We are living London, we wanted a quiet place to relax. New Forest house delivered it, having the forest just a minute walk from it allowed us to enjoy the pleasure of long walks through it, especially the dog. Our favourite times were the evenings having BBQs, playing games as family. In one day we had the pleasure to be visited by two deer in the garden as well, probably because it was raining heavily. At the bottom of the garden there’s a monkey tree swing, my favourite:)) we’ll definitely go there again.

I booked the house for me and my family to stay in, in the lead up to my wedding. The house was stunning and perfect for our large family! There were 16 of us total, and the house felt spacious even with 16 of us in there. The house was immaculate, the perfect layout with an incredibly beautiful garden. The hosts of this house are amazing and quick at replying to any questions asked. Would highly recommend.

Very helpful detailed information from the host about the house facilities and things to do locally.
Well equipped house with plenty of crockery and cooking equipment.
One guest found the mattress a bit lumpy(GF by staircase) and it was a bit difficult to gauge the size of the bedrooms from the site photos for judging the best room for young children, but helpful to have toddler bed /cot provided.
Would like the vrbo site to be clearer on how and when the 'service charge' is calculated

This property worked well for us as a family - we used it as a base for a family wedding in Lymington - and it had the perfect number of bedrooms to sleep us all - thank you very much Nathan and Julia

The bedrooms layout were good, there was plenty of parking space, the conservatory was a lovely space and communication with the owner was good.
However the dining room table only sat 8 so we had to bring in a rickerty table from outside and a couple of the family had to sit on the breakfast counter.
There were plenty of plates and cutlery etc but the cutlery in particular could do with updating!
The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were both great. However the beds in some of the other bedrooms were very old and uncomfortable - some of our party left early as the beds hurt their backs.
There were enough chairs in the lounge for everyone to sit on, but that included dining room chairs so not very comfortable to sit and chat and play games as a family of 13.
The garden was a lovely area and the grandchildren loved the swing and as a family we made use of badminton and table tennis. However the grass was so long and everything so overgrown that we couldn’t use any of the outside seating apart from the wooden table and chairs outside the conservatory.
This could be a lovely property but would benefit from some TLC

We we’re really pleased with the property, especially the kitchen and dining area. It was very clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, cups and crockery. The garden was lovely for the children, the trampoline and rope swing were well used. The extra fridge in the utility meant there was more than enough fridge space for all the food and drink for a group of 15 for 3 nights. Great communication from the hosts and the recommendation for a meal at the monkey brew house was well received we had a fantastic lunch there. The only negative would be that some of us felt the beds were a little uncomfortable, but we all said we would happily stay again.

The property is very spacious and well suited for family get togethers. The furniture is adequate and the garden is a really good size with plenty of spaces for the family.
The white goods are showing their age and could be replaced to make the property a 10/10. The TV reception was a bit in and out. Whether its the position of the house/dish I'm not sure but it does need some attention. But overall a very good holiday let. Would I return? Yes, with one or two minor upgrades.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great family space throughout. Facilities were good. We made full use of the garden and the activities. Lovely walk next to the house, 5 mins into lymington by car and easy to get to local area.
For a family weekend we would recommend this property. Check in and departure easy and communication with Nathan was good.

We stayed here as a family celebrating my mums 80th birthday, special memories to cherish, and visiting The Pig was just wonderful for us all. We shall return I'm sure x

Cornerways perfectly suited our needs for a small scale staff retreat (8 adults). Good amount of space to spread out - the Conservatory/kitchen is a lovely space. Weather was good to us, so we were able to have a lot of our meals at the outdoor veranda which was also very nice. Garden particularly good - having a sense of almost being in the midst of the forest! Lots of spaces to spread out or come together around the fire pit gazing at the stars (we're Londoners who don't get to the see the stars often!). We didn't need it but could see there is plenty of provision for children of all ages (table tennis, trampoline, football net, etc)
Kitchen well supplied and range cooker is great. We did a lot of cooking, so if I were to be picky, I'd say a bit more dining cutlery could be handy .
Beds all good - bedding not 5-star hotel standard, but all well laundered and fine.
Communication with Nathan was all good - quick to respond to queries and a really helpful pack of information came through in advance which actually left very little to need to ask!
Many thanks for a lovely stay!

Loved this place, very homely, tonnes of space, kids and dog paradise! An earlier check in would have topped this stay off.

Family celebration
The location of the property is excellent and we did have a good time together. However, we all felt that the property was way below the standard that we are used to for instance when booking through companies such as Rural Retreats.
1. The mattresses in almost all of the beds were well beyond their replacement date and were quite uncomfortable. The springs in one of the downstairs double mattresses were beginning to poke through the surface and made for very uncomfortable sleeping;
2. The bedding sheets and pillow cases were quite shoddy and some were appalling and many of the pillows again were beyond their replacement date;
3. The cutlery was really quite inadequate for a party of 12 people. There was a lot of it but there were lots of tiny and unsuitable items. The kitchen knives were in desperate need of sharpening but there was no sharpening implement. There was a number of different small coffee making implements all of which appeared quite usable and suitable at first glance until you got around to using them. We asked one of our family who arrived the next day to bring a cafetiere as well as some wine glasses of which there were only four;
4. Some of the cupboards under the sink were dirty;
5. Some of the bath mats had seen better days and appeared unhygienic. The drainage was quite poor particularly in the showers which caused them to back up so that your feet were in a cm or two of water;
6. Most of the downstairs rooms, particularly the lounge, were dark and dismal and two of the four light bulbs in the lounge were missing making this room very dark. The ventilation was generally quite poor with many windows unable to be opened because a key that fit the locks couldn’t be found. Most rooms felt rather damp and smelled musty. The conservatory became particularly hot on the one sunny evening that we had and it was difficult to keep it cool inside even with the door to the garden open;
7. The furniture throughout the ground floor was quite old and very tired and some, particularly in the lounge was not very clean. Some curtains were coming off the rail;
8. The furniture outside on the decking was really in a very poor state;
9. Finally, the garden was very overgrown and not very pleasant to look at. Some wisteria and ivy was growing through the windows. A fire-pit was advertised. In fact it was a small scorched bonfire area;
The cleaning lady had done her best to make the house clean and presentable.

Accommodation was exactly as listed and was brilliant for the holiday we planned
Experience was excellent and Nathan answered all questions and kept in touch the whole time

The house was a great base. We could visit lots of local attractions easily. It was spacious and accommodated 9 guests easily. The children really enjoyed playing in the garden, using the rope swing and the football goal.
The house itself is a little tired and could do with some updating. Mostly the house was clean but not nearly as clean as other properties we have stayed in. Towels and bedding were provided but they smelt a little like they had either been left in the washing machine too long or hadn’t been dried thoroughly.

Spacious house and garden. We enjoyed the swing, table tennis and other garden games. House great for 5 adults and 5 children. One minor point is that we found the fridge small for food for 10 people. But we loved our stay.

Overall we were pleased with the house which was clean warm and comfortable. Nathan was helpful with information before our stay. However the oven seemed to be under-performing which was a challenge when cooking the turkey!

WEEKEND IN LYMINGTON
EVERYTHING WAS AS GOOD AS EXPECTED

Half term fun
We had a group of 11 , 2 adult s and 9 children ranging from age 6-15. We had a brilliant stay in the New Forest and the house was perfect for our needs.
Plenty of space to eat and play. Equipped with everything we needed and ideally located for the Monkey restaurant which lived up to expectations.
Only change perhaps to label keys as in the dark on arrival it took a while to find the correct one. It’s a minor point which demonstrates how good everything else was.

Fantastic property, ideal for a large group.
This house is very well equipped, very tidy and homely. Our only suggestion is that the lounge could have benefited from some more seating. Otherwise a perfect property.

Brilliant holiday!
A lovely holiday home and fabulous location. There were 11 of us in our family group, ages ranging from 3 to 72. There was so much for us all of us to do and see in the area that we would definitely love to come back. The children absolutely loved the garden swing! It was a very comfortable house for a holiday and we managed to time our showers so that there wasn’t a problem with the water! Nathan is an excellent communicator and very easy to contact. A really lovely time was had by us all.

Great house for extended family get together!
We all had a great stay from the oldest to the youngest (4 generations). The house is spacious and comfortable with a fantastic garden.

Good property for group stay in New Forest
Good property with well sized bedrooms and living space for a large group to share. Kitchen space is sizeable and well stocked for self catering. Garden is good size for children to play in and well stocked with games etc to keep them amused.

Awesome property in the heart of the New Forest
Great property for a family get together with an amazing garden where the children could play and explore.
Close to some great pubs and the wonderful town of Lymington

Nice house, great garden for the children.
Perfect position for exploring the forest and beaches.
4.4
Spacious and well equipped House
Lovely spacious house, very well equipped and comfortable. Great garden. The rope swing was a massive hit with the kids. The only down side is being asked to dispose of your own rubbish (or pay an extra £25 to leave it). This was inconvenient. The nearby Waitrose is fine for getting rid of recycling but does not have facilities for leaving domestic non-recyclable waste
4.4
Great accommodation for a gathering
We were a group if seven adults getting together for a reunion and this house was perfect for our weekend. Enough rooms and space to not feel on top of each other and the conservatory and kitchen area is great for getting together. Garden and decking good and kitchen well equipped for a holiday let. Great location for walking and visiting local area. Good communication throughout with owner.

Fantastic stay in this spacious home from home!
We stayed at this spacious and well located property recently for a family gathering. It contained everything we could have possibly needed to make the stay easy with 11 people and 2 dogs fitting comfortably. Great location with great forest and coastal walks near by. Loads of choice for fab food and drink close by too.
Nathan was extremely proactive in answering any queries and provided really useful information about the property and area.
Would definitely stay again, thanks.

Lovely house with plenty of room for all the family
