Tolles zentrales Hotel

Uns hat alles gefallen. Die Lage ist sensationell, das Personal sehr freundlich. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Würden wir wieder buchen wenn wir in Washington sind, 2 Nächte sind zu wenig für diese tolle Stadt.

I had a great time and very much enjoyed from staying in Lombardy hotel.

Location is prefect, historical property, perfect and helpful staff especially people on front desk and a middle age African American who was extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast not that good but can be improve. Means can be with more choices.

Gym could be remove to a bigger place and chick in and chick out time could be little bit flexible.

Dissapointing

Shower was clean

Beds are small, house keeping always forgets towels sets per the number of people staying in the room, smock detecter making noise all night and keep you awake

Lombardy, un clásico en una buena ubicación

La ubicación. Cerca hay estaciones de metro y paradas de autobuses que facilitan la llegada a los sitios turísticos. Además, caminando hay varios restaurantes de comida internacional. Las habitacions son amplias y tienen un espacio con refrigerador y lavaplatos que ayuda a estancias más largas.

Los horarios de restaurante y bar son muy restringidos. El equipo de aire acondicionado es un tanto ruidoso.

As always, my home away from home. Great to be back.

This was my first return visit since Covid lock down. The Lombardy has been my home away from home for many years. It was wonderful to see familiar faces, and to be recognized and welcomed after a long break. The hotel has its own charm, which never disappoints. The staff are always friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming.

Nothing really to complain about. For me personally the pillows weren't the most comfortable, and in my particular room, the sink counter was unusually low, but manageable. However, the counter also had tons of space to spread out with your own stuff!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Es war sehr nahe gelegen an den Sehenswürdigkeiten und gut erreichbar mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr. Das Personal hat uns herzlich empfangen und verabschiedet.

Die Fenster haben undicht gewirkt, es hat sich angefühlt, wie wenn es reingewindet hat.

Older historical hotel in excellent location

Hotel was good with excellent location. Room was small and the kitchenette area was spacious but a little odd. The stainless steel counter with sink and mini fridge looks like something that would be in a jail or prison area. Didn’t match at all. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, hotel was good and I would stay again if in the area.

Went to the bar for a glass of wine or two. While sitting at the bar, I noticed quite a few gnats or fruit flies all over the place. Bartender didn’t seem phased by them at all but there’s clearly a problem

This hotel has pluses, but undermined by top management's lack of quality control.

Clean and basics well-done. Food and service in reataurant superb.

Manager does not have good control of details or quality control, and when this is noted, she was defensive and suggested I move to another hotel. Good advice; I did after the first night. These were the problems that drove me away: Bitten 4 times in the restaurant by mosquitos during expensive dinner. Food and service was excellent, so this was a shame. Bugs have easy access through un- air-conditioned lobby through nearby restaurant door. In the room, T.V. and coffee maker didn't work. Manager said: " we depend on guests telling us what's wrong to fix it." This is defensive and reactive. Staff cleans room but doesn't check equipment. 8n addition, bathtub Fawcett are wobbly, and tamp bulb fixtures were dangling out of sockets. The room has a tub and a sink, but only one small bar of soap you have to move back and forth. Poor room amenities: very cheap, small shampoo and conditioner, no bottled water for coffee maker, which was broken anyway. Basic feel is old and worn out.

This is an historic hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue at the edge of George Washington University, within walking distance of the National Mall and well served by busses and underground rail. Given the building’s age, it seems to have been solidly built and it was quiet, with large rooms. The bed was comfortable with decent furniture in the rest of the suite. The air conditioning worked quietly and well. The staff was friendly and helpful and their restaurant was very good.

The quality of the rooms and furnishings was good, but not luxurious (but we were not charged luxury prices either). If one were wheelchair-dependent, a hotel of this vintage would be a serious challenge, as far as I could see. Only the rooms at the front of the hotel would have anything like a view.

Gem of a hotel!

Fantastic hotel! Room was nice size and had a little separate kitchen area with a 2 seater dining nook, a sink, a refrigerator, counter space- what a nice bonus! It also had a separate vanity table outside the bathroom- with its own little nook! Felt like a little apartment. Staff was wonderful. Great location!

Pay for parking at outside garage. On-site it is $52 per day. TV is basic cable.
