Other things to note:
-2nd floor - no elevator
-Large Garbage container located behind the complex
-Possibility for noise - apartments are part of an 8plex
-Low Flow Toilets - do not flush anything other than small amounts of toilet paper
-Air conditioner - please do not run temp lower than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The compressor can easily freeze causing damage or HOT air to blow in.
-Sofa Bed - not the most comfortable bed. We have added another layer of foam under the bedding but please be aware that it is not the most comfortable bed.
-keypad door entry
-The complex is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to stay on top of pest control and keep the apartments spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.
-Ring Security camera installed on front door to monitor guest count and for security purposes.
The Neighborhood:
We love the historic feel and the charm that Old Town delivers. It's always enjoyable to slow down and spend time strolling through the square and the numerous shops and restaurants available. We feel perfectly safe walking around Old Town both day and night, just sticking to the immediate blocks around the plaza, and around Rio Grande Blvd. Going from Central towards Downtown does have some isolated stretches so it is recommended to use common safety sense as you would in any big city.
Distance to:
Airport: 9 miles
Balloon Fiesta Part: 12 miles (we recommend park-n-ride)
Hotel Albuquerque: 4min walk
UNM: 3.5 miles
Old Town: 2 min walk
Fairgrounds: 8miles
Convention Center: 2 miles
Location is perfect for walking to Old town and surrounding restaurants. Walk score of 84 out of 100. This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot.
Bike score of 87 (very bikeable, flat as a pancake, good bike lanes). There is a bike rental shop within walking distance as well: www.routesrentals.com

This is a very well-run vrbo property. Very clean place, nice decor, comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, good responsiveness and communication from owner, nice helpful binder of activities, restaurants, etc. and convenient parking. It was spacious, pretty quiet, right across the street from old town shops. It helped make our trip to ABQ a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Great space, very clean. Everything you need for an extended stay. Beds comfortable. Walking distance to the Plaza Old Town. Excellent breakfast close by Central Diner and Duran Pharmacy.

I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the convenient location, easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. The two block walk to the Old Town area was great.
The condo owner was very responsive and kept in touch through out our stay.
I would stay again.

We had a perfect stay in this lovely rental. It was exactly as described and communication with the host was great. Although there were only two of us, the two bedrooms / two baths would make it great for more people. Location was perfect. It is right across the street from old town Albuquerque and within walking distance of so many places to shop, wine and dine. If we ever return to Albuquerque, we would love to stay in this rental again.

Fantastic location for exploring Old Town! Great to be able to walk across the street for all of the shops, festivities in the square, and restaurants/bars including Sawmill Market! Also convenient to walk next door to Monica's El Portal or a block down to Flying Roadrunner for breakfast/baked goods.
The unit is rustic yet nicely appointed. Beds were comfortable. We did end up using the sleeper sofa for one teen (who started not feeling well during the trip, so decided to separate sibs for sleeping), and as stated in the owner's description it's not comfortable. Would be nice if this was upgraded to have as a viable sleeping option, but appreciated the full transparency in the description.
Super cute place & great location with parking - I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We really enjoyed are stay. The apartment was perfect. It was very clean and smartly decorated. Taryn had stocked the apartment with just the right amount of essentials for our five night stay. It is right across the street from Old Town and easy access to great restaurants. The only down side is it is on the second floor but that was not a big deal for us. We would stay there again!

The apartment was clean, safe and in a great location. It's directly across from Old Town, with great access to shopping and wonderful restaurants. Taryn was lovely and very communicative. If I'm in Albuquerque this would be my go to rental!

This is a great place to stay across the street from old town Albuquerque. We walked to the museum, many restaurants, the square, the Cathedral, and the ice cream shop that had Blue Bell. The rooms were great, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well equipped.

Enjoyed my 5 night stay in spite of the heat wave. Thankfully AC was solid. Would recommend.

Great stay with my wife and mother-in-law! You can't get much closer to Old Town than this - plenty of food and shopping options with a short walk. We always felt safe in the area. Host was super friendly... as was ABQ as a whole! Good mattresses and the host had super tasty pinon coffee on hand. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

It was perfect for my small family stay. This place would also be perfect for a girls weekend or trip as the old town shops were juzt across the road.
Our host checked in on us which was appropriate to make sure we have everything. We would stay again if we come back.

Traveled to Albuquerque for a work conference. This was super nice and homey. Probably a bit much for one person unless you like having room to move around (I do haha). The contact for the place was courteous and checked-in on me, which was much appreciated! Highly recommend if you need a place to stay!

The property has some of the charm of an older structure but has been updated with all the modern conveniences.
The host was available when needed and pleasantly responsive.
Great value for the price.

Enjoyed a few days vacation in this lovely apartment – clean, comfortable, provided everything we needed and more. The welcome binder was great with all sorts of tips on things to do and places to go while in town (lunch at the drugstore was amazing!). It was a beautiful/shabby chic building with great views of the mountains from our windows. Great location, just around the corner from Old Town. Thanks!!!

We had a really good trip, we walked to restaurants and old town square for shopping. There is a triple D restaurant just across the street! The apartment was very nice, clean and had everything we needed. Thank you very much!

We had an super visit to the Old Town area. The accommodations were what I expected. I loved the ambiance of the unit. Old wooden step were easy to navigate to the second floor. The unit was clean, beds comfortable, and everything in it's place. Could have used another power strip in bedroom to reach the mirrors. We were on an end unit, with some traffic noise, but tolerable. Old Town directly across the street. Easy walking. Visit Old Town before 6 pm as most shops close be 7 pm.

Immaculate property with lots of room to spread out. So nice to have separation between the bedrooms and 2 baths. Location can't be beat: cross one big road (median, light) and you're in Old Town. Very fast access to all parts of town. Front BR faces the street and it is too loud to sleep with the windows open, but there is a fan in the room. Other room faces a nice quiet courtyard. Fast communication with the owner and she was very accommodating. I would choose this property again!

Our daughter's house wouldn't fit the three of us so we found this pleasant condo which was very accommodating and comfortable. It was conveniently located close to the freeway and very short walking distance to the Old Town. We never lacked for things to do when we weren't with our daughter, shops restaurants and the museum right there. The only time we drove was when we went across town to visit family.
The condo itself had a full bath and a powder room so there was no fighting for a bathroom. The beds were so comfortable and the overall atmosphere was inviting, especially the courtyard entrance. The view out the living room picture window was so scenic with a grand view of the snow dusted Sandia mountains. We will definitely try to stay here on our next visit!

This apartment had everything I needed. It was neat and clean, with conveniences that include: walking distance to Old Town, restaurants, shops, Walgreens, and three coffee shops. It's also close to a nice grocery store (Lowe's) and it has quick and easy access to I40.
Inside:
- There are lots of conveniently placed outlets for charging your devices.
- The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans, even a toaster oven and a coffee maker. I didn't cook very much, but everything I needed was there. The cutlery could use an upgrade, as well as the Chef's knife, which was pretty dull. An overhead light for the kitchen sink had a burned out bulb, but that's an easy fix.
- The king-sized bed had a very comfortable mattress and bedding, and came with four pillows of varying types.
- The bathrooms were small, but fairly well-lit, and adequate. The shower had good pressure. Clean, fresh white towels and linens throughout.
Overall, it was a good location - I felt safe - and this apartment more than met my needs. I'd stay there again.
