The cottages are delightful, spacious, and overlook the river. They are roomy and have a well-equipped outdoor barbecue. Breakfast is included and abundant (being gluten intolerant, I couldn't eat many things unfortunately). The staff is friendly.
The furniture is a bit old-fashioned, but it fits very well with the cottage's style! I would recommend greater attention to environmental aspects such as waste sorting and the elimination of single-use toiletries.

On the St Lawrence Owner came and solved my tv remote problem and gave me menu for recommended restaurant Breakfast was really good
Beds a little soggy

I had signed up for a cheaper rate but asked to face the water. Got moved a more expensive unit, but didn’t say anything as I assumed we’d been moved to the bottom row, 7-12. Was very disappointed to be in the middle with partial view. I would have preferred you to contact me with the options rather than just move us. Otherwise, we are always very pleased with the facility and your helpfulness and flexibility.

Beautiful location. Cottage was.properly furnished with the essential needs and nicely themed. Barbecue and patio furniture were prepped and ready. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped. Staff were friendly and efficient. All we could have asked for.

Great location; quiet
Room picked up constant noises throughout the night from adjacent room. Window was nailed shut; no fresh ventilation. Not sure if breakfast was included in price. There were no instructions. Checkin was impersonal as no staff on premises

Room was excellent and met our requirements, breakfast was very Good and the staff too!
A kettle would have been useful.

Clean and spacious. The deck and the patio. The breakfast was amazing.
Only the mosquitoes, but i think there isn’t much the property can do about it.

It is a gem of a spot on the water with amazing decks, gardens and spectacular views, breakfast offered hot and cold options and with fresh baked goods. Everything was spotless both accommodation and breakfast room. And the price point was spot on!
There was nothing I didn’t like. If I were going to offer a suggestion, as this is an amazingly well kept dated property, the next upgrade could be to the linens, although perfectly comfortable, but a dated look with the blanket and pattern coloured bed throw. And maybe a higher thread count sheet. But like I said, just a suggestion for future upgrades. We were perfectly comfortable.

Location on the St. Lawrence River, beautiful gardens, walkways and roomy accommodation with comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful.

Location, vue, cleanliness, hospitality, beautiful garden.
Nothing.

The gardens, the beautiful seating on the patios, the location, excellent view of the St. Lawrence River, friendly and helpful staff, everything was clean.
Dated rooms, toilet didn’t flush well, breakfast wasn’t great…okay, but could have been much better for the price we paid for the room. A lot of mosquitoes which made it hard to enjoy the beautiful evenings outdoors in the gardens.

The staff were fabulous and very helpful. Breakfast was included which was great. It was really good - it is not a sit-down restaurant but we could get our food and take it to our rooms or sit outside because there are so many tables and chairs outside. The location is excellent- and the landscaping is beautiful. We could sit down by the St Lawrence River and had a fabulous view. There were many tables and chairs there. The location has rooms and also cabins with kitchens and more space. Next time we will stay for longer and stay in a cabin.
It would have been helpful if we had a listing of places in Prescott where we could go for dinner, and things we could do close by. There were more restaurants than we thought there would be. One of the staff members recommended the Bridgeview Dockside Restaurant and Patio which we really liked- and they had a great view of the river. We brought our bikes and we know that this area promotes cycling tourism - it would have been helpful to have something to show us cycling routes close by. ( eg the Brock trail in Brockville and the Thousand Islands Trail )

Beautiful flower gardens and on the St Lawrence river. Gorgeous view!
The rooms were small but the view and the breakfast made up for it.

very easy check in. We came in later evening and there was a board that had my first name on it and my room #. Go to room and key was there. breakfast in the morning was nice. toast, muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, cereal and some fruit.
mattress was bit hard but everything was clean.

the gardens were extraordinary - a true labor of love.
the balconies and seating areas looking over the River were delightful.
the available grills made it simple to prepare a lovely little dinner on site.
nothing
but I recommend considering attracting some hummingbirds with a few feeders.

This was our 2nd stay at Dewar’s. A real hidden gem. Very clean. Well appointed room. Beautiful grounds and lovely decks on the St Lawrence Seaway. Breakfast is included. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
There is nothing we didn’t like. A great place to stay. Wish we had booked longer.

Breakfast was selfserve, then take your tray to your room, where there is a table, chairs, and small kitchen area, also a table and chairs outside, with a lovely view of the garden and the st.Lawrence river.
The room was a bit cramped, but adequate.

Very clean, comfortable, and quiet (stayed one night in March). A fire place was cozy, bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Although the breakfast room was closed due to covid, they provided a breakfast package in the fridge.

Floor very cold.

location/ view
Have stayed there several times over the years. We always enjoyed our stay - accommodations and great breakfast. We are very disappointed after our most recent booking. They admittedly have cut back since COVID. Breakfast was brutal and was waiting in out room when we checked in. Electrical plugs didn’t work. Parking lot was covered in ice and very slippery. Seems like things are being neglected and they are using Covid as the excuse

Met expectations - very clean. Well located for our visit and good value.
Minor gripe - the bathroom fittings need minor maintenance.

Our first night on an 18 day roadtrip, this place is a little gem with a wonderful view over the St Lawrence River. It was great value for money, and super easy contactless check-in. The room was comfortable and the breakfast provided was tasty and just what we needed for another long drive east the next morning.
No complaints!
