It is a charming place and fun to meet the other guests and hear about their adventures without the B&B pressure of a meal together. We are a couple in our 50’s and we like to choose more unusual places to stay. We were with my parents, in their 80’s, who thought it was pretty funky - not quite their style, but soon they made friends in the lobby and got into the spirit. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything but off the main road. It’s between two fantastic restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they really want you to have everything you need. Breakfast was not fancy but there were nice self-serve options for hot and cold food, a microwave, and toaster. The coffee was excellent and the rooftop hot tub is outstanding. Juneau is a darling town. I’d definitely stay again when traveling without my elderly parents, due only to the lack of accessibility for someone with mobility issues. Next time I’ll book direct as there were some issues with charges and the cost of the rooms here vs the inn’s own website. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Silverbow Inn.
Couple things could have been better. First, booking.com’s prices somehow ended up being way higher than booking directly would have been, and the King Suite does not have a hot tub as advertised here. Not the hotel’s fault. The main issue is the one slightly accessible suite is not truly accessible. The bed is way too high for someone with mobility issues. They had to lend us a stepladder for my mom to climb to get in and out of bed. It was a bit treacherous, but she was a trooper. There’s also a big post in the middle of the room. I don’t think the hotel claims to be be ADA compliant so I’m just putting that out there to be helpful. Had I known I’d have booked elsewhere for my mom’s comfort and safety. Photo is of the accessible-ish room.

Lovely boutique hotel in downtown Juneau. Managers go above and beyond to make the stay comfortable with all day home baked cookies and coffee available and easy grant and go breakfast options. Rooms are clean and ckfkrtsbke.

Beautiful, warm and inviting with friendly and helpful staff
No lift but not really needed

The staff was friendly, pleasant and professional. The facility was inviting. I like having coffee available in the lobby. The location cannot be beat. The decks were fun.
Not having an elevator was tough. I travel for work with a really heavy bag. The room was small so I had only the bed for sitting. Also no top sheet. I was able to get one from the housekeeper.

Very convenient. Host was fantastic.
Room was very small, and it was a bit pricey.

The comforter was a bit to hot. A light blanket would be a better alternative for us.

PERFECT. I have to say, this is probably the best hotel/Inn I’ve stayed in not only in Alaska, but all over the US.
First, everything and all the process can be self-service, even i got there late, they have all the access code and a letter at the front desk to let you do the self-check in.
What’s more, they have incredibly adequate facilities in the kitchen. you can have your coffee/tea/hot chocolate anytime with all the milk/creamer/marshmallows prepared. There are also baked cookies, egg bites, muffins, yogurt, granola, popcorn and fruits you can get in kitchen. You can have that if you feel hungry or thirsty, it’s very considerate.
Also, the decoration and the whole interior design is so beautiful, I love how they put various artworks from local artists. And the interior design of the room is aesthetic, is kinda modern with Nordic style.
By the way, the Italian restaurant they have (just near the hotel) is super good. I ordered the Funghi pizza and is super delicious and worthy.
Last but not least, I want to share how sweet and considerate the people here are. I accidentally stained the sheets because of my period, I feel sorry and left a memo to contact me. Then I got the housekeeper left me a heart-warming letter saying it’s okay. The message is warm and considerate, I never have this kind of experience and I am wondering how they can be so nice and caring.
I really love this place so much and it makes me want to visit here in the future!! sending my love!

Super location, most attractions within an easy walk, including the cruise pier where we boarded our UnCruise cruise. Loved the kitchen and cozy lobby area for morning coffee and continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly and and helpful. The rooftop deck and hot tub were also great.
There is no elevator, so be prepared to take your luggage up a flight or two of stairs. Rooms were a bit small.

air con couldn’t be switched off.
The paying for laundry arrangements are terrible. $7, ALL IN QUARTERS!! How crazy. No one uses that sort of cash anymore. please make it either pay by card or added to the bill.

It was cute boutique hotel right in downtown. It was very clean and the location was great! Walking distance to everything. The hot tub was great too.
It does not have an elevator so just be aware of that.

Location.
Rooms are small for the cost. A/C was not adequate. No airport shuttle service. “Breakfast” was not adequate. For the price, I expected a hot breakfast served by staff. They have embraced technology at the expense of hospitality. They tried to eliminate any contact with their staff and instead offer self-service “hospitality”. The last thing I want to do on vacation is to get a text with a link to a YouTube video, so I can learn how to operate their coffee machine.

The breakfast was adequate and the hotel is very charming. It is just looking a little tired and sagging. Our toilet leaked and smelled musty. For a price of almost $600 a night, we expected better quality. We left out our tag for service and no one ever showed up. So for 3 nights, no towels or any service of any kind. The staff was nice, but seemed overworked, tired and overwhelmed. Handling lots of complaints from guests.

Great location, staff very responsive, cute coming area setup
A little noisy…because of the great location. Maybe consider noise cancelling windows?
