We didn't like it, we loved it! The atmosphere is very welcoming, quiet and relaxing. Friendly and helpful personal from the beginning of our stay till check out.
There's nothing I can say we didn't like, very satisfied with all the accommodations of the hotel. If there's one thing I would say it would probably be the breakfast could be more options like fruit, egg's, oatmeal or a pancake/waffle maker.

New favorite spot. Room was huge, with a kitchen, lovely pool, great location in my favorite part of PS, and the bed was comfy too. Great value! Will be staying again for sure.

Loved this place so much. So chill. The room felt massive and had everything we needed and more. Please forgive the gush, but I just loved it

Breakfast was quick and easy offering the staples of the continental breakfast ie boiled egg, fruit, yogurts, breads and muffins, juice and coffee. When I travel that is all I am looking for and the hotel put out a decent spread.
There is nothing bad to say about the Desert Riviera

It is a great decently priced option in Palm Springs with a fun retro vibe! The location is great and the free cruiser bikes on site make it really easy to explore the other parts of downtown. The bed was super comfortable and we slept so well both days. The pool area - complete with friendly hummingbirds was a delight. We also enjoyed Monday night Bingo at the Ace hotel across the street.
The breakfast is very basic - boiled eggs, toast - good to know if you are expecting a hot breakfast.
The check in lady on our first night was very kind, but said we had two bookings on their system and so they had two rooms waiting for us. I had already notified the hotel management of this before our check in date when I noticed a second email for a booking on the day prior to our arrival - this must have been a computer fault. Nevertheless, we were put in one of the two rooms and we went to sleep. The next day, another lady at the check in desk was quite abrupt with us immediately after we said good morning to her and told us we would need to change rooms. Her tone was as though we had gone into the wrong room knowing we would need to move - this was never communicated to us by the previous check in lady. We had already unpacked all of our stuff and so changing rooms was really inconvenient for us - we wanted to enjoy Palm Springs for our short time there - and so we declined to move. The lady seemed very off-put by our decision and we felt slightly awkward around her for the rest of our trip.
The hotel was so lovely and we would want to come back, but we felt the communication from the check in staff took away from our overall experience.

We always enjoy staying at DR when we come to Palm Springs!
The bed in our room this visit was extremely firm so we didn't sleep very well. We haven't stayed in this room before but didn't remember the beds being uncomfortable on previous stays.

the place is great, has the retro vibe. The staff is amazing, very polite and friendly. The pool is clean, you get towels and any pool accessories you need. We even received some frozen cocktails! You have water and other snacks free of charge ar you service, a kitchen, grill if you need it as well. I even saw bycicles and some golf kits. The room is very very clean, the bath accessories are also very good. The breakfast includes eggs, pastry and cereals.
