Pet friendly. This turned out to be an exceptionally wonderful resort to spend a long weekend at, even if we were not prepared to take advantages of all the on-site amenities available. It was quiet, restful, and offered wonderful views.

The location was beautiful. Staff was friendly. Very family friendly.
There were several issues with my room and a late night call to the office and also the next morning I told 2 different people what was going on. No one showed up or handled any of my issues when I got back at 6pm that day. The 3rd person I told handled everything super quick and fixed it all. I think they were just understaffed at the moment. They gave us a discount on the room and it all worked out just fine.

First time to Maine. Husband, kids, and I had a great time! Reminded you of a old school movie from the '80's with game room, bikes, ice cream window! Staff was friendly and helpful especially Melanie, pool attendent David and his sister at front desk. Pool was great. The kids didn't want to leave it! The views of the water were gorgeous!! We ran out of time to rent kayaks this time. Would definitely go back! Our room was clean but bathroom definitely needs an upgrade and scrub down which I think new management said they were in process of doing. Restaurant was good! Popham State Becah is 15 minutes away. Absolutely beautiful there! Trees, huge rocks, tide pools everywhere. Small admission fee for beach. Thank you Sebasbo Harbor for an amazing time!

It was secluded and there was a lot of amenities
They overbooked us and then put us in a room with 1 bed where I paid over 500 dollars

Location, a king bed
We booked because we needed a nice relaxing meal and good night’s sleep . This appeared to be a great spot.
Arrived 6 pm, room wasn’t ready. Gave us another room next to the gathering point ,super loud until 11 pm. Kids running and screaming.
Called ahead to make sure the restaurant was open, message said open 7 days a week- it was closed. No food anywhere at the resort.
Blinds on windows let light in, no curtains , so at 6 am we were up… screaming children aided in our wake up “call”.
Breakfast- dark room , huge tables with wrinkled table cloths and water dripping from the ceiling. Not what I would expect from a resort.
Lastly, umbrellas at the pool blowing over. Ours nearly fell on me but my husband caught it. It wasn’t that it was super windy, they were just cheap bases that wobbled.
Meanwhile, we got to listen to staff complaining about how much overtime they had to work because they were so understaffed. Mind you, she was complaining instead of doing her job.
All around a very sad experience for a place that should and could be excellent.

Beautiful space
Too many cigarette butts all over

Breakfast was great. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent with good views and great service. Access to the dock to keep the boat overnight on nearby moorings was an unexpected plus. Resort grounds themselves were nice and there were a variety of activities to keep others occupied.
Room description promised queen beds and they were double beds. Shower didn't drain. Room was a disappointment compared to photos posted by resort. Resort fee wasn't obvious until just before paying.

Great property
Pool wasn’t open 3 out of 4 days

the hot buffet breakfast was unexpected but very good! [when i hear "continental" I don't think eggs and bacon!]
the big disappointment was no fireworks on site for the 4th ):
so nice to have a restaurant to walk to and enjoy --- our server, Bridgette, was so animated and very personable!!
think about different mattresses? we prefer a very firm mattress and so it was a bit soft for us. otherwise, the main lodge rooms and common areas were tastefully furnished and attractive----

Serene location, many activities, friendly staff.
Our room was on the 2nd floor of the main lodge, no elevator. We had to carry our bags up the stairs.

Bed was very comfortable. Waterfront view was nice. Staff was friendly. Easy check out.
The weather was terrible with rain the whole time but we were looking forward to using the game room, spa, and onsite restaurant to occupy some time. Spa is no longer being staffed, we couldn’t use the restaurant because it was booked for a wedding, and the game room was only open at night from 7-10. The description has been updated accurately to not falsely advertise having a spa. Too late for us.

Breakfast not included and no restaurant facilities available. Nearest breakfast venue miles from the property
There was so much NOT to like about this resort. I could write at length and in detail but have chosen to summarize as follows. No matter where you stay as a traveller the basic requirements of accomodation should be a pleasant welcome, helpful staff and being treated with some kindness. This resort lacked in all three and if I was travelling to the area I would seek accomodation anywhere but here regardless of the cost or level of facilities.

Was not informed that we would have to drive 12 mile for breakfast that was to be included. After making reservation was told that the restaurant for dinner would be closed for the season.

nothing
It’s in bad need of updating. A “resort” fee is charged, $35/nightly, but many of the luxuries of a resort are seasonal and closed at our check in, including all three on-site restaurants. However, there is no mention of closures on the website. There is also no mention of the $50 per pet per night fee on booking.com’s website so that was a major surprise upon arrival after a 16hr drive. I would have never booked my stay with this location given that I have two small dogs and it increased the nightly cost by $100, plus tax. After traveling almost 900 miles to view a few lighthouses, what were my options…I had to pay the fee. The location was okay but the rooms are dated and you can very well hear footsteps from people in rooms above you or a barking dog in a neighboring room.

We stayed in the main lodge. The room was large, clean and recently refurbished. We had a lovely sea view.
We arrived around dinner time on Friday night and were surprised to find there was no food on-site. It was at least a 40 minute round trip to civilization. I really think they should call out the no food issue in the listing in the important notes - they note the pool is closed for the season. It’s not clear on the booking.com listing.

Beautiful location and super cool room in the lighthouse with an amazing view.
could be cleaner and better maintained
2.0 / 10.0
The rude front desk
The massive spider webs along ceiling
The AC that sounded like a jet engine that couldn’t be turned off
The fire alarm going off in the morning and no fire dept to officially clear/make safe the building, just some old man saying it musta been someone’s hot shower, meanwhile the staff continued to enter the basement to start their shift, leading one to believe they use the fire alarm as a work bell
The mosquitoes
The poor wait service and the $16.00! Cocktails

Fantastic location, beautiful views. Most available staff were very friendly.
The carpet in the room was dirty and smelled like wet dog. Silly cheap single coffee maker. No coffee available at resort until 730 due to staff shortage. Food was delicious however very limited. Resort sent me a pre-arrival text asking if I had any questions but never responded to my return text with questions.
