Located on the first and second floor, Unit 17 comes outfitted with everything you need to feel like you are in a home away from home. As you enter the unit you are welcomed by a large living room with pull out sofa. The living room has both a bathroom and bedroom off of it. The first bedroom with a king size bed, then opens to the second bedroom with a full size bed. From that bedroom you head down a spiral staircase to the first floor kitchen with private outdoor patio.
The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could need and has a table which can seat six guests. There is also a full size bathroom off of the kitchen. All of Windwards properties are professionally cleaned between guests and come outfitted in high end linens and towels.

We had a great trip with 3 generations. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Great location. Would definitely recommend this unit , but would clarify the layout and the stairs. We were limited in using the entire space bc only access to kitchen and 2nd bath is down on main floor via spiral stairs. So anyone who is older ir has poor balance, this may not work for you.
In addition, wish the living room had a TV . i was not aware that the building was dog friendly and u unfortunately there were dogs in the unit below and across who barked late into the evening. We are dog owners so didn’t mind it too much but others might find that frustrating. Coffee supplies were plentiful and kitchen well stocked. As were the towels and blankets, beds comfy too We had a great time in Newport

I booked the Colony Suite for a getaway for my Mom and me. The suite has a unique setup that we found delightful and comfy. Both of us slept so well! The location is perfect - short walks to everything. Communications were quick, easy, and helpful. Would absolutely stay again!

Very nice and comfortable property. Very clean. The only minor problem was immediately addressed by the host. Great location makes it easy to walk to most places you want to visit in Newport.

Great location for restaurants, shops, and the sights. Comfortable beds and the nice large kitchen is a plus. Please remember this is a 250+ old house. It is creaky
and quirky. You can’t go wrong staying in this piece of history.

This was a great property and perfect location. Our family of five stayed for 3 nights. Great communication with the owners and very clean unit. Location can’t be better. We love Newport and could walk to everything here. Very comfortable accommodations. Thank you.

Stayed at this lovely property for our annual Newport Trip for the Folk Fest. The property was lovely. Note that the second bedroom is a passthrough from the first. This was not an issue for us. The kitchen was very nice and there is a little porch we enjoyed for our morning coffee. Easy walk to downtown made thevpropert very convenient. We would definitely stay here again

Newport really knows how to celebrate Indépendance day! A live reading of the Declaration of Independence and fireworks- this apartment was within 1-3 blocks of it all.

A celebratory trip for my sister and I, we fulfilled a “bucket-list” trip to Newport. We spent 5 days touring mansions, eating great food and experiencing the Annual Newport Flower Show. The accommodations were perfect-just a block away from Bannister Wharf. A parking tag was provided but not always easy to park in the area. We definitely recommend this suite if you are coming to historic Newport. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a covered outdoor space provided.

The Colony Suite was a perfect place for us to stay in Newport. It was clean, well equipped, and tastefully designed. The patio was a bonus, and it added an extra dimension to the house. The location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants, but in a still and quiet neighborhood.

A few friends ran the Newport 10 miler and when looking at ridiculous hotel prices we started looking for air b n b’s. The house had everything we needed including a kitchen to make our breakfast before the early morning run. It was very cute / charming. It was very convenient to walk downtown.

My mother and I have been planning a return trip to Newport for several years. This was the absolute BEST location! Close to everything, we walked everywhere (my Mom is 78), aside from the drvie to the Manions. The location was a short distance to the action, but just far enough that we didnt hear the weekend noise of bands, cars and people. Will ABSOLUTELY stay again when bakc in Newport!

One block from the heart of town, restaurants, and fabulous shops. Off street parking. Beautifully updated historical property. We had a few minor concerns and they were promptly addressed (literally within minutes)! Could not have asked for a more perfect experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Howland House! The close proximity to all the action was a huge plus, but the home itself was adorable! We hope to come back!

We stayed for Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful and relaxing time. The checkin was so easy and the place was absolutely spotless. It was more spacious than what it appeared in the pictures and the kitchen is well stocked. Our 2 teenage kids loved that that they each had their own space. Not recommended for younger children due to multiple steps and spiral staircase to the kitchen. Other than that, highly recommend this spot. Easy walk to Thames St with all the dining, Easton Beach and the Cliff walk. The street parking pass was a huge help.

The place had all we needed. It was close to everything we wanted to be near (i.e., shops, restaurants) and within walking distance. Also, the parking pass was extremely useful whenever the two spots were taken. Definitely recommend and would stay again!
