Breakfast was basic, but we were happy with the options and glad it was available. They have a lovely beach area! This is an older, smaller motel that has been updated nicely. The desk staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. We stayed during prime leaf-peeping season, and their mid-week rates are excellent. The location was also very convenient, and even though on the main thoroughfare, we did not notice street noise.

Beautiful location
little parking but it's a motel

Pros: Nice little breakfast, beach access, very friendly staff, nice view out our window.
Cons: I found that bed very uncomfortable, floor seemed kinda dirty and made the bottom my feet dark brown from walking on them.

I have stayed at the Brio previously and it is typically my #1 choice when in Traverse City. Great, kind staff. Right on the water, small but good breakfast, coffee in room (yah!). Love this place.
I'm not sure what I would improve. So I guess my answer is nothing! Will be back again when I visit Traverse City with family and/ or friends.

The room was nice and cozy. We had a view of the lake. The view was beautiful. The staff was so friendly.
The weather was cold so we did not go sit on the beach. They had a nice sitting area and tables nearby.

Breakfast was good! Location was awesome!
I liked everything. Room was Clean and cozy. Suggestions are to put a rug inside door and also carpet runners. Maybe some wall decor as well. Not complaining just friendly suggestions. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and
friends.
Thank you!

The location is very good. There was plenty of outside seating.
The bathroom needed renovations. The staff did not clean the rooms daily. One had to ask for fresh towels. One was expected to empty the trash. The traffic noise was awful!

It was ok
If they offered Suites, rooms very small

Breakfast could have been alittle more for the money. Location to beach was great.
Rooms so small and a closet is needed.

Very clean. Will stay here again

The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and the beach access was AMAZING! It was also close to downtown which was nice.
Would be nice to have a hot tub and more vending choices and access to firewood. Once the office closes you no longer can get wood for a fire on the beach...another fire ring would be nice too.

Love the friendliness of staff, the view the beach. Great restaurants are close by.
The price this year was high. The traffic.
4.3
The location-on the beach was beautiful. The rooms are quite small and not super clean. The staff was helpful.
It is really small and 4 miles from downtown Traverse City...but the beauty of the beach and the staff make up for it.

location and cleanliness.
Rooms a bit spartan for the price

Awesome location! Not too big and touristy. Cute beach area (lounge chairs, tables, etc.)
No iron or ironing board in room. Bathroom smelled mildewy.

Very cute and well put together. Great beach access.
The pavilion was taken over by one family our entire stay. Even when they weren’t enjoying their meal by the water under the pavilion, they left all of their belongings so other guests couldn’t enjoy it. They acted as if it belonged to them. Not to mention at 8:00 that evening, they decided to then pull up their SUV and blare their music. Extremely annoying. I came for relaxation but instead found my self in my room with the window shut and air cranked so I didn’t have to hear the bump bump of their very annoying music. I did reach out to the front desk about the situation. They were very aware of it because they too could hear it BUT I was told it wasn’t 9pm yet and that they will wait til then to take care of the problem🙄. Extremely dissatisfied and very disappointed.

it was right on the beach

Compact modernized units … so cool to wake up to the morning sky reflected on the bay! This is not your standard predictable hotel setting …. such a nice change from the standard chain offerings. Super clean … super comfortable bed!
