Beautiful location, excellent and friendly staff, classic old school New England. Like stepping back in time.

Breakfast and location and staff fabulous!
Would have loved a TV in the room, but it was fine!

The owners were wonderful!
The restaurant was closed

beautiful…. loved the river and the grounds around the property
property and location was great

Great location. Located next to a river. Very quaint, large property.
The host. Mara is rude and charges $4 for a toothpaste and refuses to take card. The bathroom doesn't have exhaust and is very tiny for $260 a night.

Location. Beautiful property
Just one clean towel for 4 days stay. Not enough soaps, shampoo etc. You need to pay for extra coffee and tea. Extremely expensive food in restaurant

Lovely location and property. Extremely friendly innkeepers. Very clean and pretty room.
Shared a room with an acquaintance so it was a little close quarters with not a lot of noise proofing on the bathroom. A fan would help.

the lovely river at the back of the property
the only food options on site were strangely prescribed, $150 for a 7 course gourmet dinner, not really what most travellers would expect or want.

The breakfast was a two course meal and very satisfying. The property was lovely, very comfortable and extremely clean. The hostess was extremely accommodating and wonderful! Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable!
There was no tv or refrigerator in the room.

location on the river
a bit far out from the village

Lots of options for breakfast. Delightful staff / owner.
There are speed traps all over the place up there. The Inn was very comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and the location wasn't too far from downtown Woodstock. The rooms were charming and cozy.
I wish there was a tv in the room but it wasn't a big deal. I wish the room was a tad bit bigger but it never felt cramped.

Breakfast was superb. The owners very helpful, and gracious. They were very helpful in arranging dinner reservations in Woodstock for us, on evenings when they were not serving dinner at the Inn. The "library" was most comfortable, and a wonderful place to "unwind." The Inn's historic significance is well documented, and the additions (outstanding new bar, and dining area) are appropriate in their historic setting.
The bed was uncomfortable...a mattress that was long past its comfort-expectancy. The bathroom was cramped, with only a shower-in-the-tub, and virtually no counter space at the sink.

Very cozy inn. We participated in the amazing 7 course meal prepared by the amazing chef . The proprietor was the MC. It was such a happening. Loved it.
No wifi.

The dinner was beyond belief. Mara and the chef were a total delight. To top it off the grounds and room were wonderful.

Breakfast and location were excellent.Staff were very engaging and helpful. Outdoor property is expansive with outdoor fireplace and adirondack chairs dotting the lawn along the river bank.
Limited access to the bar in early evening. Lovely dinner was served in the dining room which was very well attended. If you wanted to sit in the bar and have a drink during their dinner hour, it wasn't readily available.
A bartender in the pub would have been a lovely addition although I think it's important to recognize the difficulty of hiring staff during this Covid/post-Covid period.

Beautiful inn with helpful and friendly staff and owner. They have only 6 rooms so it is never crowded. Huge property situated by the river where you can walk and relax. Very stylish rooms with comfortable beds and nice common areas. Breakfast was sooo tasty :)
Sometimes the highway no.4 and cars can be disturbing, however you cant hear it that much inside. Breakfast menu does not change, so do not order everything at once (even it is so tempting) :)

Food was excellent and I do feel both the chef and the caretaker shined most here with their knowledge on food and drink pairing although still need some customer service skills. Maybe practice vocal tone and communication techniques to be more inviting.
The lady who was the owner or caretaker acted a bit elitist/snobby if you asked her for something like it was such an inconvenience to her. She would eventually do it, but we always got the impression we were more annoying/putting her out than actual guests. She should work on her customer service skills. I've worked in the hospitality industry for years including the Four Seasons so I know how to make guests feel like kings. This wasn't really it. New beds could be improved too, a bit old and worn feeling.

Breakfast was incredible! Great way to star the day.
Rooms were small... no tv in the rooms but there was one on the downstairs library. Overall, great b&b, wonderful hosts, incredible breakfast. Would definitely stay there in the future.
