Private and cozy with plenty of space. Well appointed with nice furnishings. The hot tub on the back deck was amazing. Master bed was too soft for our liking. Property manager was responsive and kind.

This wonderful casita sits in a quiet area with easy access to main travel routes and "downtown" Taos. The house holds many unique artistic touches, and the view of Pueblo Peak from the hot tub is marvelous. While the home is charming, the master bedroom mattress is decrepit and in desperate need of replacement.

Thanks for making our trip great!

We just recently spent the last two weeks of July in this property. We thoroughly enjoyed the location that was less than 2 miles from downtown and less than a mile to the national forest for some great hiking trails. We ended up having all of our meals at the Adobe because it was so convenient to cook in the kitchen and so relaxing. There is a very big patio and the washer and dryer were absolutely fantastic! You really do need to book some thing with air conditioning in Taos. The two weeks we were there every day it was over 90°, so it was so nice to have the mini split that cooled the den kitchen and dining area plus bathroom. You need to leave the door open to the bedroom and the ceiling fans will help draw air into it. Everything has been very well thought out of what a guest must have. We enjoyed the smart TV and the extra bedroom to put luggage, etc. besides the air conditioning one of our top priorities we want a great kitchen, grill, patibig bathroom and a place for our dog. This unit has it all. The fenced in yard is so nice so you can sit out on the patio when it does cool down in the evening.
Wendy, the property manager was unbelievable. She answered all of my questions prior to it as even arriving and then she responded to text so quickly while we were there at the property and had questions pop up. We really felt like we were the only people she was responsible for., great suggestions on restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend the smiths grocery store.

The house lived up to it's name. We enjoyed the decor and ambiance. It was comfortable and had all of the necessities for an enjoyable stay. The hot tub was a special bonus. It was great!!! A very relaxing way to end a day of hiking.

The house was very charming and cozy, we enjoyed the backyard and hot tub. The mattress may need to be replaced, it was not very supportive, in my opinion.
Great location, quiet neighborhood and the gas fireplaces heated the house nicely.

Our family rented both the main house and the small detached "Casita" on the same property. The house was exactly as described online and was very nicely furnished and most essentials were provided. The back patio had a grill and hot tub, which was also very nice. The small Casita was also quaint and also exactly as described online. The location was wonderful--close to town but still had a nice mountain view in backyard. Overall things were great, but we felt there were a few minor issues that need improvement. Due to the type of septic system they have, there were strict instructions on the type of soap, toilet paper that should be used. We understood and respected that (I've lived with a septic system myself) but you need to bring your own soap (NOT anti-bacterial) because the small silver-dollar sized thin disks of soap they provided break easily, left a slimy film on the sink and were terrible for bathing! The kitchen only had one or two dish/hand towels, and when staying for several days and cooking, that's simply not enough. The bathroom in the main house had a heated floor, which was nice, but the room itself was cold. The same was true in the Casita--there were not enough hand towels, the soap was terrible and the bathroom was extremely cold--and what we thought was a ceiling heater turned out to be an exhaust fan. Also be aware that the "full" bed is really not made for two people and the duvet was cumbersome and heavy and the pillows were terrible--bring your own! The Casita also needs a porch light for security at night (you have to step over rocks to get to the door. Another disappointment was that when you're staying over the Christmas Holidays, it would be nice to have a few Christmas decorations in the house just to be able to fully enjoy the Christmas season, but no decorations were provided so we had to pack and bring a few of our own--which seemed ridiculous! It wasn't a huge issue, but we were also asked to remove our sheets and put them in the washer--supposedly for health issues--but we were charged for cleaning services and if they are worried about health issues perhaps they should supply their cleaning staff with a mask and gloves. These things probably wouldn't be an issue at all if staying we were staying for just a couple of nights, but when staying for 5 nights, they become an issue. Little things can make a big difference!

Casitas Encantadas exceeded our expectations. For our family it was the perfect in town retreat, convenient while also feeling very secluded. Rustic aesthetic, yet very well appointed and nicely maintained. We were thrilled to stay there!

Property very attractive and clean.

This is an eclectic old Mexican casita that has been semi remodeled, but still retains the Mexican charm. The a/c is only in the den and there are multiple fans in the rest of the home. The furniture and decor was a unique mix, but we really enjoyed it and fit the house.
Cons:
The lighting in the updated bath is very dim and you have to shower in almost complete darkness.
The rug in the bedroom belongs outside to remove mud from your shoes. It is rough and hurts your feet to walk on it.
Not for the mobility challenged. There are multiple levels of floors due to remodeling and there are stairs to the bathroom.
Pros: Off-street parking is great.
The house was clean and quiet (barking dogs at times)
Comfy bed with plenty of extra linens
Great WiFi and TV programming
The patio is very large and is covered with a nice pergola and has a huge yard that was perfect for our dog.
Thanks to our property manager, Wendy, for her quick response to a couple of issues.
