Friendly, playful staff.
The pool got too hot by mid day, and wasn't very clean.

Just a little food ☹️ and night entertainment was not satisfying anyway I will give 9/10

Smaller resort and serin which I loved! Very clean and great, friendly staff.
Food at Mexican restaurant!
Awful! Couldn't eat a bite!
All other restaurants were very good!

very clean room and comfy bed!!!
food and drinks was just okay-ish…
I went to the spa for a manicure but the lady seemed like she did not know what she was doing. She couldn’t remove the gels because she didn’t have proper tools. She was going to apply nail polish on top of my shellac…

Great staff. Super helpful and friendly. Beautiful location. Gorgeous beach and pool area. Definitely worth the upgrade to get privileged status. Food at BLoved was my favorite. Abelita was a close second.
Our double bed room wasn't available as reserved, but another deluxe king-size room was - good thing we're close friends.
Not as many vegan options as we were told there would be. Most dinner items have dairy. Sometimes even items that said they didn't have dairy came out with cheese on top.
People are super rude with towels holding chairs poolside for hours and hours without being there to use them. They should have a time limit for non-use.

the beach is stunning, hotel is based closer to jungle with nice vibe
food - majority of the time totally tasteless. restaurants serve really not good food, even tradish Mexican was a distasteful :( Only breakfasts were fine with lots of choice to take.

The location is great, amazing beach, super kind and nice staff people. The facilities are clean and big.
The food was not great. You had to do reservations for dinner therefore expectations were high.

location is exceptional
good isn’t great, cleanliness isn’t great either (room smells like humidity, pillows smelt like humidity)

We stayed on the Privileged and had complimentary room service, a romantic dinner and full access to hydrotherapy circuit at the spa, plus complimentary massages.
The Xpu-Ha beach is beautiful and relatively unscathed from overdevelopment.
Arrangements can be done through the online platform (e.g., dinner reservations, room service, etc.) rather than to message a concierge or going to the reception at every time.
Privileged guests have a special restaurant called B-Loved but it takes a lot of time (sometimes 1 hour) to have the food served.
The beach section for Privileged is small and gets crowded because there is no control about how many spaces people can take without using them.
The sargassum season started a bit earlier than expected. With some barriers at sea or harvesting ships, the impact of the sargassum could be reduced.

Amazing beach, comfort, nice staff, beautiful garden with animals.
Healthy and delicious juices on the beach.

Staff at resort are very friendly and helpful. Spa massage was great. Pool activities are fun. The buffet food was by far the best food they have. The beach views and setting are amazing, definitely our favorite part. This hotel was the cheaper option in the area, but if you want amazing food 3 meals a day, don’t stay here. The tapas restaurant and restaurant with the shows are the two best restaurants they have.
The restaurants (for dinner), room service, and pool food was not great. You definitely get what you pay for with the price of all inclusive. If you want amazing food, don’t stay here. We had asked for rooms with 2 queen beds and they were unable to fill that request. They handed us a written survey to fill out during dinner - perhaps do an online one and don’t bother people while they’re eating.

We had an issue when we got there, they did not have the room we have booked. We booked a Privieleged room with two beds and when we got there they told us they don't have two beds we went through a lot finally they gave us a room and gave us a discount, and changed our room the next day but it was a challenge to get our room.
After a long trip the last thing anyone needs to argue with check-in staff. :(
The older rooms are old and they smell like mildew but the new section at the Privieleged rooms were nice and clean worth to spend the extra $.
They also told us they did not get the message from booking and we should have message them directly how are we suppose to know that?
It's a smaller resort with outstanding beach and clean rooms and facilities.
This is our second time and the breakfast and lunch was very good but dinner they have no more open buffet so it was OK
Overall once you get through the hassle at the check-in the hotel is nice clean and the beach is awesome.
If you want to send a message to the hotel message them directly, they claimed they did not get my message I sent to them via booking?
Getting the room we originally booked from booking was a challenge and one day late. We had to go through a lot of headache and attitude to get what we have booked.
They can do open buffet for breakfast and lunch but at night you have to have reservation to dine. It's a all inclusive resort makes no sense ? I think they should bring back the open buffet for dinner.
But overall it's good

The beach is absolutely beautiful and all the staff are very nice and friendly.
The food is absolutely terrible, the worst I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. The sun loungers at the pool and beach were uncomfortable and dirty. The pool was outdated and not particularly nice. There’s no comfortable outdoor lounge area to sit and relax in the evening.

Almost everything : location, facilities, vibe, beach
Some waiters do not speak english at all. There was a lot of confusion, especially in the restaurant near the pool. They forget what you ask for, it seems they are beginners. They brought us wrong orders, they forgot about the drinks, etc. It was better to simply get our own drinks from the bar. Hope this will get better in the future.

We the location. The resort is along a bay with wonderful clear water that at times had gentle rolling waves and other times had bigger waves suitable for body surfing. The sand was soft, which was important when we played beach volleyball for hours. The resort also does a good job preserving the jungle between the highway and the beach, giving a habitat to iguanas, coatis, and agoutis, as well as other animals.

We stayed Fromm Dec 2-6 2022. Most of the employees were great, very kind and willing to make your stay great. The beach is wonderful and entertainment was awesome. Restaurant were mostly outstanding.
We stayed in the Privileged rooms that were pretty good. We likely will comeback but is important to note that they will try to sell you a Catalonia membership that was the only stain in our visit (see below)
The two people trying to sell us the Catalonia Membership were rude. They promise that the sales pitch won't include pressure to buy. However, at he moment that we decline to buy they start to pressure and then got mad and rude when we said not to the buying. (Mauricio and I guess the sales manager-he gave us the cost of the membership)

manglar and nature
they were refurbishing the big restaurant by the pool and beach so we had a constant loud drilling sound all day! not relaxing at all.

Beautiful resort with excellent food, conveniently located bars, and a relaxed vibe.
There were a few things broken in our room that had to be fixed, such as the mini fridge and a light.

Food, rooms, shows, pool, beach, etc..
At the counter once we did the check in, the lady didn't tell us about beach towels that are in the room. We went to the beach/pool and there were no towels for us. after, we saw boys (around 19 years old) drunk and spilling their drinks in the pool meanwhile we were not allowed to have a burger on our sunbeds... that was our first day.
9.0
The beach was clean and sandy and inviting. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, clean every day. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff from all aspects is what makes Catalonia worth coming back for. They really care about their guests experience.
Adelita's food service was sub-par and slow. The evening activities seemed centered around the pool and the Cat's disco is no longer open so nightlife was something to be desired. We had been at the pool or beach all day and certainly didn't want to get back in the pool after dinner.
9.0
The property is right on the beach. The beach is well maintained and it also has a beautiful pool.
The rooms are air conditioned and well appointed.
It was an hour and a half shuttle ride from the airport in Cancun.
