Staff and the location. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The location was right on the outskirts of town, so convenience without the noise! The only issue we had, which could have been a one off situation, was that the A/C cycling on and off every couple of minutes. We finally figured out (last night) that there was an error on the filter. We assume that was what made it so noisy and cycle so much. We never reported it because we thought that was normal but frustrating. I would bet it will be fixed soon.
Other than that, it was a good experience!
See above, I put it together.

There's something to be said about first impressions. Receptionist was a smart mouthed, couldn't be bothered wench. Heavy sighs with one damn question about parking. All the emails and reminders prior to trip were exhausting. Repetition of the rules as if the place was something fancy. Pffft waste of money.

Cleanroom, comfortable room. Enjoyed sitting in the common area outside the office. It was right outside our door. Enjoyed the music and the chairs!
A small trash can in the bathroom would have been good.

Very homey feeling! The king bed was very comfortable and I liked how many pillows was given. It was peaceful and gave us chocolate and water as a complementary. The AC was nice in the room!!
I didn’t like how only one side of the bed had a plug to charge the device! It would have been nice to have more lights outside so you can see around you when you seat outside. it was a little bit expensive!

The location was perfect that it was in a walking distance to the downtown area yet far enough that it was not busy around the hotel. It was also on the way to the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Breakfast was great, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The bed was very comfortable
The staff didn’t seem to like their job, they didn’t follow through with what they said they’d do. I’m not sure if they were understaffed or just didn’t care.

We stay at the Maxwell every time we visit Estes - it's exceptional value for its location and comfort. It's family run and they're always very pleasant. Just an all around good choice if you're travelling to Estes Park.
They turned off the fire pit at 9pm on the dot, which was a little disappointing. I understand there are likely rules from the town/county, though. It was the night before a big storm was due to come in for the next 2 days, so it was the only nice night we got in Estes this year - would have been nice to have a little extra time around the fire!
