About this cabin rental
Luxury 2 bedroom, self catering holiday accommodation, close to Dartmoor and the market towns of Okehampton, Launceston and Tavistock. A fantastic space with spectacular views of Dartmoor and the family's vineyard.
The Shed is a smart contemporary retreat with quirky country accents, your hideaway to escape from it all. A space to enjoy with friends, family, each other or on your own. Truly serene and tranquil.
A family run bed and breakfast, self catering cottage and luxury lodge, Lobhill Farmhouse, Stable Cottage and The Shed offer a warm welcome, quality accommodation and a relaxed and peaceful stay in a stunning location.
Situated in the Lew Valley this beautiful farmhouse and cottage is perfectly located for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Both the rugged north coast and the gentle south coast are easily accessible and glorious Dartmoor is just three miles away.
For my Bed and Breakfast visitors breakfast is served in the large farmhouse kitchen with a choice of an Aga cooked Full English Breakfast or a lighter option. The majority of ingredients are locally sourced with the eggs being laid just metres away by the hens in the family’s vineyard. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the large garden and relax in the summer house or wander through the woodland, with views of the vineyard and walk further on to the lakeside.
Walkers and nature lovers will find a little bit of heaven on the door step. The 38 acre wood and surrounding farmland with the family's vineyard and Alder lake is wondrously peaceful, a paradise for bird watchers. There are also a number of superb walks on and around Dartmoor and many designated and planned routes locally such as The Two Castles Trail, a 24 mile walk between Okehampton and Launceston Castles.
Lobhill Farmhouse is also close to the Sustrans National Cycling Network, Route 27 also known as the Devon Coast to Coast which includes the converted railway path, the Granite way. About 30 minutes away is the Camel Trail at Padstow, one of the most popular recreational routes in the country, passing through the wooded countryside of the upper Camel Valley and alongside the 3

Our stay was great! When we arrived at this beautiful house the fridge was filled with wine, juice, milk, water.... we got a fruit basket and cereals for breakfast, homemade marmelade and Jane brought us fresh croissants. We even had a washing machine, which was quite helpful! We loved everthing in this house, the interior, the style, the beds... everythink very clean and stylish! We spent 2 weeks in England, travelling around with our 2 kids...this accomodation was by far the best!

Beautiful place with gorgeous views. So peaceful. Lovely walks through the woods to the Winery. Lots of pubs nearby for evening meal, and easy to get to places.

We loved the location, the view, the log burner and the light and airy accommodation decorated and furnished with Jane’s eye for style. We found everything we needed in the kitchenette to cook a Christmas lunch but also enjoyed the food at a local pub.

Peace and quiet, but handy access to main roads and towns not too far distant. Good eateries within a few miles. Great standard of accommodation and facilities.

We stayed in The Shed this year and wow what a place! Very comfy beds, shower was divine and the stunning views from the lounge and kitchen area are beautiful. Everything you need included for a self catering break and we had one of Jane's lovely cooked breakfasts on our last morning. Jane is the perfect host, always makes us feel very welcome. Yet another very enjoyable stay

Jane was so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, we booked to stay in the b&b for the one night with our 2 children the day after our wedding and the rooms were beautiful so tasteful and the fudge in the room was a lovely touch, the children thought they tasted amazing, the views are out of this world, we would 100% return such a fabulous place. I could continue with so much more lovely things about this gorgeous place 😊 Thankyou so much
