About this cottage rental
The LODGE joins our two other properties on VRBO! It has been lovingly restored/updated that complements The Guest Cottage (2 people) and Farmhouse (6 people). Featherstone is located on very private/safe 4 acre compound so there is plenty of room to play outdoors and is just 2 miles beautiful downtown Hendersonville and grocery stories. The layout of the Lodge property is private with 1 acre for kids and your dog. It has 2 bedrooms- king and queen and a bunk room and full 2 bathrooms.
Cleaning Pledge-Our cleaning team (Rosa and her crew) have done a terrific job over the years (15) keeping the places spotless. Guest frequently commit on how clean our properties in their reviews.
DOGS-We do allow will behaved dogs, however you must notify us advance you would like to bring a pet and request our PET RULES. We do not allow pit bulls. Sorry, no cats.
Also: couches are not beds, please consider this when making reservation.

This has to be one of the most beautiful properties we have rented. Chad was wonderful and Izzy (the lab mascot) was so sweet. Without a doubt, we will be back again. Thanks so much!

This was the 1st time we have been away from our home in Florida for this length of time and honestly, we were so comfortable in our "new" surroundings that we really didn't even think about missing anything back home at all - especially the excruciating summer heat! Chad was a great host and having him on site was such a plus for "first-timers" like us! Our Goldendoodle, Gracie, had the best time of all - chasing squirrels everyday in the huge front yard that is fenced in on 3 sides!! The location couldn't have been more perfect to venture out and drive to nearby destination day trips and activities. It truly was a wonderfully peaceful respite from our daily lives which we sorely needed! Hendersonville, or as the locals say, "Hendo", is a charming town with great restaurant options and lovely shops...we truly had a magical stay!!

We are a return visitor to Featherstone as we find it a perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas for a few days while picking up or dropping off our kids at summer camp. Downtown Hendersonville, good restaurants, grocery stores, parks, etc. are very accessible from this location. We enjoy bringing our dog along as the communities are very dog-friendly and there are so many hikes (including lots of waterfalls!) to explore. As for the Lodge itself, it had everything we needed to ensure we, our kids, and our poodle were comfortable during our stay. This included solid internet connectivity for 2 people to work remotely without any issues. Thanks to Chad for taking such great care for this property so others can have a relaxing and enjoyable time in the Hendersonville area.

This was just the right property for our 3 person family plus our dog. This was the first time we ever took the dog on a trip and the owners are very clear about basic guidelines which are more than fair. We met the owner who was doing his grass mowing routine on the beautiful property. We had an excellent time and the owners really really want you to have a great stay as they outline food and tourist suggestions for you. Every single nook and cranny of the house was well thought out with charming decorative aspects of the owners and the surrounding area. We just felt more than obliged to treat this house like our own and leave it clean and ready for the next lucky tenants. We are fairly confident in saying we will be coming back for another stay again.

You will love this cabin! Don’t look further for a more quaint and clean, wonderfully updated turn-of-the-century mountain cabin. Gorgeous! Pet lovers delight. Couples or families will love it. Book it and enjoy!

Exceptionally clean and well run. Lovely setting, quite cozy and comfortable. So close to downtown Hendersonville and all amenities. The owner is on site and v hospitable. Will look to book again.

Chad was an amazing host. The house was very clean and fully stocked with all the kitchen utensils. He was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to whenever he was outside. My family felt very safe and his recommendations were spot on. We will definitely be booking at Featherstone again!

The home was very comfortable. It had a lot of character to it, was very clean, and had all the accommodations we needed. The huge yard and the fire pit were two of our favorite parts. My kids also really liked the tree swing. The beds were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The fireplace in the living room was extremely cozy and loved by all who stayed. Being close to downtown, hiking trails, and also to grocery stores was a big plus for us. Everybody in our party had the most relaxing and wonderful stay. ☺️

The Lodge was tucked away on a peaceful , very quiet property. The Lodge was immaculately clean and has a very fresh smell. It is beautifully decorated and absolutely charming. The beds were very comfortable with soft linens as well. We had great sleep while we were there! Thank you Chad and Lizzy the Black dog for sharing your place with us. We had a wonderful girl trip!

We found the Featherstone Lodge home to be charming and ultra clean. We enjoyed it's convenient location. The carport was a plus for us.
The screen porch though lost its charm from the picture posted.
The accommodations are perfect for an extended stay - just be sure to have some laundry soap.

Our stay at Featherstone lodge was wonderful! Everything was just as advertised and more. It is located close to everything we needed from hiking, shopping, dining and just listening to the birds from the porch. Chad was always available whenever we needed him and he went above and beyond on more than one occasion. Izzy, his dog, made several visits to sit on our porch. For us it was perfection. It gave us a much needed escape from the FL heat where we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Hope to stay here again.

We've stayed at the Lodge multiple times and intend to come back in the future. The 2nd bathroom was recently upgraded and it looked fantastic. The Lodge has everything we need for ourselves and our 2 kids as well as our dog. The location is close to some of our favorite spots including downtown Hendersonville, Dupont State Park, and Flat Rock.

We selected this cottage because it was located close to Kanuga Conference Center and downtown Hendersonville. Private Cove Lane is easy to miss and the property has multiple rental options, but once you find it, you will love the privacy and convenience of the location.
The cottage was incredibly clean with everything we wanted. We cooked breakfast and dinner multiple nights and found all of the kitchen utensils, bowls, pots and pans that we would need and as coffee enthusiasts, we loved that he offered French Press, Drip and Keurig options. This cottage also has a carport which provided cover for our car and bicycles. Our host, Chad, could not have been nicer. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband, son, and dog really enjoyed the Lodge stay. It is a charming home, very clean, and stocked with everything you could need to cook and stay for several days. We loved the cozy nooks and lights through out the house. The bedroom set up was perfect and son loved the bunk beds! The porch was so nice to sit on and listen to the rain and the firepit and yard so fun! We plan to come back and stay again! Thank you Chad for a lovely home to visit and for all the clean and lovely amenties!

Featherstone is one of our favorite places we have visited. The location is very close to town and and is easy access from the main road. The house is exactly as described and even better. The owner, Chad, is onsite and was so helpful and accommodating. The special touches in the house were so interesting and you could tell that this was a very well-cared for home away from home. We enjoyed watching the many birds that came to the feeder that Chad kept filled while we were there. The house is very light and lots of windows to enjoy the views. Izzy, the resident canine greeter was such a joy. She is a very friendly, well-behaved dog who obviously adores her Dad. Would recommend this destination to anyone looking to be in the Hendersonville area. Short drive to many attractions in the area. Kudos to Chad for such an enjoyable vacay.

This was our second time staying at the Lodge at Featherstone and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Chad has put a lot of thought into the little comforts of a rental home. The location feels remote but is only a short drive into town.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay here and I can’t even think of enough positive words to describe it! It is absolutely perfect in every way. We almost always book accommodations through VRBO and this was by far one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed in. I ALWAYS rely on reviews before booking and the reviews I read were absolutely accurate. I can’t think of one single thing that this house lacks. Chad is extremely nice and easy to work with. We will be back!!

Tranquility
We enjoyed this beautiful cabin and what the surrounding area had to offer. It was quiet a great place to chill after a day of golf or hiking. We have rented through VRBO many times and this property is 5 star. We enjoy most sitting on the porch and taking in the peaceful setting.

Couldn't have had a better stay
We loved this cottage, which was a good thing, because we were there for an extended stay. Our host Chad was incredibly responsive when we had questions and offered help when we needed it. Everything was clean, well maintained and the location was perfect to get to downtown Hendersonville, Flat Rock or a slightly longer trip to Asheville. If you have a pet they will love it as well. Enjoy!

Just Incredible
I can not write enough to explain how amazing this cabin was and rating this a 5 star is not high enough.
The cabin was conveniently located near everything. It was such an incredible layout and very clean.
When Chad, property manager, describes the cabin as equipped with everything, that is exactly what it is. From the decor, which is well thought out, to everything else you may think you need, he has thought of it and is available for you. Once your bags are unpacked, it then feels like it is your house and just comfortable.
He does live in one of the houses located on the property and is readily available if needed.
We will stay here again. So cozy and just an amazing experience.

Favourite rental house ever
This was the most amazing rental house. Chad had everything you could ever need - nothing was missing (and we stayed here for almost 2 weeks!). The design of the house was amazing (made you want to build your own place like this 😊) - several places to relax inside and out including an outdoor fire pit with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Cozy area with gas fireplace. Very welcoming. And overall just beautiful!

This property was sparkling clean, and it was so tastefully decorated with every attention to details. Mr. Smith was always available for us during our stay. We'll be back here for our next trip to Asheville.
