Excelente desayuno típico costarricense. Hermosas y cómodas cabinas.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Beautiful views and location in the cloud forest. Private rooms and terrace were lovely.
Most windows/doors don’t have screens and there’s no AC so rooms get stuffy. Only one restaurant option on site (drive down to the local sodas if you need a change). “Happy hour” was only one drink on special and still $8. Hot water was spotty/inconsistent.

good nature trails
didn’t allow solo travellers to join excursions, even with the offer of paying more

there is a good air and nice garden
the rooms are old, the restaurant is absolutely gross

great staff, beautiful Cabanas, very clean
the location was about 8km down a very rough road and we didn’t see the sun for 2 days. We were hoping for a view of the mountains but it was foggy and misty the whole time.

lovely place with beautiful environment
The menu should have costarican food, I know that maybe the target clients are very specific, but you can still offer our food, it would be a nicer experience.

The hotel is located high up in a beautiful cloud forest with lots of wildlife. It's very peaceful, and there were almost no other guests besides us. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly in person. On a rainy afternoon, we had the hotel's little cinema to ourselves.
As others have mentioned, the road up is very bad. Although the waiters are nice, the food in the restaurant is not great and overpriced. It is a remote resort surrounded by forest, so there are no other food options around. After we left, we found out we forgot a book in the room that we would really like to have back. Since we would be in Costa Rica for about ten days more, we asked if it could be sent to our next hotel. The staff promised to send it, but then stopped responding to messages, and it never came. We were quite disappointed by this lack of service, as we had spent a lot of money at this hotel on the room, meals, and a guided tour.

the nature, fireplace, game room
food was OK

Beautiful setting, very spacious rooms, lovely views, lovely grounds, quirky and distinctive structure. Great privacy having individual cabins. Jacuzzi bath a nice touch, nice private patio area outside room too. Very informative cloud forest tour with Hiro! Staff all very polite and accommodating. A really unique place with the potential to be exceptional.
The road leading up to the hotel is very patchy and difficult - 9km took us 45 minutes to drive up. Still worth the trip, but could do with patching up!
The food was very expensive for what it was honestly. The menu might benefit from clearer direction & for the price, which was on par with some of the best meals we had on our trip in Costa Rica (which were exceptionally good), we would have expected higher quality.

Excellent staff and beautiful location
4.5
Lovely staff, beautiful grounds, lots to do, enjoyed the walk and the fire in the room, the church, the milking of cows, the cinema, the books, the games.
Wish the spa offered more and had more times, would love a sauna or something like this, the restaurant was wonderful but a bit pricey, need snack bar where one can buy drinks/chips etc. as so far from shops. More guided walked be lovely too. More activities for kids.
4.0
location climate, rooms are much better then they look from the outside
when they have a party all have to enjoy when you use the public rooms

The restaurant at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! We had the best dinner of our whole trip here. The view also from the resort was outstanding.
The rooms themselves were a little old. Completely functional and the bathrooms were nice, but the resort as a whole was older.

Great location . Comfortable. Helpful staff. Great tour guides and reasonable tours.

This is a gorgeous place to stay, we would go back in a heart beat.
They need more pillows on the beds.
