location, staff and views of downtown
Room smelled a bit musty.

What first stood out to me was how friendly the staff were. The folx at the front desk and area where you can buy food and drinks--and everyone else we interacted with--were just so friendly. I stay in hotels for business and fun very often (and have worked in the hotel industry also), and I have not seen that level of service in years (not even from super fancy hotels). The location was perfect--I'm not familiar with Asheville and great dining was literally steps away. The hotel itself was so cutely decorated and unique, and it's amazing that it's in downtown but you've still got great views of the mountains and a lot of greenery.
The only thing I'd change would be I wish the pool stayed open a bit longer (they close at sundown), and it's a nice pool with an amazing view so it was a really nice feature.

The front desk was very welcoming and pulled up my reservation quickly. The room was very well done, this was an anniversary trip for my wife and I. I shared this when I made the reservation, but to see that it was recognized was well appreciated. There was a welcome and a personal note attached.
There was lots of construction on going, we were unable use the pool or going out to the Balcony. The entrance to the parking lot was also obstructed from entering.

Very friendly staff, & great location. Rooms little larger than similar chains. Appreciated that bed was made each day.
No complaints.

Great location
Construction going on. Getting in and out of the parking deck, and I wasn’t told I had to pay for parking until I got there.

The overall “atmosphere” was a good match for us. Liked the open lobby with bar, pool table, games for kids & foster doggies, meeting doggies in the halls. It was a very positive experience.
Well, the coffe/tea maker wasn’t working. Our “neighbors” got a tad too loud for us, but a call to management solved that!

The room was beautiful, we stayed in a corner room that had plenty of views of the mountains and the city. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and polite. All hotel staff did excellent work making sure we were comfortable and felt welcome and wanted. The location is the best part though. Easy to walk to anywhere we wanted to go the whole stay.
The hotel bed was not the most comfortable for me. My partner slept fine but I had some troubles sleeping at night. I think better pillows would help.

Great location central to downtown. Beautiful unique rooms and community spaces .

Location was perfect
The air freshener in the lobby was overwhelming, there were only two coffee cups and one caffeinated coffee pack in a room that sleeps 4. I had an allergic reaction to something in the room, and was itching all over the next day. I had to shower at home and take Benadryl to stop it, and I am not prone to allergic reactions.

Location is perfect. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff, especially front desk lady, were really nice. Will stay again.
It was just a little noisy - I could hear slamming doors a lot and people shouting outside and car engines revving. I know there’s nothing that can be done about that, it’s just part of being in such a central location. It didn’t bother me too much but that’s literally the only complaint I had the whole time. If I wanted quiet I could go somewhere else but then I wouldn’t be so close to all the action! It’s a trade-off!

The staff was great. The uniqueness of the hotel was wonderful. Location could not have been any better.
There was a window in the shower, which when the light was turned on, would wake up the people sleeping.

Clean
Concierge was rude to my wife during check in process… I booked the room, was attempting to find parking entrance (one is blocked off, very confusing) while she attempted to get information.
Incessant dog barking. Multiple dogs, constant barking. Disrupted sleep and made experience very poor.

The staff starting from the valet parking all the way to the front desk and cleaning staff were so kind and friendly! They went the extra mile to make sure we had an awesome stay, and we did :)

The location was perfect for everything we wanted to get to walking around downtown Asheville. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was super cute that they had a foster puppy in the lobby! The parking was very easy to go in and out of.
A couple more pillow options in terms of firm to soft. I sleep with a special pillow that I can't always travel with and having another option or 2 in terms of firmness would be a nice added touch! We were on the Main Street side of the hotel, and

I loved the location! It was walkable to so many places.
The price was a little expensive for one night but other than that, it was good.
