About this house rental
East View, a beautifully renovated Edwardian gem, is your perfect dog-friendly coastal holiday home on the Isle of Wight. Situated in the quaint coastal village of St Helens, just steps from the village green and sandy shores, this 3-bedroom retreat comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests and 2 dogs. The property features a lovely enclosed gravel and decked garden, the perfect sun trap for enjoying a morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine.
Upon entering through the front door, guests are greeted by the heart of the home - a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. This light-contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday by the sea including oven/hob, large fridge/freezer and microwave. An adjacent dining area seating 6 guests around the farmhouse-style table, provides ample space for families and friends to enjoy a delicious meal together, or for planning the day's adventures over a cup of coffee.
The best days begin and end on the beach. And sometimes the beach ends up on you - the separate utility room with an adjoining shower room is a sandy saviour, for you and your 4-legged friends. Through the utility is the ground floor king bedroom, with patio doors that open up onto the decked garden area. To the right of the front door is the cosy sitting room; lovingly decorated and perfect for a place to relax after a busy day exploring the island!
Upstairs, the property has 2 bedrooms, the master king-bedroom and a twin room, both offering a comfortable and tranquil place to rest. The family bathroom can be found upstairs with a shower over the bath, WC and basin. As well as an office space with stunning views of Culver Down.
Outside, there is an enclosed gravel and decked garden, with multiple seating spots to relax as you chase the last of the evening sun. Your coastal holiday home is made extra special if you enjoy barbequing, the large charcoal BBQ invites you to cook culinary delights finished with local produce from the Deli on the green(200m).
The charming village of St Helens hosts a number of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Tuck into brunch at 33 St. Helens Artisan Deli & Cafe, before setting off for a beautiful dog walk along the local beach, The Duver, a peaceful sand and pebble beach favoured by those looking for a place for a gentle swim, a coastal stroll and a spot of birdwatching. St Helens beach not only offers spectacular sea views, but is home to a watersports centre so you can try your hand at sailing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and windsurfing for the adrenaline seekers.
Venture further and discover the magic of the Isle of Wight. Hike the dramatic cliffs of Culver Down, bike scenic paths, or explore hidden coves waiting to be unearthed. For a touch of history, visit Osborne House. Or try The Garlic Farm for adventurous tastings and local produce.

Property exactly as described, had all anyone could need. We were 4 adults, but plenty of room had we been 6. Nice outside space too.
St Helens is a nice quiet village, has a good pub, coffee shop and convenience store, so no need to use the car everytime.

Very well equipped semi in a great location particularly for walks with the dog. May well return.
Put blinds on corridor windows in twin room upstairs to prevent the light waking the occupant when someone goes along the corridor to the bathroom.
