My room was located in the older part of the building, the corridor by my room smelt of weed, the room
Itself was ok, dated and tired, the windows were old and didn’t close properly, the wooden window frames let in so much noise of the wind and a big draft, the curtains didn’t close properly the fixings that held them up were all broken and the curtains were falling down off the rail, it didn’t block out any light at all, the radiators didn’t work so I was supplied with two small plug in heaters which I didn’t use because when they were plugged in they smelt like they were going too over heat. There was no actually plug in the bath so I couldn’t use that,

Everything is Oky but out side is very good

The hotel grounds were beautiful.
Our room was out dated, the sink was blocked, the door on the bathroom didn’t close properly.
The food is bar was meant to be served until 9pm but it closed at 7 due to a function which is very bad as we only found out at 7pm. I travelled with my children so we was stuck at the hotel which was far away from any where else
The reception staff were not helpful when asked them about where to got food from and when I reported the sink was blocked and the door didn’t close the receptionist didn’t seem bothered so paying full rate for this hotel room I was very unhappy and disappointed

They didn’t let me in my room and rebooked it. I was crying at reception and they didn’t offer any help. Made me feel really uncomfortable . They told me to ring booking.com but couldn’t get through. I booked for 2 nights but couldn’t make the first and my friend told reception. They put me down for a no show ans rebooked my room! And took the money and didn’t offer any help :(. Was literally crying and told I have to go somewhere else
Staff and not informing me they rebooked my room and not helping. And taking the money still, they said it was booking.com problem.

Location was good in pleasant environment. Hotels grounds were well maintained and pleasant to look at. It was located close to major roads and highways. Price was reasonable.
Poor Wi-Fi connection in room, In fact non existent. Rooms were dirty with previous residents underwear left in bathroom, so rooms were not cleaned properly. Overall quality of hotel was poor as it looked outdated.

I really liked getting stung for nearly 250GBP for parking after my 12th stay in 6 months
Come on, I got at least a dozen free reviews to state my case. I told them this. So the progress can be seen here in the posts to come.
Questions to be answered by them under GDPR regulations here. Questions they have to answer.
Lets see if this was worth it for them?
They do not care if you are a regular customer. This is a scam. And worked as one. It is used to penalise guests and not to protect the hotels car park. Its too remote for that.
Just how many customers have they done this to and how much have they made from doing this to customers?
I would guess they do very well out of this and most victims are customers.

It was a beautiful property and I had an enjoyable stay
The handle on my door wasn’t good it kept sticking in the down position locking me out I had to jiggle it to right the handle

Liked the free parking.
Food, unhappy overworked staff, smelly room.

Not alot when they scam you for up to 250GBP for parking during your 12th or so stay in 6 months
Hard to understand and accept I know, but they do it. Zero loyalty to customers, very much a scam methodology.
They look to catch out customers and that is no hotel I am used to. I you stayed for 7 days and forgot, they will not even try to remind you and will fine you 700GBP. This is what you deal with at this Brittania.
This is beyond scary and something you really need to avoid. All mistakes are customer mistakes according to them and there is no arguments with them. You pay or court.
I have told them where to go for this. I mean who would not after 12 stays in 6 months or so.
They blame the customer 100% and still blame the customer if they dont remind them to enter details.
It will be interesting to do a freedom of information request to find out how much they get from scamming on customers parking. they must do this alot.
So they pass your data to the parking company. They must do or I would not get a letter direct to my house as its a lease car. One ticket went to the lease company as is correct. The other is not as they handed my data over to a parking company
So they know I am a regular customer and still passed my data to the parking company.
They could have easily said, no he was staying here and is a regular customer. They prefer to hammer customer as they will surely get a cut. They can see it would be an error after 11 stays with no errors. Therefore it is clear they know exactly what they are doing here. Its just scammer behaviour nothing more. They operate like a call centre.

Room , Breakfast and bed.
Bar and Gardens
Now tarmacked potholes on driveway
Booking into reception for the 15th time seems to be a problem
The card machine often rejects one of my 4 cards
Didn't make it clear there was a large function on as usual
And the room card only showed Bed and Breakfast
But lucky another couple were sorting out an evening meal as well
So full marks FOR duty chief and manager for just paying for the evening meal and for the next night evening meal without ant trouble
regards Jon

Away from town and motorway. Locates in the green forestry area. Good value for money.
Undergoing renovation. Swimming pool and sauna don’t work.
Gym is closing early.
Staff wasn’t very helpful, looked tired… probably bad day or too many hotel visitors…
2.8
Lovely
That the swimming pool was not open

The bathroom was beautifully fitted.
The room was a great temperature not cold at all.
The staff were friendly and welcoming when we had dinner and also the chef was great too. Great assets to this hotel.
The shower did not stay up high as it could not be adjusted.
When we had breakfast the young lady said I was using the wrong toaster but it would have been helpful in getting actual help instead of her talking from another room while talking to another member of staff. It made me feel a bit stupid!
The spa and swimming pool was out of action.
You had to pay £4pp at the gym.
The gym was ok but very dusty and could do with upgrading the older pieces of equipment. A few trip hazards too as they have aircon type machines or fans dotted around the room.

Le cadre, la taille de la chambre
Manque énorme de pression à la douche, et la literie à ressorts.... Pas agréable.
Après c'est dommage le manque de civisme des gens avec leur porte de chambre....

Was a very tired hotel, needs a lot of work to upgrade. Room very cold and damp!

Not much to not like, you get what you pay for but was a bit disappointing when the teaspoons were dirty and sticky but nothing major!

The grounds were fantastic, I'd love to go back solely to see it.
Hotel was very dated inside, definitely needed some renovation.

Breakfast was an improvement after the experience of the evening meal.
I emailed ahead for 13 of us to sit together for the evening meal. Didnt get a reply. I asked again at check in, was told 'we don't do this'. We approached staff for the same again when we turned up at the restaurant. Yes, they'll put some tables together. Again, it didnt happen so we did it ourselves! Evening meal: roast beef was tough as leather, no fresh vegetables, frozen carrots and very pale looking french beans. There was a white looking dish, turns out it's a nice chicken in white sauce. Nothing is labelled so you have no idea! Salad was shredded lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers plus pickles. Dessert was 2 gateaux , previously frozen type. I get the impression that not a lot of cooking happens in the kitchen
2.8
Nothing
All round shocking experience. Facilities very old and dated. £7 for shoddy Wi-Fi, £4 for a dated pool. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, and I travel for ALOT!
2.8
Photos looked good on the internet, once inside it’s very dated. Maybe get the 60 minute makeover team in
Needs a modern look, strong smell of cannabis in the corridors.

Breakfast and evening meal was OK, although very limited choice.
Swimming pool was nice
Seriously uncomfortable bed, hard and thin mattress, not able to sleep on it.
Tired and dated decor.
Spa bath bot working, with controls removed.
Missing plug in sink, so not able to shave.
Lamps in room not working.
WiFi would not work, despite asking 4 times for a working code.
Curtains in room were 3 inches short so sunlight flooded into room and we were unable to sleep.
Very noisy, slamming door throughout the night, no sound proofing in the room.
Unhelpful reception team, no info given about meals, facilities, WiFi and failed to get back to us regarding the paid WiFi.
Very limited choice of food at evening meal especially veggie options including at breakfast.
2.8
Breakfast and location were very good, beautiful grounds and hotel and bar were lovely
Room very dated but lovely and clean, would have preferred a shower rather than a bath , only 1 towel between 2 and nothing to bath or wash hands with, apart from that was fine
2.8
Needs a refurbishment
Broken basin
Some Lights not working
Broken kids bef
