We enjoyed staying there and were pleased with our choice.

Walking distance to centre of Keswick and welcome from the owners.

Parking was possible but somewhat difficult in nearby streets and needed looking for.

Friendly B&B - great breakfast!

We had a lovely stay here and especially enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. Lorraine and Simon were so welcoming and friendly and recommended some walks etc in the area. The location is great, just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Keswick.

Perfect stay in Keswick

The owners are so nice and helpful. Their daughter spend ages with us answering questions and giving detailed assistance on the hikes in the area. The breakfast was really good and the cake at the end of the day was the best Victoria sponge I have ever eaten. The location is really nice with the town just a few minutes walk. Easy walks to get to trail heads.

Would definitely recommend Dorchester House, will definitely stay again.

Was one of the best B&B we have stayed in, could not fault anything about are stay. Lorraine and Simon were very welcoming. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from. Great base 5 min walk into the town centre and lots of walks on your doorstep.

We had the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

The breakfast was varied and extremely good. The hosts Lorraine and Simon made our stay special and the unexpected cake provided was far above what we expected.

Although the shower/toilet room was small it wasn’t an issue for us.

We wish we could have stayed longer.

Simon and Lorraine were wonderful, helpful hosts. The room was perfect and so close to everything we needed. Absolutely lovely town, and Dorchester was the perfect place to stay in the Lakes District. Great breakfast too!

Nothing. There was a heat wave when we visited and this was the first place we stayed that offered us a fan (because no one has air conditioning!) Very helpful.

Lovely Place

Lovely front garden. Enjoyed sitting there. Bed was super comfy. Lovely view from the Loo! Breakfast was always enjoyable and great hosts!

Stairs... was only on 1st floor, but the room had a narrow passage and steps inside the room.

Lovely welcoming hosts and beautiful establishment. Would recommend it and hope to stay again one day.

the hosts were very welcoming and the establishment was immaculate. They contacted us prior to arrival regarding food preferences and I told them my husband was vegan. They accommodated his preference so beautifully, there were vegan snacks and milk in our room, plant based options for the breakfast. and when I asked for a mug for my tea on the first day, this was taken note of and was already sitting on our table the second day. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness was amazing and really lovely.

Fantastic hosts, breakfast and property :)

The hosts were lovely and had great tips about walks and local places to go, the property was a great location, parking wasn’t an issue, there were lovely home touches and it was just a great place to relax after long walks! The breakfast was also delicious! Thank you so much for having us :)

The owners were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. We stayed over new year and they gave us mini bottles of Prosecco on hogmany which i thought was a lovely touch. Breakfast was really good as well. Great location, close to centre of Keswick.

Breakfast is between 8.30am and 9am, this was a little early for us as not early risers!

Amazing hosts and clean, comfortable place.

Lorraine and Simon were very warm and welcoming to guests. On top that, the house was very clean and the sheets, linens and towels were gloriously washed. I had terrible experiences with other guest houses in the past so I am very particular with those information I mentioned above. Very basic but so important. I would like to say thank you to both of our hosts for keeping us comfortable during our stay. I highly recommend this accomodation for a plush stay in Keswick. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location, hosts and breakfast!

Dorchester House is in a great location. The hosts, Lorraine and Simon, are a great team. Lorraine is very welcoming, friendly and makes you feel at right at home and Simon makes a great breakfast. There is a good selection with cereals, porridge, fresh fruit pots, full English breakfast, toast, jams with tea and coffee. The place is spotless too. On our return from a day out, there were plates for each room with pieces of Victoria sandwich cake- a lovely touch! Thank you for a great stay - we will be back! .

All rooms are en-suite. The only slight negative was the en- suite to our room was small but we would rather have a small en-suite than a shared bathroom.

A wonderful stay and would definitely return

Superbly located near Keswick centre. Fantastic welcome from the hosts - exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and room was warm and comfortable. Really nice touch to provide cake in the evening!

It was challenging to find street parking close to the property
