If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.
Please be aware that there is a separate, larger home at the front of the property that may be occupied by other guests during your stay. Your cottage though is private and only accessible by you.

This cottage is quaint, cozy and charming. In a great location, literally minutes from Main Steet, restaurants and shops. Set back off the street, it's very quiet and secluded. There are a few things in need of repair or replacement but nothing that would stop us from stating here again!

Cute place. Local was great.

A delightful place to stay in Fredericksburg. Moreover, there is a very good restaurant and excellent bakery/coffee place next door. When traveling in 90-100F heat, having such conveniences nearby is a real treat. The Owners were very helpful. A+

We were shocked to find out the live music was happening next door. We could not read or watch television in the evening when we returned. The cottage itself was nice enough. It would be nice if we had been told in advance about live music. We could have made a m

We sated in this cute cottage 2 nights. It was clean and well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. It was walking distance to downtown and a short drive to nearby attractions. We just wish our stay was a lttle longer.

We had good parking. The house was comfortable and in a convenient location. We ha a little trouble driving our vehicle past the shrubbery and trees, but nothing got scratched. We would love to stay there again.

Cottage was lovely and just as pictured; conveniently located to shops and restaurants. My teen granddaughter and I enjoyed the Pacific War Museum, some fine meals and pastries, and beautiful drives to see the bluebonnets and other wildflowers…great three day stay.

The reservation was made for our son and daughter-in-law and we when we arrived my husband and I remembered from years past we also stayed at the cottage. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our children thoroughly loved the stay, the lights and the closeness to Main Street was perfect.

This was our 3rd stay in the Creek Cottage and we continue to be impressed with the accommodations. The cottage is neat, clean, and always move-in ready. The location is ideal - close enough to Main Street yet far enough away for peace and quiet. Spacious and well appointed it's the perfect base of operations for exploring the amazing Fredericksburg area. Our complaints are few: the goofy shades never seem to work correctly and always require tweaking. And the bed - if there's any plans to replace the bed, it really needs to be a king size and the frame needs to be lower. The bed as it sits is squeaky, too high and too small. An upgrade here would be a welcome improvement. Otherwise, my wife and I love the cottage and it will be our first choice as long as we continue to make annual visits to Fredericksburg.

We have stayed here before and loved it. The location is great. This time we noticed bare minimum silverware, glasses, no sugar for coffee, yet k cups and sodas water left, which seems strange. The wifi went out for half of our stay. They were very responsive in trying to get it fixed but we're not able to. I understand that things happen but we were not offered any compensation for this not being available for the time we paid for. My husband had work he needed to do so we had to go elsewhere to find wifi. I was disappointed with this stay and don't think I'll book this particular cottage again.

Sorry, I meant to leave a note in the book and forgot. The cottage was my home away from home for the weekend. It was comfortable - and wish my stay was longer!! The location was great, felt like I was hiding behind the larger house. I was going to go to the grocery store to get paper towels, Kleenex and found all of that furnished! Yes, I spilled my coffee so had to wash down the counter and cabinet! Paper towels came in handy!! Thank you for the lovely weekend. Perfect for one person and will keep the cottage in mind if I have a weekend off in Fbg again.

Have stayed here many times in the past. Great location and reasonably priced. Like the recent upgrades! The shower, however, is really unsightly. And the screened porch looks long ago forgotten.

We enjoyed the stay in the cute cottage. We have stayed here before and chose this location a second time for this trip. Everything was very nice, except that the lawn service came and mowed the lawn very early on Thursday morning. Since we were on vacation, we wanted to sleep a little later, but that was difficult with the mower and other lawn equipment being used in the yard. Perhaps the service could be done on days when no one is occupying the cottage or later in the day if someone is there.

Very nice, well-maintained cottage just a few blocks off Main St. Dedicated parking off the street. Had everything we needed. Nicely appointed. And - as a bonus - right next door to Hill and Vine restaurant, where we had dinner. Can definitely recommend this one. The folks at Gastehaus Schmidt were wonderful as well.

This small house was perfect for our needs. It is comfortable, dog friendly, and close to town.

Great location if you are in to walking up and down the main street area with the hordes of other folks.
Rental is in a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to the creek nature area for walking your dog (saw plenty of deer in the creek area).
Outside screen door for the screened in back porch is just about ready to fall completely apart and does not latch, so would not recommend keeping your dog in that area unless he is well trained to stay put.
The picture of the property is no longer accurate as there is now a large concrete parking lot between the front house and the cottage. The cottage is also immediately adjacent to a restaurant/bar and parking lot, so there is a lot of traffic (foot and auto) within 10-15 feet of the cottage but is not too bad for noise.
Property Management provided daily coupons for $7 off food purchases at local restaurants, which helped to offset the 100% markup on standard breakfast fare to bring overall cost back closer to reality...

This is our third time to stay at Creek Street Cottage. We really like the house and its location. I have a few minor things to suggest. A few things need repair. There is no latch on the screen door on the porch outside the bedroom. The drain stopper in the bathroom does not work properly. The window shade in the kitchen does not close all the way.
Thanks,
Loved our stay.

The cottage was nicely decorated and welcoming. I loved the 2 porches. Our dogs loved the porches too. It was a very relaxing experience. Will be back!

Close to Main Street, and HEB. Nice front porch with the chairs and ceiling fans. Bed was a bit too firm for the both of us. Will be back again because we like to travel with our dog and not every place accepts dogs.

Property was centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. Space was adequate for two of us. Window shades could provide a little more privacy. As with a lot of older properties the bathroom space is smaller than normal but was functional.

This property is small and cozy. We've stayed here twice. Everything is great about the property, but I wish it had a king bed instead of a queen bed and I would suggest that the porches and outdoor furniture be thoroughly cleaned so guests can enjoy them. Otherwise, it has everything we need!

We loved the house and location. The house had everything we needed. The porches do need a little attention. We will visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Creek Street Cottage. It was very accessible to the downtown area and the cottage was so wonderfully decorated. It was a lovely home away from home!
