Location!
Bathroom shower was a bit clogged. Big hair wad came out of the drain.
7.0
Location…the art deco type architecture…the classic NYC feel.
We feel we missed the vibe of a truly customer focussed venue…the front desk and the restaurant booking staff were polite but never really reached out to go the extra yard.

Great location, comfortable beds, cute design.
For a 4 star hotel I was surprised it was a problem to get a cup of chamomile tea late at night (closer to 1 am). The front desk person said the bar was closed and they could not get me tea. If the front desk staff can't make a cup of boiled water when the bar is closed, then please put tea / coffee in the room!!
They do provide robes but you have to ask for it specifically.
Mind that they authorize a $200 charge for damages in addition to the room rate, it clears out in a few days after check out but I find that annoying, especially that it wasn't mentioned on Booking.

The location was good! Water pressure was great for the shower. Not much more to tell.
Stinky urine smelling elevator! Damp bedding.

beautiful building; room was very large; quiet
air conditioning was weak; room was humid. The room we asked for was not held for our arrival; the "well" outside our window was filthy

The entrance is underwhelming.
Called the desk to send up something;
it never came. I came at 2, and had asked for
early arrival, but didn’t have a room ready, or
was gracious. Needs more polish.
I will say the room was quiet, and that’s a big deal!
In general, the hotel seems tired and not very classy or charming. The management is at fault here, not the staff.

the old NYC vibe but with the new, clean and shiny make-over
I was a little bummed about the scaffolding outside my window

The look of the hotel and the rooms was very nice and stylish. The shower was very nice, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly. The most amazing however was the beautiful view of the Empire State Building
The beds were a bit soft as compared to what we are used to in Europe, but still a nice bed in general

great location
bit expensive for the service / quality of rooms. ours was quite tatty in places, furnishings needed replacing and we wanted to order a drink at the bar when it was full and we’re denied because it was shut (at 9:30) - just didn’t feel like the service of a nice hotel

Loved the art deco style, the cozy and spacious entrance lobby, the on site restaurant, and the great location.
Rooms a little small, only one chair. No coffee maker or microwave. plus...don't know why, but despite setting the heater up, the room remained cold and there was blowing air (not controlled by the fan setting) all night. Unpleasant and hard to sleep in cold room in winter especially.

Great location, nice & warm atmosphere, great lobby & bar. And great staff! Very friendly and helpful - best hotel staff I’ve ever experienced in NYC).
Rooms are a bit small (but very cozy). And you hear the noisy elevator going up and down (but you get used to it)

Amazing location, amenities are all top notch and the staff is absolutely incredible. Lashann at the front desk greeted us at check in and could not have been more generous after finding out we were spending a night in the city to celebrate our incoming second child. She generously upgraded us to a corner suite and was kind enough to send along complimentary dessert and champagne. We will definitely be coming back next time we have the chance!

Location near Greenwich Village
Room very small, so small I kept bumping into my luggage. Heating system was very noisy which prevented me from sleeping. Staff were very good, but I would not stay again.

Bathroom cleaning of room staff all good.
There was issue with room key had to be fixed 4 times brfor3 I was moved WiFi terrible the staff had a very unpleasant thing to have to do by pressing thing of a breakfast voucher it was in poor tase and felt bad they had to what was told .Next time 2 try room should been moved.im from pa a Uber ride was 175 at most they wer3 going to charge me 450 on a taxi I get but that’s robbery at the max

great location right near 6th avenue and a bunch of great restaurants and bars. staff were friendly and free water in the lobby.
We arrived at midday after a 24 hour flight and asked to check in early - they had rooms available for early check in but would only agree to let us into the room early if we paid $50 to get in 2 hours early. We were desperate for a shower so agreed but this was disappointing given all other hotels we’ve stayed in have given guests early check in if the room is available. The walls in the room were very thin so we could hear the conversations and snoring of the people in the room next to us which impacted our sleep. the bed was also uncomfortable and the room was tiny. one day the water in our room was dirty and brown so we couldn’t shower or brush our teeth etc.
