The train station was very close to the hotel, a 7 min walk. We got there around 10am, early for check-in, but thankfully the guy (I completely forget his name!) was there and still allowed us to check in and leave our bags. We left and our room was ready a bit early around 2:30pm. Finishing check-in was very easy. I did notice some of the reviews mentioned there was never anyone around and that was basically true. Very rarely was there someone in the actually hotel (which only had a few rooms, but seems common in Italy). We did see someone cleaning rooms, but they don't clean the rooms during your stay, which was fine by us. The guy did give us his personal number and told us to reach out if we needed anything, but we didn't bother.
The location was amazing! We loved how central it was and there was tons of bars and restaurants literally right downstairs. We didn't bother looking for places to eat, because we just went downstairs and went to a different restaurant each night! Our colosseum tour also met about 3 min walk away which was fantastic!
The room was huge. We got the standard double room with a queen bed and it was very comfortable for my sister and I. I'm much more used to comforters so that wasn't great. It has a large window, with a cute view of the very active little street outside with all the bars and restaurants. Not really a view of the city, but fun to see anyways! It did get a bit loud at night, but if everything is closed up and the blinds closed, it wasn't bad. The room also had a nespresso machine.
Bathroom could be updated. It wasn't horrible, but definitely didn't fit the updated feel of the rest of the hotel
The "blanket" on the bed was incredibly thin. We had our own blankets for traveling with us and used them along with the sheets and "blanket" they provided.
Stairs. About 4 flights of stairs to reach the hotel. Not awful, but definitely something to think about when booking.
Lights: and honestly I just feel stupid for this, but the lights in the main halls of the hotel were never on when we were coming and going. We just always turned on our phone flashlights to get around. It wasn't until our last day that we figured out that next to every door (entry door and room doors) there were light switches to turn the lights on and off. Something I wish someone would have told us before!

The owner (Bernardo) was super helpful, helped with my issues and took care of all issues seriously.
We loved the cozy feeling of the room, it’s ‘aesthetic’ and ‘Roman-feel’.
- May require a little update on bathroom renovation
- Has a strong ‘wood’ scent as we entered the flat.

Great communication with the owner, excellent directions.
Cosy room, very clean with coffee & tea facilities.
The stairs 😃 getting up to the apartment. Not sure if this was included in the information or not.

Bernard was a brilliant host. Room was lovely, had separate coffee machine and kettle
The shower was not brilliant, and the water was always freezing cold.

Very good location. Comfort bed.
Bathroom would need a facelift but in general very good. Small repairments are required but it was not disturbing.

it’s beautiful and the location is simply amazing.
anything, I loved it!!

Amazing apartment in the best place in Rome, everything was perfect!

Bernard was an excellent host, incredibly helpful and welcoming. Very relaxing environment so near to the Forum and Colosseum.
Shower broken and bathroom in need of a few minor repairs.
3.6
Very convenient location, good communication from host, reasonable price with AC. Would stay again.
room was very dark, safe did not work, closet shelves were broken.

Clean and comfortable, great location.
The split mattress kept coming apart and the sheet wouldn't stay on haha I know it's a small thing.

It’s not a hotel, it’s just a small room. No reception and it’s all small road around hotel, in the evening so noisy outside, and the room it’s dirty, toilet is too disgusting.
3.6
paying for location which was very nice. very cute inside. close to everything and restaurants
bathroom only had two small shampoos that were the size of a ketchup packet. there was coffee machine but no mugs or pods (we got them when we asked though)! hot water didn’t work the last day and we were so tired and gross from walking all day
3.6
Location is excellent right beside and within walking distance to all tourist attractions. We did not need to take one bus/taxi/metro
Lack of facilities. We were given one brown paper toilet roll along with a small bar of soap and a small bit of shampoo. Not good enough.
Also the host was very difficult to contact. Messaged him a wee before we went away about getting an airport transfer and he didn’t bother to get back to us. We messaged him so much and did not hear anything, we were stressed out we wouldn’t have accommodation for the week.

The host was wonderful, our flight got delayed and we didn’t arrive until 1.30am but he stayed up to let us in even though we weren’t able to let him know we were delayed.
The location is excellent, so close to the Colosseum and the room had everything we needed

Very good location, a comfy bed and clean room. friendly staff!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! The manager was extremely unresponsive upon checking in. We had arranged to meet at the hotel at 5pm. I repeatedly texted and called him on WhatsApp where it said he was "Online" the whole time. He never responded. We stood out on the street with our suitcases for 2 hours. When he sent one of his former employees to let us in, we learned that the owner had gone outside of Rome for lunch and that he had probably drank too much to let us in.

The place is perfect in location, the room is exactly how it looks in the picture. I loved the cozy feel of it. The windows are double glass so you don't feel cold really of you go in winter i left the window open as i like it fresh air and a lil cold. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. Lot of options to eat in neighborhood. So close to colosseum that you can take a short walk to get all the view of morning and evening!
But we enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Bernardo! So it's overall Good stay
The bathroom/douche could have been better in terms of cleaning and freshness. May be a air freshener is good to be there because you could smell the drainage smell even when you shower or using the toilet. The toilet pot could have been more clean. It was having yellow lines, I certainly like top notch clean toilet and bathroom so for me that was a lil adjustment. Also good to have a handwash in the bathroom.
Rest everything was great. Only if these things are taken care of it would be remarkable!

The WC was untidy. It kept us from using it

The location was perfect, right next to all the main streets, yet nicely quiet at night.
On booking the room showed a bath, but this was for the 4 people room.
