Great place - peaceful, beautiful views, healthy and nice food.

What a magical few days we had in this beautiful 90 year old farm house with the most mesmerising views and the best hostess one can ask for. She made us fresh and nourishing four course meals with Utmost care for our dietary preferences. Not just that, she was so amazing with my four year old son. She got him to do nature inspired artwork that made for the most memorable souvenirs and also got him to help in the kitchen making empanadas, he had an absolute blast! Nothing was too much to ask. All in all it felt like we were visiting a close relative who pampered us with loving food and so much joy. We didn’t want to leave! Thanks to her we had one of the most amazing stay in all of our travels. Must visit place in Costa Rica.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. The views are amazing and the host is incredible. She is so kind and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were so delicious. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed for 3-4 to explore the beautiful area. We will be coming back!!

Everything was amazing, especially the gracious, nice, delightful host. She cooked locally inspired meals - breakfast and a 4 course dinner every day with all fresh ingredients (as much from the farm as possible) and it DELICIOUS! Unforgettable experience, can’t recommend it enough.
The entire location is amazing, the host is absolutely wonderful, the views are beautiful and it made the drive worth it but that was the only thing we were unsure about this location! The very windy, gravel road was a little treacherous especially coming up it for the first time in the dark but we did make it up in our Nissan sedan and it was all worth it.

I absolutely loved this place, Gisella was great, so warm and welcoming - the food she prepared was also incredible - super fresh and a well thought out healthy menu.
I had originally thought to try and get there by public transport but in the end hired a car which I am so glad I did as it is quite off the beaten track, although I had no issue driving there, roads a bit bumpy but I was fine in a little non 4x4. The location is so peaceful and beautiful, and there is so much to see nearby. I went horse riding whilst I was there and had some great nighttime walks around the property - the nature is incredible and the fireflies made it feel very magical. I also went to the nearby thermal spa - I went at night in the rain and loved it ! All in all I would absolutely recommend.

Gisella and Roger are wonderful hosts, they will make sure you’ll have an amazing experience in their Paradise high above the Orosi valley.
Apart from the comfortable accommodation, you’ll enjoy brilliant views, rain forest hikes, delicious dinners & breakfasts and expert knowledge on the surrounding flora&fauna. The cattle, horses (horse riding tours are organized) and dogs were rounding our stay here to complete!

Before we arrived I wondered if the drive was really worth for just one night. As soon as we got there I was sure that it was.
The owner made us feel very welcome, cooked for us one of the best dinners we had on our trip and gave us a lot of insights into life at the finca and in Costa Rica in general.
The place itself is lovely, decorated with a lot of love for details. And the view from the living room as well as our room was just stunning. If our plans had allowed, we would have loved to stay another night!
Two things to keep in mind:
First, the last 4 km of the road are gravel. We managed it just fine with our non-4x4 Hyundai Grand i10. We were there during the dry season and have experience taking roads like that. If in doubt ask the owner beforehand what condition the road is in.
Second, the finca is at an altitude of about 1500 m. It can get pretty cool in the evening, night and morning, so bring long trousers and a jacket.
Nothing.

The food was excellent and our host was very responsive to any requests. She cooked fresh, delicious food and kept the menu simpler than usual because we were with our kids. We had a busy travel schedule and our one night at Finca Queveri was like staying with extended family. Gisela greeted us warmly, had hot drinks and delicious banana cake ready when we arrived. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable and clean. The house is very old with creaky floor boards and an unusual floor plan but that added to the charm. It felt like an authentic rural Costa Rican experience - not touristy. Gisela also did our laundry and had it ready in the morning for us. We took a horse ride up to the top of the farm, met the cows and turkeys and practiced our Spanish with the farmers. She met us with fresh fruit smoothies when we got back from the trail ride. The views were stunning. Finca Queveri is an old fashioned, homey experience and the host is very passionate about wildlife, good fresh food and the history of the area.
I would not change anything but guests should know that there is a steep drive about 3 km up to the Inn (well marked). It is also much cooler there and I wore my fleece jacket in the morning and evening. Do not expect a generic hotel stay!

We were made to feel very welcome indeed by Guisela, who was very knowledge about sustainability and CR wildlife. She spoke very good English. It is very a peaceful place to relax.
The home cooked food was innovative, delicious and made with local ingredients. Guisela was careful to ask what we liked to eat, and cooked specially for us. She was very flexible about meal times.
The view from the sitting room of the Turribula volcano and the Orosi valley is amazing. One of the bedrooms has the same view - ask if you can stay there.
The riding and walking in the jungle just beyond the lodge was brilliant - lots of birds, flora and fauna. Her trail cam has shown that there are puma, jaguar and coyote in the local jungle, but they are very shy.
Other activities local include riding with very well behaved horses, thermal baths and driving round the lake - the orange blossomed trees (not orange trees) were very beautiful.
The bathroom needs to be refreshed. The gravel road up is steep but well maintained - so worth the effort

I enjoyed the hospitality, the informal atmoshpere, the beautiful surroundings, and the fantastic food. The hostess cooked great Costa Rican dishes based on family recipies. I highy recommend the horse-riding experience, the views are breathtaking!
Be careful driving up and down the hill to Finca Queveri. Better drive slow. The road is very rocky and difficult.

The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The dinner was made fresh with quality ingredients. The property's location was exceptional with views of the volcanos and town below. The horse-riding tour was so much fun! The icing on the cake was playing with one-day-old baby cows! The hosts, Gisella and Roger, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. It really felt like we were staying with our friends!

We had just one night stay(we never stay more than 1 night at a place), however were amazed by the hospitality of the owner. Road to the place is great. Views are amazing from the common living room and bedroom. Nice for the kids to visit the barn to see animals. Healthy cooked food.
One of 2 mattresses in the bedroom was extremely soft.

What a beautiful place! We are family of 5 and we spent 5 nights at Finca Queveri and we loved it.
Everything was confortable for our family of 5. We rented one room but we received 2 beedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Lots of space for my family to sleep good.
And we slept good, this place is perfect to relax, in the morning we woke up with the birda singing. At our window hummingbirds having breakfast.
Food is amazing, the best food we’ve got in Costa Rica. Slow cooked with local ingredients.
The views from the lodge are impressiv.
Our, host Gisella, took great care of us. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but we stayed more as we felt so good.
We will come back for the 2 nights before our flight.
If you find this place available do not hesitate and go if you are looking for a real costa rican experience.
At the finca we went horseback riding which was very nice, my kids loved playing with little cow babies. We went to hotspring at Hacienda Orosi, very nice place with perfect views.
We did Irazu which is also nice. We could do also Tapanti national park but we decided to spent the day at the finca.
At finca they have a very nice privat trail. Abour 1 hour , tottaly worth doing this trail. Real jungle.

The food was incredible. All home cooked, 4-course, slow food from the farm. I can’t believe how much we received for the price we paid. The location was gorgeous, the local trail was beautiful and great for kids, the vibe was tranquil and relaxing. Old school rustic farm house that has been in their family for generations. A rare experience. We highly recommend checking this place out. Their website doesn’t do them justice.
The bed wasn’t awesome

One of our best experiences in Costa Rica. Beautiful, carefully maintained farm with friendly hosts. Beautiful views of the countryside will never get bored, as well as wonderful cuisine. I recommend a horseback ride, this is authentic Costa Rica.

What a beautiful place! We spent 4 nights at Finca Queveri and we loved every minute of it!!
The lodge is an old renovated farm house. We had the lodge for ourselves; 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large communal room. Everything was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The views from the lodge are breathtaking!
What makes this place so special, besides the amazing views, are the owners Gisella and her brother. They are super friendly and accommodating, and very easy to talk with (they are both fluent in English). They will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We really enjoyed talking with Gisella every evening.
Gisella is a fantastic chef!! All the food provided is homemade with local ingredients. Gisella would literally cook all day for us, and her 4-courses meals were amazing!! We felt we were eating at a Michelin Star restaurant every night!!
The horseback riding tour was fantastic. We rode to the pastures to check on the cows and horses. We loved it so much that we did a second tour!
The wifi is very good and reliable. My husband works remotely, so reliable wifi is something very important to us. My husband had no problem working and having online meetings. This is the perfect place for people working remotely!
If you want an authentic Costa Rican experience, and you like nature and good food, do not look further. We highly recommend Finca Queveri! Our time there was one of the highlights of our 5 weeks in Costa Rica.
Muchas gracias Gisella!

A wounderful place with fantastic views. It feels like you are a part of the family when you are here. Very good local breakfast and dinner (included in the price)

This place has more to it than what we expected. They are the nicest people we met during our stay. They did our best to fit our schedule/needs etc and we wished we had planned to stay over a little longer tu fully enjoy the place. Amazing view from our room, too
One of the two beds was a bit worn. Larger and slightly more comfortable beds could be an improvement. A tiny bit of decoration too maybe

An extremely spacious suite, with a comfortable seating area overlooking the mountains. The owner was extremely helpful and the food was delicious.
Everybody mentions the long uphill track to get there, but there was a sign saying something like ‘ the longest journeys lead to the best destinations’ which sums it up really.

Finca Queveri is your perfect little gem tuckedaway in the hills around Orosi Valley. The homemade "local cuisine with" a twist definitely deserves an extra mention! So does the horse-riding-tour, not your typical tourist-adventure and awesome views! Mamy thanks to Adriana,Roger and Ramiro for making our stay such a memorable experience!
9.0 / 10.0
The place is a renovated house in a farm and it really feels like home. The views from the common area are spectacular. We could see the Irazu volcano and Orosi valley from there. We chose the half-board option and the food was very good! The dinner was a 4-course homemade meal. Adriana was very friendly and welcoming. She even helped us with some really dirty laundry after a 2 hour hike in the farm's trail.
The street to go to the farm is not paved, which is about 3km long. An automobile could go up slowly, but I would recommend a 4WD, especially in rainy season.

The place is spectacular. It is hard to believe you are only an hour away from San Jose and somehow feel in the middle of nowhere when at Queveri. Will definitely return

Just be prepared for a bumpy uphill ride up the gravel road to get there and back

This is a wonderful and super relaxing place. The finca is something out of a movie. Staff was amazing. Food was to die for. We took a horseback ride as soon as we arrived, it was breathtaking. I joked with my husband that one day I would be back to stay for months to write a book.
Everything was amazing

I highly recommend visiting. We had such an amazing time, the food is fresh and the service is exceptional. The horseback riding tour is also great, we saw so many cute farm animals along the way. Definitely one of the best stays I’ve ever had.
