Very welcoming staff on reception(the Scottish gentleman David? was very helpful). The only thing I would improve was to provide bottled water. Georgetown was a good location.

Easy check in and valet parking. Great location within walking distance from CVS and georgetown attractions. Had a spa appointment nearby so that was convenient. My husband liked the gym and sauna. We did a staycation for our anniversary so the staff was super friendly and even gifted us a credit!
Breakfast was good at Juniper restaurant but took a bit long to get our order. Wish there were more dining options but it worked well for our shorter stay. Drinks at the lobby bar are a little pricier than normal but the bartender was awesome. The fire alarm went off for a bit while we were at the bar but it only lasted a minute or two so we didn't have to fully evacuate

the neighborhood is good ,trader joe's around the corner -we are good walkers and we walked all over town .
the location was a reason for my choice but also the pool -which at the end was a very disappointing experience.
during the week one has to make an appointment in order to use the pool since this is not the hotels facilities -so I gave it a try on the Sunday and it was booked for some swimming lessons - so frustrating- the pool is very small -3 people max. if you want to do laps -the chlorine smell was so strong I decided not to torture my skin.
we stayed for 5 nights and my daughter never really unpacked her suitcase as there was like no closet space .

That lady Opal on the Gold floor is amazing. She is really nice, polite and very welcoming. She is one of the reasons why I’ll go back
There is really not much to dislike

I liked the location and Lobby and the room.
The breakfast on the 9 th floor was poor and they did not have every day scrambled eggs.

Room very comfortable. Hotel provided free upgrade to room as they had space. Very attentive and helpful staff. Location is ideal for visiting DC and can readily leave car and use public transit once you've checked in.

Location, good size rooms, clean, excellent customer service, great breakfast at the restaurant
the fridge in the room was extremely noisy. Someone needs to replace it with a newer model. It kept us up on the first night

The hotel is lovely, the location great, a quick walk to Georgetown and an easy walk to Smithsonian. Our room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The Balance Gym affiliated with this hotel was a real disappointment. It's pool was advertised as a "large indoor lap pool, largest in D.C." Well, that is a bit of a hyperbole. The pool is NOT large. Yes, it is a lap pool, there are 2 lanes, but it is too short for serious swimmers. The gym has a lot of equipment, but it is so crowded and the machines so close to each other that it looked really uninviting and unpleasant, as well as unsafe in terms of covid and social distancing. We chose this hotel because of the supposed superior gym, which we thought we would use, but we did NOT use the gym at all, it was unappealing.
