The vibe is very nice.
Not very clean and rooms very small. Bathrooms are not separate women / men.

The food at the cafe is great, the bagel bar for breakfast was wonderful, the dorm bed i slept in was so comfy that I did not want to get up, the courtyard and cozy spaces are lovely, the employees were all so friendly and helpful...love it all!
I accidentally used the men's shower. Awkward, lol. I guess late night with no glasses on, it was hard to tell which was which😅

Location was exactly in the heart of vibrant Nobb Hill District. Derrick greeted me, he was professional and knowledgeable.
Keep up the nice work

Privé kamer was erg mooi, groot bed en ruime badkamer. Aangezien wij een hoekkamer hadden genoten wij van het uitzicht over de straten.
Niets.

This location is pretty convenient to get around, $5/day street parking was amazing, very clean & updated facility, free bfast and friendly staff, café area, lots of indoor/outdoor areas to chill. The walking tour and nightly events were great as well!
I wish the hostel had curtains on the bunk beds but it was okay. My roomies in the 4-bedroom female dorm were great. The kitchen area had missing pepper and oil but I’m sure they would’ve restocked if I pointed it out.

I have stayed here multiple times in private and shared bathroom rooms. They are great. The location is walking distance to A LOT and if not then a short Lyft ride away! If you have a car parking affordable and I’ve never had too much trouble finding parking in the area they allow.

That's simply the best place and experience you could ever gotten yourself into! Starting from the staff that feels like a family who was waiting for you to come for years now, finishing with excellent service and really tidy room. Anything you need they have!!! + they're trying to run the business sustainably so that adds +10 to their your karma

This is the best hostel I've stayed in.
Only complaint is that there were two bathrooms unavailable on my floor for unexplained reasons

As older adult travelers, a couple combining business and leisure travel, we want it all: good, reliable Wi-Fi access, excellent bathrooms, etc. The whole place feels fresh and clean, it's not at all dingy as hostels and especially 19th century buildings can so often be. Even hair dryers and irons were there for last minute grooming needs. Shared bathrooms might sound off putting but they weren't the least bit icky, and the fact that there's plenty of them means you never have to wait at all. And there was tons of great travel info, posted on bulletin boards, books in the study, and in conversations with others. Because they planned the spaces well for whatever travellers might want, their place includes a full set of areas to use, like a secure courtyard, a cafe, a shared kitchen, and laundry room.
There's not much to dislike: the room was clean but you could see that it had been abused a bit over the years, with a couple of cigarette burns here and there. The double size mattress was tired, and old - maybe older than me! But perhaps we could have selected an upgraded room, so consider that if you are booking and also if you have any concerns about steps, speak up, so they can guide you.

Nice rooms, nice common areas, helpful staff, a great location, a kitchen to cook in and alternatively an attached cafe for the moments where cooking us not at option.

Very good location
Not super clean
10.0 / 10.0
The hostel was extremely clean. My bedding was really comfortable and cosy. The shared facilities such as bathroom and kitchen were kept really clean and orderly. The hostel had a fun vibe and the cafe food was also pretty good
My only issue, which is a small and probably hard to avoid one, is that my room was next to the bathroom and the fan in there was very loud which woke me up a bit at night. Not a huge problem though.

very good. kind employees. bathrooms and rooms were clean. the cafe was cozy as well. residents had to be quiet after 10 pm, which was good for people who sleep early.
the neighborhood was awesome as well. lots of independent coffee shops and bars. Trader Joe’s was nearby, the hostel had a kitchen.

Wished there’d been more of the everything bagels when we went for breakfast.
Still it was good and I’d go back again. Staff were great
Icy walkways were dangerous, could have been shoveled more or more deicer.

Very friendlly, helpful staff.Nicely redecorated Victorian era historic hpme, with modern security like card -controlled key locks on all doors, around the clock staffing, and adequate lighting in all key areas. Its' location is convenient to stores, restaurants ,parks, and late 19th century homes for thise who like architecture from that era.
My room smelled a luttle "funky", bur it was a shared room with bunk beds for six people of various backgrounds, ages and hygiene practices.

it was clean, and close to city centre
could have done with an extra pillow, very noisy from other travellers and the fans in the bathroom didn’t turn off
