About this apartment rental
This ground floor apartment is in a wonderful position, just across the road from the sea and sandy beach with its string of beach huts and fun filled Pier.
You’re welcomed into a porch where you can sit with your morning coffee whilst watching the sun rise over the ocean. A spacious living/kitchen/dining room is at the heart of the holiday home with the bedrooms on either side of it, both with king size beds and en-suites which gives a good degree of privacy.
ENTRANCE
8 The Craighurst is at the side of this building with private entrance, a ramp and a step up to the porch door. There’s a wide opening into the reception space with doors to bedrooms on either side. Hard flooring runs throughout, and the doors are slightly wider than standard, giving access for wheelchairs. There is, however, a step up to the standard sized shower cubicle so disabled access is limited.
LIVING/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
A well-designed space for catering and socialising with friends and family!
Kitchen units sit in one corner housing an electric oven, two ring hob, an under-counter fridge with an ice compartment, a slimline dishwasher, a microwave, kettle and toaster.
There’s a dining table with a couple of chairs and a wonderful mix of retro furnishings including a dresser stacked with crockery, cutlery and glassware for your use; a sofa, couple of chairs and coffee table; a TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs for you to choose from in a 2nd dresser; and a coat/hat stand conveniently waiting for you by the door.
MAIN BEDROOM
Enjoy the sea view through the sash windows in this big double bedroom which has a king-sized bed with bedside cabinets on either side of it and storage in a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
The corner shower cubicle had a hand-held shower head and there’s a WC, a wash basin, and a heated towel rail.
SECOND BEDROOM
There’s ample space to unpack and settle into this bedroom which has a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet.
SHOWER ROOM
A compact en-suite where the shower cubicle has both a rain shower and a hand-held wand; and there’s a WC, a wash basin, natural light and a heated towel rail (towels will be provided).
OUTSIDE
There’s no allocated parking at the apartment but you can generally park outside on Dunwich Road, in one of the other side streets or a public car park at the pier or Godyll Road. The holiday home is just a stone’s throw from the beach across North Parade where you can take a stroll, gaze out to sea, or wander along the iconic pier – great for guests of any age with its amusement arcade, shops and eateries. The town’s individual shops, cafes, delis and restaurants are all on hand too. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.
The apartment also has also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only).

Really loved the apartment- nicer in person than the pics online. Perfect location - right next to the beach and in town -quiet street with on street parking. Very clean and good size rooms. Would definitely book again.

The property has a good layout and would suit two couples as each bedroon has its own ensuite shower room. It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We found it quite dark with not much lateral light but overall we enjoyed our stay and could always get parking on the road outside.
