The hotel is clean although it took us a visit to the front desk to figure out how to turn on the heat. The beds are clean and comfortable. All of the staff was very personable, and the hotel is highway accessible next to several food outlets and service stations so this is were we stay in Valleyview.
The breakfast was good value but the meal did not meet expectations. There were 2 people in the restaurant yet our eggs arrived cold. That put us off enough that we ate elsewhere for the next 2 days. TV reception and Wi-Fi were dodgy at best.

Great location and view from the room.
We were stuck in a smoking room and the smell was awful. Beds and pillows are hard. There was no breakfast.

it was clean, staff were nice and helpful
parking lot you have to walk around a metal pole carrying luggage, large semis parked in the front lot, there is a truck lot in the back. Restaurant was closed due to staff shortage. Tv was horrible, small and a weird colour. The picture was yellow and hard to see

The day staff and head housekeeper were exceptional. The beds were quite comfortable and the King Suite was suitable for our purpose.
My three children and I were put into a smoking room. When I called a week previous to confirm our booking, I asked to change this and was told it was no problem, I would be able to change it upon arrival. When I arrived, no non-smoking rooms were available. We were sent up with a spray bottle of air freshener.
There was no remote for our TV. After several trips downstairs, we finally got one that worked out of the 6 they sent us with - with instructions to return whichever ones did not work. The remote worked, the TV did not. (We found the remote the following day packing up. It was on the floor under the curtains. The room was not that clean, for the record).
The following day, we were moved to another smoking room with a working TV.
Breakfast had to be ordered ahead - we were not informed of this, so we did not get breakfast.
We have stayed at this hotel for years having fostered children from the lake. We have always enjoyed our stays very much. We will reconsider our stay in the future, certainly. Very disappointing.
