It is location and size of the room.
The noise, from the walking & running steps of pople around the corridors, in addition the uper room noise and movement during the nights made our stay so tough. We couldn't enjoyed the rest and sleep. I have infrmed the reception several times as well.
4.5
The breakfast was good, the location is better, and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient
Two issues that kept the rating from the top, the "heater" was excessively noisy with pops and bangs as well as the loud fan

Great location & upscale property. Quiet room with nice extra touches. Clean, free parking and unique look -

We loved the free parking. Our king room with the kitchenette was fabulous. Super big room and very comfy bed. We appreciated the full size refrigerator and seating area. We enjoyed the rooftop for an evening cocktail, too. Breakfast was basic but fine for what we needed...yogurt, fruit, coffee for us.
Better selection at breakfast would have been nice. Perhaps a better variety of fruit and hot items.

Loved having a small suite with a kitchen to relax in, make tea with hot water not through a Keurig, and prep my own food. Free parking on site also a huge bonus.
Would have liked a second or third floor room instead of ground floor. Doors need second lock for added security.

Staff was great, responsive and courteous. Breakfast was minimal but adequate, very clean area. Coffee machine ground coffee for each cup, fresh. Location was great, with about 15 small good restaurants, breweries, wine tasting rooms all within a 5 block radius. great neighborhood to walk around. Trolley into town stopped right in front of hotel. A hospital was a few blocks away, stores, church all nearby. Room was larger than expected with small kitchen was a pleasant surprise.
All was better than expected, didn't dislike anything

Fantastic location near the light rail and lots of good shopping and restaurants.
Could be cleaner and is a little run down. The coffeemaker in our room didn’t work, the AC unit is old and really loud, carpet needs to be replaced or cleaned really well. Also, they do not provide housekeeping daily.

This is my kind of hotel. Noon checkout, nice breakfast, excellent coffees & teas, good privacy. I had a king suite. It was clean with fun, happy decor (the whole facility was). The beds are so very comfortable, I want one at home! And, it's close to so many restaurants and other interesting shops. Will recommend and will return.
That I could not stay longer and explore more of the neighborhood.

The colors were up lifting and had a fun retro feel to the place. The staff were helpful and friendly and local restaurants list was provided and street car tickets were provided daily. The beds were firm and yet comfortable. They kept out fresh fruit from breakfast all day. They also had excellent fresh ground coffee and salt water taffy, which was setting in large glass bowls for guest to enjoy.
The breakfast became monotonous as it was the same every morning. The only hot it’s were toast/bagel or oatmeal, which you made yourself.
4.5
Great location for access to medical appointments. loved the funky vibe and fully equipped kitchen. staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

Very Clean. Fun and comfortable decor. CLOSE to the Portland Street car. Coffee available all day. Quick and easy breakfast
Shower was not very hot. I like really hot and had the handle as far as it would go. No non-dairy breakfast options. No sitting table in family room despite having a kitchenette.
3.5
Well located in a nice neighborhood, close to commerce and restaurants.
The room has a noisy AC. The breakfast was rather poor (no jam, hot milk, etc.)

this Inn was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the inside doors with key card controlled doors. We had two rooms each with a king bed and a sofa bed that was very comfortable..a desk area and …a full kitchen! All very bright, clean and a bit funky with colors and styles..huge room! This was my first time there and I will definitely book again when I have a concert in Portland OR.
The parking was a bit tight but they used the lot well.

The room was very clean and comfortable.
I did not feel safe in sorrounding area at night. Though is very close to Downtown.

really comfortable, great location, lots of extras like salt water taffy and jolly ranchers!

We loved the funky decor and also loved the comfortable bed and bed sheets. The hotel provided loads of information about the local neighbourhood, including all the local restaurant opening times, the types of food they served, etc, which was great. Also loved the fact the hotel gave us a voucher for a free beer at one of the local pubs.
The floors were quite creaky and we could hear the people of the room above walking about and the floor of their room creaking.
Also the Aircon unit was very loud.
