An unique place to stay with the right mix of service, friendliness, and style

Location is excellent with everything you need within walking distance.staff was all friendly and courteous. Rooms and common areas are unique unlike a chain with a story and a beauty all their own. Restaurant bar was a destination all its own with good food, decor, and great staff as well.

Not a cheap place to stay, but even so, it was a great value.

Look forward to returning next time to Detroit

It has a great open lounge. The whole location has character as it used to be a firestation. Our dinner meal was absolutely excellent and would go there just for the food! All staff was helpful and friendly. Valet worked well for our car.

I asked for towels to be replenished and they lost that request..

the architecture, old character as well as the memoirs from the previous fire department. really made this place stand out. staff was so very kind, best experience I’ve had in a hotel.

Great hotel, super unique, good location

The location was perfect. The hotel is super cool. It is a converted fire station and so it looks super unique. The rooms are modern and clean.

The only thing I did not enjoy was my breakfast. But generally I did not have great food in Detroit and I ate at a fancy restaurant. So maybe its just not a foody kind of place?

A little too much zoning in the Apparatus (adjoining restaurant/lounge); would have wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee in their lounge side but staff was hesitant to seat me because bar wasn't set up. They were nice about it and I liked eating on the restaurant side but was a little confused.

Very good

The hotel is brand new and clean. The hotel staff were friendly and supportive.

The windows aren't soundproof, so it is really noisy. My room was above an air vent and it was really hard to sleep at night

Apparatus room closed, no food or drink available. Very disappointed

stayed here once before and loved the room and bar.

we were not told there would be zero access to the dining and bar because it was closed for a private party from 11am-midnight.

Great stay in an iconic building!

Fantastic central location in a beautiful building, with friendly and helpful staff. Lovely immaculate room. I would happily stay here on my next visit, although perhaps specifying a room away from Washington Blvd as it's very noisy.

The windows didn't adequately isolate the room from the road noise on Washington Blvd, so earplugs were necessary.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. I wish I would have booked with you my 1st 3 days in Detroit. Felt like home with a nostalgic kick.

Great building, poor staff.

Great location in a historic building downtown Detroit.

The staff was not supportive, waiting time in restaurant for breakfast over 30 mins. Then for the check another 30 mins.

Nice decor and nice staff, rooms are very comfy.
