Very comfortable stay and very clean.
Rooms were a little outdated

The genuinely caring and professional service provided by your exemplary employee, Ms LaDonia Adams, in dealing with otherwise difficult matters the morning of our departure.
The service in the restaurant in the evening was excellent.
The shuttle drivers were friendly and very helpful.
The main issue was that there was no hot water at all on the morning of our departure and we were told that this was not an uncommon occurrence. We faced a 17+ hour flight later that day without being able to take a shower. We resolved this by requesting access to a room later, when the heating problem was fixed (apparently involving the boiler) so we could shower before our flight. This request was accommodated by allowing us to keep our room until we returned from downtown Dallas in the afternoon.
One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the opportunity to swim before a long flight, as a means of assisting my back problem- but the swimming pool was closed for maintenance and no warning of this had been provided on Bookings.com.
We arrived without any US currency and the hotel ATM was not working (nor was it fixed before our departure). Fortunately, a nearby gas station had a working ATM but it charged an exorbitant fee for its use!
We were initially given the wrong category of room-with 2 double beds rather than a King bed room. We were later allocated the correct category upon request.
The Starbucks Cafe was closed when we arrived at midday, and remained so all afternoon- and was closed again for much of the next day.
There were two paper cups in the room - okay for single use (coffee) but why not provide glasses for drinking water?
Overall, the hotel has the air of neglect. Parts of it are being renovated, but that is no excuse for the numerous problems and deficiencies. We are "Hilton Honors" members but have lost confidence in this hotel brand.

Excellent airport shuttle. Easy check-in. Great pillows.

Location and shuttle
Dingy, possibly the worst Doubletree facility I have ever stayed, despite the nice staff who I have no complaints. It appeared it lacked in cleanliness outside of the rooms as trash was full in common area and leftovers from fast food remained for over night

The Property is located in the central area to DFW. With shuttles running back-and-forth to the airport.
At Time of check-in room that we reserved and pre-paid for was not available. Reserved a deluxe double room there was three of us traveling ended up with a room with one bed. They said that they would bring us a Trendle bed for the third gas at 3:00 AM we gave up next morning. I called and asked for a third set of towels , desk said she would have them sent up. We checked out at 12 PM and still have not received the extra towels

the sheets were a little rough.

This hotel perfectly represented the Doubletree brand. The proximity to the airport was great and the free shuttle (although a complicated and time consuming route) was efficient and free! Staff at the desk was fun, professional and helpful. The room was typical of this vintage hotel but very clean and comfortable. The bar/restaurant off the lobby offered good food, good service and excellent drinks.
Not much to complain about here except that there were no water glasses in the bathroom for brushing your teeth or taking medication. The individual air conditioning unit functioned well but was a bit loud during the night.

Great location with lots of safe places for me to walk with my dog. Wonderful to have a Bar and Grill on site so that we did not have to leave hotel for food and drink. We left too early to eat your breakfast. We would have appreciated more than one coffee packet in the room -- we asked for another so that we could both have a cup of coffee, but staff said there were no more.
Supply of coffee in the room.

the quality of the beds
the bathroom looks old date and not that clean.

The best is first and foremost is the staff. Then it is comfortable and clean. Then the shuttle to and from DFW. I will be staying here once a year for annual meeting with my company.
I honestly can't think of anything.

The location was close to the airport for a layover stay and they had a free shuttle service.
The return shuttle from the hotel during off hours ran every hour. Our return shuttle came a bit late to pick us up.

The bed and room was clean and comfortable .
We did not like that it took them 2 hours to pick up us from the airport. We did not get to the hotel and checked in until 1:45. We had to get up and return to the airport on the 6:00 a.m. shuttle so we did not get much sleep.
