There was not a breakfast included.
Saturday evening the lady at the desk was unable to put the fireplace on. We love sitting in the parlor by the fireplace. Also she was not very friendly and was on her cellphone constantly. So much so that she did not acknowledge us when we came and left for the evening.

Very cool old hotel right by the ocean and in a good location for walking to shops and restaurants.
It was a very humid evening and we were in a back room away from the ocean. So even though we opened the windows we got little to no breeze and the humidity made the room stuffy. Also for $179 for one night I would like to have the remote to control the temperature in the rooms wall AC unit. Supposedly it was preset but when I hit the one and only button on the unit it did literally nothing and a working ac unit with remote would of been nice. Other than that nice place and friendly staff.

Great location. Beautiful building. Nice restaurant.
Parking was rough. Went with my sister. So we Had 2 cars. Told street parking was free during the holidays and woke up to a ticket. Walking to the top floor after a long day of walking was tricky. You couldn’t control the heat in the room. The first night was comfortable. the second night was so hot we couldn’t sleep. We had to open the windows and sleep with the door to the hallway opened. We called the front desk but they were gone for the night. when we told them in the morning, they didn’t seem to care.

The location across from the convention center and beach were great. The building was a quaint old Victorian with character. The restaurant in the building, Union Park, was excellent and the best part of our stay. Highly recommended, reasonably priced dinner menu for the quality.
I rarely if ever, have ever have left a negative review anywhere, but here goes. The room we had on the second floor (no elevator lots of steps with luggage) was clean and quaintly decorated, but very uncomfortable. There was one AC vent on the floor that you cannot control and no opposing windows that could allow you a cross breeze; the outside temp overnight was in the low 60s and having windows open might have helped, but the windows were broken and wouldn't stay open. There was a slight trickle of cooled air exiting the AC vent. We were both soaked with sweat both nights, with just a light sheet on and got terrible sleep. The seat on the toilet in the tiny bathroom was loose and sliding off
Poor water temp control in the little shower, getting hot and cold, low pressure. We could hear doors opening and closing very early, but because of the stifling temp, we weren't sleeping anyway. For the price, was very disappointing. Will not be back.
