitely would recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean little place tucked away by great shops, beach rentals nearby by and a block from the beach - always able to find a spot on the beach! Great neighborhood and easy to get around with bikes/scooters etc. Molly was very responsive and the neighbor guys were super friendly and helpful. It’s nothing fancy but had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable.

Had a nice stay, only thing I thought was odd was having to wash colored linens, without any laundry soap provided or laundry card, the laundry cost 3.50..however bed was comfortable and appreciated the a/c and the fan above the bed. I'd definitely stay again!

Molly was responsive and everything was clean and in perfect order upon arrival. The location, being only a block from the beach was perfect. Access to stores and restaurants also very convenient. Parking in this area is a real issue, so a car isn't recommended - you'll never wait more than a couple minutes for Lyft and Uber. Stove hood vent (i.e., microwave/vent) vents inside, so cooking anything that smokes ever so slightly will set off the fire alarm in the bedroom. This did curb our cooking plans and I'm guessing this has been a problem since the fire alarm in main living area was missing. Encountered a rare heat wave, so AC and portable fan to circulate air was very appreciated. Electronic lock, eliminating need to carry a key, was great. Neighbors were very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!

It was a perfect size for 2. We walked everywhere. The area was fun, all water activities a few steps away, and the food recommendation was spot on.

Molly's ‘surfer hideaway’ cottage was perfect for my wife and I. The place was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The fridge and stove looked brand new. The shower also seemed upgraded with new tile and had real good water flow. This place also had a Fujitsu wall mounted AC unit. San Diego night's sleep cool. We were very comfortable with just the bedroom window open. But welcomed the AC the one day it did get into the 90s and it worked really well.
We always pack shampoo but Molly had a huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner under the bathroom sink. Toilet paper was also provided. There was also some basic kitchen supplies such as coffee filters, sugar, Pam spray, some seasonings, tea bags, etc.. We only cooked eggs (she had a nice big cast iron skillet which I prefer) a couple of the days but it looks like she provides most things needed to cook: bowls, utensils, plates, pots pans, kitchen towels, sponges, dish soap, microwave, toaster, etc. Oh paper towels were provided too. That's always nice to see. There were also measuring spoons we used to make coffee, more accurate than having to use a regular soon. Every shelf, cabinet and drawer was labeled so things were easy to find.
We brought our own big beach towels to lay out on but she had a few regular sized beach towels. We actually didn't need to bring our towels since we were pleased to find two beach chairs, the real low sitting kind. That was cool since I'd rather sit when on the beach.
It's located just off Mission Boulevard on the Bay side, so it was quieter at night than being on the board walk ocean side (had friends staying in such and they made a comment) but real close to a lot of good things.
Two great breakfast places within a minute walk from Molly's cottage are the Olive Cafe and Better Buzzed Coffee. The Bay and ocean side beaches are also just a few minutes walk. There is a convenience store around the corner for alcohol and ice. Taco de Playa and Ralph's grocery store were also an easy walk from this cottage.
The door is locked using an electronic deadbolt, so that was really convenient not needing to carry a key.
Overall we were totally happy staying at this cottage and would definitely hit it up again if we venture back to Mission Beach.

This tiny house is adorable! Be warned though, it's very small. We didn't spend a ton of time in the house, so it didn't get too cramped feeling too often. The beds were super comfy, the shower is full sized with great water pressure, and the location is SUPERB! Our garbage disposal went out and Molly was there within hours to fix it! I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here at the surfer's hideaway. Beach was two block away, bay was two blocks away. Good restaurants within walking distance. Olive Cafe is awesome. Thank you Molly.

Molly was such a wonderful host! She had everything perfectly set up for our arrival. Once inside all the items you may need were easily found with all the labeled cabinets. The cottage had a great day bed as well as a comfortable bedroom. The location was probably the best part! Steps from the main street and beach! We were able to easily walk to anywhere we needed to be. Along for the getaway was my golden retriever who had plenty of fun at the beach and bay! My boyfriend and I will be coming back. Highly recommend this place.

Loved our little cottage, great weekend getaway. Bed was super comfy and the trundle bed was great to watch TV on and relax. Nice neighbors and super close to the boardwalk and bay. Both great for relaxing seeing the sand and water. Great local eateries. Thanks for the great stay!

Cottage was cute. Clean and Molly was very helpful and sweet. It's is close to beaches and wonderful food. The single fin has bacon jam. It's a must try.
