Cómodo, limpio, mucho espacio en la habitación, con dos lockers para cada persona, me guardaron las maletas después del check out, queda caminando a 15 minutos a American Falls por un camino con bellas vistas a los lagos.

Nice, comfy, warm house. The first hostel in US for 4 month, where I could feel like home. The best sleep.
Tip: if you come on Sunday you’d probably be alone in a whole room for 8 females ;)
The man from reception was really nice, gave me a map and showed the best route to see Niagara Falls from US side.
You should keep in mind that there are no shower gel, hand soup or nothing like this. It was fine for me, but it can be important for someone

Great location. Walking distance from Niagara Falls. The manager was friendly.
No towel was provided. Went to ask someone at the front desk, but no one was there in the evening and even in the morning. Had to use my t-shirt as a towel. Wanted to say bye in the morning, but no one was there.

You can get an education in fixing the flush mechanism of an old house by using youtube videos.
About the owner's response: It insinuates that they offered the private room for free. Fact check: I paid while checking in for the Private room. I had requested a private room and was very happy to get one. I specifically remember gladly sliding my amex platinum card on the counter. The owner wants to paint me as someone looking for a discount because that is his idea of what people from India do. If you read other bad reviews, you will notice a pattern. The only reason I stayed at this old house is because I like old houses and it had a basic kitchen. I don't think I have ever asked for a discount in my whole life.
The idea that I made up a problem at 7 am on the day of checkout to get some kind of discount is unhinged for many reasons. A simple one being I had already paid. I also fixed the flush using youtube videos. Thank god for youtube!
The owner who used to run psyop for american government thinks he is not racist. Fair enough. I guess the ultimate psyop is what we make ourselves believe.
The owner is racist. The house is old and when there was an issue, he said "These things only happen when people from certain cultures show up". He also had unpredictable behavior and made us very uncomfortable.

Great location…we walked everywhere. Jeff gave hints and suggestions (where to eat, when to ride Maid of mist, where to watch fireworks, where to find a nearby jazz festival) and the room was practically brand new…completely renovated! The bed was comfy, the water was hot, the space was quiet, the frig was a bonus. Having never stayed at a hostel, I was apprehensive before our arrival, only choosing this spot bc of the reviews. Truly, the reviews are right. Stay here!!!!
I’m only answering this bc you will understand that I do like the “finer” things…the toilet paper was only one-ply. I’d probably bring my own next time. (But really, that’s all I could come up with!)

It’s my first experience, not too bad, but not for me.

The location is perfect if you don't mind a little walk to get to the falls. The private room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. There is a large kitchen/eating area that was great for preparing meals and socializing with traveling companions. Plates, utensils, etc. provided. It was very quiet and relaxing. This was off-season so it wasn't full to capacity. The owner was happy to provide information about the area.
No complaints.

It is a very well kept nice older building with some modern additions. Good to have the kitchenette in the room. Plenty of space in the room & storage space for clothes etc. In a group it would be very good value for money with the extra adjoining room & the 2 x sets of extra bunkbeds. I would have liked a thicker duvet/comforter/bedspread on the main bed as it was a Winter stay in sub-zero temperatures but comfortable enough overall.
It would have been nice to have a TV in the room but I was OK with watching TV on my Laptop. The WIFI was fast enough for streaming. The heating was a bit hit & miss, so the room temperature was not constant. When the radiator was on it was good for drying clothes & towels quickly. For my Winter visit that would have been nice to be more reliable. Some of the paint work in the room needed tidying up, especially on pipework & the cracked window was a bit disappointing for looking outside. Could have done with a few more coat hangers on the doors. Only one for the whole room & secondary room. The curtains throughout the main room & bunkbed room were a bit shabby & need renewing which kinda spoilt an otherwise very pleasant looking room. Not a lot of reasonably priced restaurants or fast food chains nearby during the Winter months. What was available was very overpriced, not that good food really & extremely busy because there was so few. It took a long time to get served. One Fish & Chips Shop that does pizzas & stuff was OK but still overpriced for what it was. A large supermarket & some economy stores within easy walking distance. That was how I managed with my breakfasts.

Gorge View is just wonderful. I couldn't find anything that I wouldn't like. Because there weren't many guests while I was visiting, it felt like I was living in this beautiful, private mansion. Jeff is kind enough to tell you about what to expect in the hostel and beyond during your stay while you're checking in! Everything is spacious, clean, and you have access to the kitchen and everything else that you might need. And a little bit of walking will get you anywhere, so the location itself is great too. I, for one, enjoyed my time there very much. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

The Gorge View was a very pretty location with small, quaint rooms. The location left something to be desired, as it was not in the best area and my partner and I did not feel comfortable walking nearby. But for the price listed the Gorge View was an excellent value.
The area around the hotel could be nicer and my partner and I did not feel comfortable walking at night like we would if we were closer to Downtown.

I loved how close it was to Niagara Falls…within walking distance! I felt safe and although it was like being in a dorm again, I slept pretty well.
The bathroom door in the room that I was staying in got stuck for a little bit and I almost felt like I was going to be stuck in there, but I was eventually able to get out.
