The cabin we stayed in had two full beds. Two ceiling fans, a fridge, CR coffee maker, hot water kettle, and hot shower. The hot springs is a 20 min tractor ride. The hots springs are hot, and beautiful. Or natural smoothie with several fruits. Get a massage for 1 hr $70. See the sunset at the restaurant. Everything is in the park to do.
No store close by needed milk for our coffee in the room.

de lokatie is prachtig met een schitterend uitzicht
de beperkte openingstijden van de verschillende restaurants

The room was spacious and the gardens very well looked after.
Ridiculous bad road to get to property, including the hotels private one. A half an hour drive where at least one of us was sick and we had to try really hard not to damage our rented car. Worse road we have encountered in our drive holiday through Costa rica.

Everything, there is plenty to keep you entertained. Rooms are comfortable, place is pretty, nice pool and good atractions. Special mention for José David, which is an amazing member of the staff and guide, cheerful, helpful and very genuine :)
I had a meal at the Jaguar restaurant and I didn't like the food to be honest

Location is excellent for max 3 days ( 2 nights). It allows you to do all excursions. We ended up spending more than we expected because of meals. I highly recommend bringing snacks if traveling with family. The room has refrigerators. Also get the package for the excursions if you stay 3 days.
Very nice views, kind of remote but excellent for nature and animals lovers.

Very remote peaceful location with multiple options and activities

I love how beautiful it is and how many activities there are. The staff is so so nice and friendly. We loved the horse riding and all the animals we saw there. I love that they have their own garden too
I don’t love that it’s so far from everything and you get charged insane amounts for food and drinks. $4 for a coke or water? That’s like Disneyland or airport pricing: There’s no filtered water in the rooms so you have to buy water bottles and that adds up with a family. And the waste is sad too. (We got giardia last time we were in Costa Rica so I really do think filtered water is important) We were so thirsty the whole time. I also don’t love that you pay so much for the water slide and only get to go down 3 times and the whole place is empty. It kind of felt like there were so many rules to a place, like you can’t have your towel until you are totally finished with the spa, which makes it uncomfortable to just hangout and not be in the water. You can’t go on the tree walk unless you have a guide. It all felt very restricted.

Wonderful location and one of the best sunset views ever from the Mirador. We really enjoyed the range of activities available, and given limiter time could take advantage of only two: the canopy walk and thermal baths. Both were thoroughly enjoyable for our group!
My only complaint is that the property is overly lit up with bright lights at night, which required us to pull our blinds for sleep. While I understand the need to provide lighting for walkway safety at night, as an eco resort the lodge might investigate wildlife- friendly lighting options using less bright bulbs. Visitors would be able to hear more wildlife at night that way.

Beautiful spot lovyview from our cabin. Some of the food good.
The only thing included were the thermal springs which were 3 km away... You had to get an uncomfortable tow from a tractor there, which runs only 4 times a day... Not hi g between 12 and 4!, so not a lot to do
The swimming pool is poor- not big enough to swim in
We ordered 'fresh fish' in a banana leaf whi h turned up smoked and dry
The experiences are 100 US dollars for a day, or èxpensive Individually
Information on is poor- little sig posting and even then not always accurate
Would not recommend to a friend

Wifi could have been better, but not terrible either

facillities
We thought due to the name and location that it was easy to get to the National Park (Rincon de la vieja) hence the name Buena Vista del Rincon.. however it was an hour away along a bad road. The road to the hotel is bad so you are kind of stuck there and have to eat at their expensive restaurant. Toilet was leaking and then broke. shower was dirty.

Room was a little hot and could do with air conditioning. Needs more hooks around the room and a couple more chairs

Close vicinity to activities.
We paid for water slide pictures and never received them. Food could be better and restaurants should stay open later than 8:30pm.

The adventure park is wild! So much fun for the family. Jungle water slide is a must! Food was fresh and tasty! Staff took great care of us
Our bathroom was dirty. Come during sometime cool as there is no air-condition.

Beautiful sunset, lots of wildlife in the surrounding area. Loved the hanging bridge walk. There's a beautiful waterfall not to be missed, they stop on a big tractor trailer on the way up to the hot springs.
Rooms were very tired and dated, bathroom had a very bad sewage smell but we only used it to sleep. No coffee provided in room either.

The view
The lack of vegan options, limited menus with mostly greasy food, breakfast is until 8:30 am, the food was unfortunatly tasteless and low quality (our dinner was disapointing, the rice was overdue and they charged me for changing the plate), the shower was a health hazard, i slipped and almost fell because the tiles are not meant for showers. In the sunset restaurant there is a constant smell of feces that i belive must be from the bathrooms in the end of the place. The drinks and food are overpriced, one drink can cost $10 and it wasn't worth the price. The staff wasnt very knowledgable about the plates, we had to go on a tour one morning amd they charged me $16 for a ham and cheese sandwich that the ham was plastic basically

Beautiful location many animals and natural surroundings. Breakfast was great except for the loud entitled americanos. Food was great. Views spectacular. Coffee the best. But many buildings are closed no doubt due to the pandemic.
You could not ask for better views the wildlife was everywhere saw my first Tucan in 5 trips, monkeys maanyothers I had never seen before right outside my room. The coffee was excellent. But no internet TV or AC did fine until dark then you better have a book

Everything Costa Rica mountains are known for was amazing. Hot springs, zip line, forest walk, we're amazing and made the whole trip worth it.
The accommodations were extremely basic. Not super clean and can't make dark for sleep. Internet doesn't work in rooms. The price of the accommodations didn't make sense... I would have been fine with the accomodations but for the value.. the accomodation prices were very high for what you got. Overall the place seems designed for tour buses to the amenities, guests staying over get much less in their accommodations..

Beautiful surroundings, lots to do and the mirador a wonderful place to see the sunset.
Room was comfortable but very dark

The location and views were stunning. This was by far the best part of the stay. The food was average, just okay. The grounds were really beautiful. The staff was friendly, but this is definitely not a resort kind of vibe where things will be easily accessible the entire time. For example, there is a swim up bar at the pool, but it isn’t staffed and you can’t buy anything there. The slide, hot springs and horseback riding were really fun and again, gorgeous property!

Almost everything. The hotel is located in an amazing place. The staff is amazing, always trying to go beyond helpful and nice. The activities are all great and allow you experience a little bit of everything.
It's a great place to go in an relax and still, have enough activities to challenge you if you're looking for a little extra while relaxing.
Some of the room features could have been more refined or improved. For example the bathroom's shower was not working that well and the main door was a bit off when closing it.
Also, depending on the season, a fan may not be enough to cool down the room.
