We very much enjoyed our stay at La Mesa House. It was big enough for our group of six, and sometimes 8. It was clean and stocked. Loved the pool table in the garage.
And a bonus for us was that there is a 240 step walkway, within walking distance from the house, down to the Santa Barbara beach where we watched local surfers on the water and dogs playing on the beach.
To top it off, Eliza and David were great to work with and kept in contact all the way through. Thumbs up to La Mesa House!

The house was clean. The tVs were all working. Never needed the AC. Nice to have a pool table. Beds were comfortable. Great location in Mesa neighborhood.
The backyard was unusable. No backyard maintenance. Missing major kitchen utensils. We had no bowl for salads or colander (who doesn’t eat pasta). No wine glasses (not even stemless). The lighting was very dim in most rooms with almost no light in the dining room. The kitchen was well lit. There is an upstairs apartment that we were not aware of.
So maybe if you are college kids the place would be ok. Perfect for spring breakers.

Great family stay. We like to cook, so would recommend more kitchen equipment - my son tried to bake a cake with icing all from scratch.

The house was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood has everything you need with grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants all within walking distance. Also super close to state street. Highly recommend!

A nice, affordable, closer to the beaches large (8 person) property in Santa Barbara. Lot cheaper than a Marriott courtyard but as good or better. Very responsive host.

Great location adjacent to our event. Well mannered home that accommodated everyone. We enjoyed our stay.

No large skillet, no colander, no measuring spoons or measuring cups, no place to hang your washcloth, hand towel or bath towel. No instructions on how to use TV. No "upon leaving" instructions. Nice house, back yard needs a clean-up and some TLC.

La Mesa House is in a great location to explore and enjoy Santa Barbara. It was clean and comfortable and my family and I, 6 adults, felt right at home on our weekend away together. We will definitely be back again.
