The Mill at New Smyrna was the perfect spot for our girl's weekend. The home is quite large, so if you have a lot of people traveling with you, the space will offer what you need.
PROS- The outside space is AMAZING (which was the selling point for us). The pool is beautiful, complete with waterfall features. The outdoor kitchen has a fridge for you to store your beverages so you do not have to run inside the house when you need a refill =) There is also an outdoor bathroom, which is super convenient when all you want to do is be by the pool. The inside of the home is very spacious. There are multiple places for you to spend time eating or just relaxing. And if you have kids, the kid's room on the first floor is perfect for them. The host has the room stocked with plenty of toys and a really cool bunkbed set up. The bedrooms are very spacious and everything you would need (blankets, pillows and comforters, are provided. The house itself is situated a little ways off of the road, but it is definitely not as secluded as we were expecting. That was actually a positive for us, since it can get really dark at night. The house is also only a 10 minute drive to downtown New Smyrna Beach, which is a really cute beach town with shops, bars and restaurants.
CONS- The biggest disappointment of the weekend for us was that the hot tub and pool lights were broken. We were not made aware of this until we inquired with the host as to turn the hot tub on. That was the only issue though.
