The property is beautiful & well maintained. Trey was very friendly & helpful. Loved the room
It was a great experience

I loved the proximity to downtown Napa and the wine and cheese hour and the breakfast. The place was decorated in a chic trendy style and I loved the outdoor area.
No staff at night. If we needed an extra blanket or anything there was no one to contact.

Location was good to get around Napa and interesting building
There were extensive works being carried out at the time of our stay.
The breakfast was pretty bad for the price of the room
4.0
Location and quaintness of the inn.
The carpeting needed a good cleaning throughout. It had a faint odor to it. Otherwise, we really liked the size and location of the inn. We found everything we wanted to do in town to be walkable. I would stay there again.

The White House in was adorable! There are only a handful of rooms so it feels very private and intimate. The rooms are good size. They offer a breakfast daily and a wine hour from 5-6. The wine hour includes a charcuterie tray. The location was great, very close to downtown Napa. The parking lot felt very safe since it was in a residential area. They also had a table set up on each floor that you could get clean towels and toiletries so you didn’t need to wait or be bothered you could just help yourself which was great! The ham, cheese, and avocado breakfast sandwiches were yummy!
I wouldn’t say I didn’t like anything but more like suggestions. The breakfast could use a little more variety, maybe some sweet breads, muffins or pastries. We were bummed the hot tub was out of order but these things happen. Also, maybe have access to a microwave in case someone wants to heat up left overs.

The place looks nice from the outside. The complimentary wine is a plus. The staff are super nice. Good location. That's all on the positive side.
I was very disappointed in general. Especially the value, not good at all. The property is in a higher class range with a higher class price. But beside the building itself everything is cheap. I mean like there is a Nespresso machine but they buy the cheapest capsules, not good taste. There is a really small tv in the room which is not a good brand therefore kinda unusable. The room was small. The pool was not clean. The hot tub was out of order (nothing in the description). The time window of the breakfast is really limited so we couldn't utilize it. The pillows are super uncomfortable. All would be acceptable for like half the price but that's not the case.

The house was lovely, however, the pool/hot tub were closed for the duration of the trip
Pool/hot tub being closed
Being on the upper floor and bumping our heads on the vaulted ceiling

The location was great.
We paid a lot of money for a tiny bedroom which contained a small double bed and a TV. There was nowhere to put anything like a book or phone. We asked for a different room and were told that we would have to pay a massive amount on top of what we'd already paid.
Breakfast was pretty poor, with burritos being left under warming lamps until they were the consistency of old leather.
The outside area was under 'rebeautification' so we were unable to use any of the spa facilities. In all, this was a really disappointing experience. The hotel promises so much and doesn't deliver. I would never stay here again.

Breakfast was limited but very delicious.
Location was great- nice neighborhood.
The staff were very accommodating.
Although my name is Karen I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like!

i love the property and the staff there, the rooms are specious and stylish
i didn’t like that the windows were covered with plastic, because of the painting of the house… i thought that maybe they should regulate it better, like close the house partially, not all of it at ones. otherwise, in my opinion, they should have close the hotel for renovation, coz it felt creepy to have windows covered in your room and doesn’t have any sunlight in it

very pretty hotel and comfortable room, though basic
Lacked a bit of ambience

Fabulous, historic location for exploring Napa and its wineries. Walking distance to great restaurants, beautiful garden and wonderful breakfast. Wine tasting was also a plus.
While we understood property was historic, our room was quite small.

Breakfast could have been a little more organised and more choice. Property had character and charm and was warm and comfortable.
You had to ask to have your room cleaned and beds made.

Location is convenient and the property looks as advertised. It's a beautiful Victorian style inn. The room we stayed in was spacious enough, big clean bathroom. The grounds look amazing. The living room/lounge/breakfast area are spacious and cozy. We enjoyed a glass of wine and charcuterie board. The staff is friendly and helpful.
3.5
Beautiful inn but backyard space not kept up in winter. Four Roto rooter trucks in parking lot when we pulled in but fortunately the damage was in the basement. Assigned 3rd floor room and we had lots of luggage and we were the oldest people staying in the inn. Our room and the other room for our guests had mold around underside of sink bowl edge. Our shower drained slowly and our bathroom door would not open from the inside once closed. She was locked in for 20 minutes. All repairs were completed but no offers for compensation for inconvenience.
Sorry, put this information in the what we like box and could not copy and paste.

A beautiful older structure, friendly staff, excellent location….highly recommended!

The hotel room is super nice and clean! we got the largest room that fits 3 people comfortably. bed is toward the firm side. attic is super cute and cozy with fireplace. soundproof was great, as we were pretty loud inside but received no complaints.
the only downside is that this property does not have elevator so if you check in after hours you’ll need to carry it all the way to your room, if it’s not on the first floor.

Great location in the centre of Napa, which allows for visitors to explore Napa by foot. Free parking at the hotel is also very valuable and appreciated. Hotel is located in the quiet area of Napa.
The age of the house created a lot of noise which made it hard to sleep especially if your room is near the staircase. The rooms were very bare-bones and did not have basics such as wardrobe. Breakfast was basically non existed and there was enough food for one room, we came to breakfast around the same time as majority of other guest and there was no food or drinks available. I would say the hotel does not justify the high marked up price of stay.

The room in this hotel was so awful we did not stay, the property is located in a residential area
We had paid in advance and never received anything back for the 4 night stay, the money was taken out a few days before our arrival even though it should have been taken out on arrival, however after seeing the accommodation I can understand why they took the funds out prior to arrival
We called straight away and complained and asked for alternative accommodation and was told there would not be anyone to deal with this until the following morning, we left and found alternative accommodation, I emailed the property and they have not responded
I have stayed in numerous guest houses and hotels over the years and review most properties if you look at my history it is very rare I have had the need to give a poor review left a review like this before

Beautiful house in a good location.
Facilities are a bid dated. The whirlpool is dirty and the entrance smells a bit weird. overall it was clean but a dressing gown from a previous guest wasn’t removed from our room. Staff was alright but also not helpful. Overall it’s a good location to explore Napa but nowhere we would stay again.

beautiful Victorian building
needed hoovering, pool and hot tub with algae

close to town, shopping, restaurants ; was quiet; daily happy hour is a good concept.
breakfasts could have been better - no decaf coffee option in dining room, hot water for teas wasn’t hot, food not high quality nor was it kept hot.

Nice, older building with a history that is shared in a welcome tour by the GM, cabanas at the pool, familiar atmosphere, cosy roof apartment, the hotel is lovingly run, complimentary afternoon snack & wine
Fragrance concept in hall and at reception

They completely ignored my requests and the multiple requests from booking.com to reschedule (due to my traveling companion catching Corona). I appreciate the date to modify the booking had passed, but it was still 5 days out and I wasn’t seeking a refund just a postponement. The least they could have done was responded for $900+ USD.
