Hotel went above and beyond on providing information before arrival about checkin , amenities, area, etc.
We were surprised how small the room was ( think inside cruise cabin) but was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was available and the rooftop igloos, with heaters, was a surprising treat just to hang out for awhile. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We had a great stay in Manhattan at Little Charlie hotel! Anthony at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating. The location is great, within walking distance to Grand Central Station, Empire State Building and Bryant Park. We had a room with two queen beds and although the room was small everything was efficiently laid out so there was enough room for the 4 of us. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the continental breakfast was a good start to our mornings. For short trips this is a great choice!

The room was only big enough for a queen size bed. For what it was, the room was clean and kept well. But seriously, there was a queen sized bed, maybe a two foot space to walk, a tv, a very small storage space, a tight toilet and a small standup shower. I expect small rooms in NY, but this was literally a large closet… but if you’re traveling alone… maybe it works for you?!

This was a sweet, comfortable hotel, and affordable. The neigborhood was grand. The common space on the first floor and on the roof were lovely. The double room was very small- as advertised. The room is as wide as the double bed, with a small landing on either side- so you need to climb into the bed from the foot of the bed. For us that was just fine- but it was a little unsettling not to have a window. I just didn't consider it. I guess there WAS a window- but more like an opening into a small crawlspace between rooms. Just be prepared for that in the double room- some of the rooms certainly have windows to the world. Friendly helpful staff.

Nice Boutique hotel in mid Manhattan. Close to nice restaurants and stores and markets. Room was very small but clean and comfortable for our two night stay. A bit noisy (r.302) since it faces a main road (2nd) Everything was very well appointed and the continental breakfast was just perfect for a quick bite before sight seeing. I would definitely go again. I would not recommend this hotel for older couples who might have trouble getting in and out of the bed but for us it was just fine.

It was an amazing experience. We had good treatment, the room was really good with hair drier, freezer, vaporize for clothes and the rooftop was awesome, more with the happy hour. The breakfast was really delicious.

Very small room, but overall very clean and modern. They have a lot of high tech amenities that are nice. The bathroom is tiny and it's a very small sink. The bed was also a little lumpy (doesn't seem like they flip the mattress ever and it's the only place to sit in the room so one side is very sunken). The service was excellent though!

Nice clean, comfortable, and convenient to the city. We would definitely recommend the Little Charlie hotel to others. The only drawback was a group of young people who were very loud on our floor.

We could check in earlier. The staff is very friendly. A nice room with breakfast and a great rooftop! The only issue is that a room to 2nd Ave is very noisy.

Fantastic new boutique hotel near Grand Central. I booked the smallest room yet it was more than big enough for a two-night stay with loads of storage space. Samsung Smart TV, cloud soft, cozy beds, excellent WiFi, Continental breakfast and a Thursday night Happy Hour. Will be back soon.

Exceptional new boutique hotel. Spacious rooms with cloud soft beds. Friendly and extremely helpful front desk staff. Rooms facing Second Avenue can be noisy but there's a noise machine and earplugs if needed. Will stay here again soon.

Room was clean and well/equipped. Bed was super comfortable. Continental breakfast was scrumptious. I asked for early check/in, which I received upon arrival.

Nice, clean hotel. Nice lobby, clean bathroom with hot water. The only downside is that the rooms are very, very small. There are walls on both sides of the bed. You must exit the bed by climbing down to the bottom of the bed. The bed is comfortable however. I would stay there again though.

Little Charlie was a great hotel to stay near the upper east side but still have great access to midtown and a brief walk to grand central station for great connections all over the city. The room was fine, a little small and would have liked more storage than just under the bed but it’s New York so didn’t expect it to be huge or even regular sized! It was noisy (again, New York so expected, bring heavy duty ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper) , we were on the 2nd floor and because of the scaffolding outside we didn’t have a great view. They stored our bags for us both pre and post check in and out which was appreciated. Overall, would stay again!

Me and my daughter really enjoyed our stay at Little Charlie Hotel. It was clean, the personal was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfy, and although the room was small it was practical and had everything we needed. There was noise from 2nd Ave but we did not mind, there was ear plugs on the bedside table😊

We had a Saturday getaway here, and as New Yorkers, we know how hard it is to find a $200-$300 hotel in Manhattan in September when most places are $500 and up.
Pros:
• Midtown East Location: Safe and convenient. While some may find the space small, for those of us who grew up in Manhattan, it’s just right. There’s even a couple of cubic meters for a bit of play or lounging. For a small hotel, they’ve put in great effort with the design—hooks all along one wall, room for luggage under the bed, and a compact yet fully equipped bathroom. For a little over $200, it’s worth it.
• Service: Although you can opt for a completely contactless check-in, the young man at the front desk is helpful when needed. He may not be overly chatty but gets the job done.
• Amenities: The TV is connected to YouTube, so entertaining the kids is easy—no need for complaints. The bed is high, so families with young kids should be cautious, but it’s perfect for cozying up to watch documentaries. The room also has a sleep sound machine, ensuring a good night’s rest. And the breakfast? Truly praiseworthy—the bread is delicious and deserves a 5-star rating.
Cons:
• The rooftop is a bit disappointing. The hotel’s highlight, the Bubble Room, doesn’t quite meet expectations—out of five lights, three were out of batteries, so it fails to create that romantic atmosphere. The furniture is basic Ikea quality, which feels a bit rough and lacks aesthetic appeal, with some edges you need to be careful around.

We had a great time staying at Little Charlie Hotel, the room was small but tidy and beds were really comfortable. Extra plus for a cozy rooftop area.

As we would be arriving after the front desk closed i attemtrd to contact the property beforehand for late check in instructions. I called several times and emailed twice. No response. I contacted hotels.com and they also tried to reach someone at the property but also without luck. So i was nervous we would not be able to get in. That is frustrating when travelling. Jowever shortly before check in i got instructions, which i emded ip kot needing as there was a guy workimg at the front desk when we arrived.
The room is way too small for my liking, but i new it was going to be. Just be aware that there is virtually no room to move around.
Check out time is 11am and at 10:58am the guy that works at the front desk was knocking on our door asking us when we were going to leave. Never had that happen in my life, i thought it was ridiculous.
They offer complimentary water which was nice. Location was good. Thats all.

Great option for anyone on a budget who needs a clean place to sleep and shower. The free breakfast pastries are delicious, the bed is comfortable, and the customer service is top notch. I would happily stay here again. The room is very small but it has all you need.

Location good but look at the size before you book.
Continental breakfast was danish coffe tea and apples. Adequate i guess to help you get moving.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August and were very pleased. We had one of the smaller rooms and there’s not much floor space around the bed so it may not work for everyone, but was fine for the 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a safe and mini fridge for convenience, and the bathroom was nice. The one issue we had was with the solar-powered remote control for the TV. Hotel staffers tried to help us with the remote on day 1 and seemed to get it working, but the next day we couldn’t get it to change channels or adjust volume. I don’t think solar-powered remotes are ideal—even keeping it in the sun on the window ledge all day to charge didn’t help. That said, we were on vacation and watching TV wasn’t a priority, so it really wasn’t a big deal.
The continental breakfast available in the lobby was fine but pretty much the same thing each day we were there. It would be preferred if they’d switch it up and maybe include bagels or something different from the pastries and muffins they offered. Thursday’s rooftop happy hour was a fun treat. The view from up there is lovely, and we sat inside the clear dome!
Overall the hotel location was great for us. We were able to walk to many places or easily get to public transportation, and there are lots of venues, stores and restaurants close by. All the hotel staff that we met were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Little Charlie Hotel and would like to stay there again!
